"A ride? Really? That would be wonderful, that is if you don't mind, she looked questioningly between the rider and the bronze. "I don't want to be a burden." she added, the moonlight glistening in her shinning eyes she had only been on a dragon twice, but she had no fear whatsoever of flying, and enjoyed it very much indeed. The wind whistling, the ground disapearing beneath her, the feeling that one could go anywhere, do anything, it was better than swimming, and that was saying something. Her grin lit up the night and she almost forgot about her fish, that smelt so good, and she was Very hungry.

"Then it's settled, Plexith and I will give you a ride home" He told her with a pleased expression on his face "don't be silly your far from a burden and Plexith doesn't mind at all..neither do I" He assured her before motioning to the fish and uncovering the roll he'd brought with him from the kitchens. he wasn't sure if rolls were the type of things you were supposed to eat with fish but they seemed like they would go well enough "Now how about we try some of that fish you made?"

Plexith rumbled his agreement to the issue of giving her a ride home and watched them both with eyes that glowed like blue faceted jewels in the growing dark.

To cover up any awkwardness she could possibly instill on the conversation she stuffed a piece of fish in her mouth. " OO ee hawt hawt " she swallowed it quickly and as an afterthought she warned D'lin, " I would blow on it first if I were you, you might actually get to taste yours." She laughed at herself. She blew on the next bite and the fish was indeed goos if she did say so herself, and so was the roll although she was wary about eating it with the fish, it actually wasn't bad together, as long as you didn't mix them outright.

'And you people say I don't chew' Plexith remarked in a droll tone to them both as he watched Lilias stuff the fish into her mouth 'it is far better fresh, not all hot and dried as you people like it' He went on further in a helpful tone.

"Yes thank you Plexith..but I think we'll pass on trying it raw" D'lin responded with an amused glance at his dragon - though he did take the time to blow on it a bit before taking a nibble a Lilias had suggested to avoid burning his mouth as she had. "Very good" He complimented her after he'd gotten a good taste. "Certainly better then I've had it elsewhere...though don't tell any of the cooks I said that, they'd have my hide for sure"

"It takes a fisherman to cook the fish. I've always said. Sorry Plexith I've had sushi and i still like my fish cooked, no offense." she stuck out her tongue and made an "ICK" face. "So D'lin what was impression like for you? I've heard the generic term about finding the half you didn't know was missing but I am curious nonetheless. And if I may ask Plexith a question what was it like for him?"
PostPosted: Sun Dec 26, 2010 3:54 pm

"I'm afraid I have to agree with her Plexith" D'lin told his dragon "Though I have never tried this sushi as she calls it...I'm pretty certain I'll keep cooking my food" He concluded before taking another bite of the fish and pondering her question.

"Impression? I expect it was..freedom..for me at least, I did not want to be a smith and that was the future set before me until I was searched. When Plexith came..well it was the last nail in the coffin for that future and the start of an entirely new one. The generic answer is true of course, it is like finding a missing piece of yourself but I expect it means something else, something personal and individual to everyone" He confessed before looking to Plexith to see if the bronze would decide to answer or not. One couldn't always tell with dragons..but D'lin thought Plexith fond enough of Lilias that he would do so.

'Without him I would not be' Plexith answered simply 'We are one, meant to be joined and both lost if we hadn't' He concluded with a deep rumble.

" See I knew there was something deeper." Lilias grinned broadly, thank you D'lin and Plexith." she munched on more fish, happy and content in her current company. It was lonely with just her and she liked the company and the chance to fish, she was certainly proud of the monster she and Dlin had pulled in and Plexith had seemed to enjoy himself. " When do you think the next hatching will be?" she asked
PostPosted: Mon Dec 27, 2010 1:10 pm

D'lin winced slightly at Lilias second question - not so much at the thought of more egg, everyone loved a good hatching but at the knowledge that Plexith would almost certainly give chase..and D'lin wasn't sure if he was truly ready to handle that eventuality. Not that he had much of a choice in the manner.

