She giggled, enjoying spending this time with Uumi. She had expected to see him and simply say goodbye, but this was much better! She watched his own rock roll into the circle and lowered herself to try and line up the shot. Then with a flick of her paw sent one of her own rolling into the circle...further...further. It rolled past Rocky's own and moved to settle close to the center.

Well...it could have been worse, right?

"Looks like I need some practise." She laughed.

He smirked slightly, a twisted smile forming on his maw. Probably the closest he'd come to laughing. He flicked another rock, and it moved past his and fell just short of Kib's.

He grumbled lightly. "Looks like we both need practice." Well neither have played this ever before, have they?

She noticed his smile and quickly glanced away in case he noticed. She didn't think she'd ever seen an expression on his face other than a scowl. It was nice to see him express something different from usual.

"Practise, yes!" Though she doubted she'd play the rock game with anyone other than Uumi.

"Okay! My turn, this time I'm gonna do good." She squeaked, tail flicking behind her.

She flicked the rock with a little too much enthusiasm and it rolled through the circle before settling on the outside of the rim. "Oops...guess that wasn't so good." She gave him a bashful glance.

Uumi almost laughed at this, almost. He contented himself with a snort and another smirk, flicking another rock. It flew into the circle and hit his own, which rolled into Kib's and pushed hers out of the center. "Ah!" He exclaimed. Maybe he could like this game...

Kiburi sniffed and made a shocked expression. "Aww I'm loooosing." Her complaint ended in a giggle as she set herself up for her next shot. There were two of his near the center now so she had a pretty decent chance of her getting a shot.

"Okay...concentrate." She spoke out loud, narrowing one eye to get a better look at the rocks positioned within the circle.

Then flicking her paw in a more controlled manner she watched as her rock rolled into the center, knocking into the one that had caused hers to move outside of the circle before.

It rolled slowly on its side coming to a standstill on the edge of the ring. "Nuuuu so close!" Kiburi squeaked, trying to blow at it in a weak attempt at getting it to roll one more time.

Uumi's eyes narrowed as he heard the small clack of her stone hitting his, watching his stone intently. Phew! It didn't go out! He began to purr contently, though broken the purr was. He flicked his next rock, trying to be careful about it. It clattered into the pebbles near the center, making a couple of his and hers tumble just a bit toward the outer rim. And then he spotted on of his, out. Crap. He hissed lightly, maybe he was even pouting.

I can tell you one thing, Uumi hated losing.

She let out a small 'squee' of delight as she regained one point back due to a fault of Uumi's and took delight in the pout that was beginning to show on his face. He looked very cute with that expression - though she withheld this information in case he got annoyed.

"One to meeee!" She squeaked, "though you're still winning so don't give in just yet."

Then with an expression that showed she was working everything out she flicked another small rock towards the center, it skidded around, knocking against her other rock so that they stood side by side near the outer rim. Probably a dangerous situation to be in.

"Hmm..." She pondered, awaiting Rocky's next move.

Uumi glanced to her, head tilting. How could she be so cheerful.. losing? The whole point of a game was to win! "Are you enjoying losing?" This wasn't a taunt or tease, he was actually curious about it.

His ears pressed back ad he glanced back to the circle, eyeing her two stones. He had to be careful about this! He took careful aim and flicked. His pebble must of hit a little nitch in the rock because it bounced a little, clattering against one of her stone's but not the other, and both went out!

Kiburi glanced up at his question and gave him a wide smile, white teeth glistening in her maw. "I don't mind either way, just playing the game is fun enough for me." She smiled, "I'm used to losing games at any rate, my brother is stronger than me so maybe that's part of the reason." She pondered on this a little longer, her thoughts ending on a small shrug.

Then her eyes caught sight of the rock and she gave another small squeal of delight, "trick shot!" She beamed, "Uumi is good at this." Oops...she hadn't meant to use his name. >_>;; Perhaps he wouldn't notice?

Hmph. Well Uumi never played games, so he figured he wanted to win the only game he ever did. His tail flicked a little, curling around his paws.

His ear flicked toward her, and he glanced to her. Surprised, obviously. So the little brat did know his name! "A mistake, not a trick shot." He murmered, watching her intently. Why keep up with that bothersome nickname if she knew his name?

Glad that he hadn't mentioned the slip up she lowered herself once more to prepare for her next...and seemingly last shot - as it appeared this was her last rock.

So far it was two to one (I think? =S )in Rocky's favour, the most she could hope for at this rate was a draw - and that's if she did well this time.

"Mistake or not it was still pretty good." She replied to him, "well here goes, last rock roll trueee!" With that said she gave a flick or her paw and it skimmed rather enthusiastically across the dusty ground.

It bounced once, rolled unceremoniously and tapped gently against the side of Uumi's pebble.

She gave a sniff of her nose and then looked up to him with a sheepish smile. "Ahh well I'll just have to practise more when I get bored out there in the wide world." Her eyes sparkled.

"Okay your turn! Make the last one count Rocky!"

He snorted, thinking that there were so many more things she could do and probably would do than practice this stupid game. Stupid, true.. but it was kind of fun. Maybe a little.

He flicked his rock and it went rolling accross the ground, instead of hitting hers it