And in any case Lilias had asked it as an innocent question and o deserved an answer "Plexith? What do you think?" He asked the dragon, thinking perhaps the bronze would be keeping an eye on their queens more then he did. 'There is some time yet' Plexith told them both though with a dragon that could be anything from years to months - their grasp of time wasn't alway the best when it came to the future. 'But Serlaith has matured well and I shouldn't think it will be too long before she rises' He concluded

"A few months at the very least I would expect" D'lin continued after Plexith had finished answering "Though only the goldriders would be able to make a really good guess I think"

"Good to know, you would think it would be the goldriders who would know hey?" Lilias laughed at herself. "I'm sure Plexith will represent his Weyr well in the next flight, you shouldn't worry D'lin." she said seeing the consternated look on his faith and coming to the wrong conclusion.

'I shall certainly try' Plexith remarked once Lilias had finished speaking, eying the both of them with contented green/blue eyes a remark which made D'lin sigh inwardly though he didn't really know how to correct Lilias assumption without sounding childish or stupid ..so he merely nodded and then covered up any awkwardness that might be left over with finishing up his fish and roll.

"Oh that was good, dinner is always better with good company, thank you for joining me D'lin, Plexith." she nodded at each in turn. "Couldn't have asked for a better day, what with our fishing and the action when that huge leviathan nearly pulled me in." she laughed, delighted. It had been a very very good day.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 30, 2010 10:36 am

"It was good" D'lin agreed as he finished off the last few bites of his dinner and squinted at the sky over the water, it wasn't quite dark yet but sunset was well underway none the less 'I expect we should be heading back before it get too dark for even Plexith to see properly" He remarked and the bronze rumbled an agreement before getting to his feet and D'lin stood to help gather their things and kick sand over the fire to make sure it was well and out before they left.

Useing Plexith foreleg D'lin mounted and then offered a hand down to help Lilias swing up behind him for there return trip. 'I will fly very smoothly' Plexith promised her.

"I know you will Plexith and thank you again, no finer flyer than a trine bronze, and a treat not many girls get. Thank you D'lin" and she firmly grasped his hand as he helped her up on the shimmering back. sh seated herself firmly and held onto the nearest neckridge. She was so ready!
PostPosted: Sat Jan 01, 2011 6:38 am

When D'lin was sure Lilias was seated securely he gave Plexith the okay to fly, the bronze had already sunk down on his haunches ready to leap for the sky and didn't need to be told twice. "Hang on" D'lin warned her a second before Plexith leapt gaining enough ground for that first all important down sweep of wings.

Plexith was good to his word and rose smoothly into the air, rather then turning directly to the Barracks however the bronze took it upon himself to bank in a wide smooth circle over the Weyr first and D'lin didn't raise any objection..might as well give Lilias a decent ride, of course there was only so much time they could take circling the Weyr and so it still wasn't all that long before the were spiraling down to land before her barracks. D'lin dismounted when they touched ground to help her down. "Home safe and sound. Good night Lilias" He bid her

Lilias clung to her selected neckridge at D'lin's warning, she felt the intensive impact of the first down sweep of Plexith's wings, she new very soon that they would be very very high in the air. She leaned against D'lin enjoying with him the power and strength of his dragon. Her grin nearly lit up the night. She could see the entire Weyr from up here, and instead of landing right away Plexith and D'lin circled the Weyr first giving her a true tour of Trine. It was beautiful with the stars reflecting off the lake and the roof of the individual weyrs. She quickly fell into the comfortable rhythm of Plexith's wing strokes a little quicker than the lilt of a ship or fishing vessel but very very smooth. And very efficient on his big wings with their large area, scooping the air into large flowing eddies, flight was beautiful and when they landed, her checks were red and she couldn't wipe the smile off her face.

"Oh, thank you, D'lin, Plexith, that was wonderful." she closed thedistance and exuberantly hugged the bronze rider, then she pulled back, dancing back and forth on her feet, she bowed to Plexith. "Goodnight you two, have a safe flight home!." she waved before she retreated to her dwelling.
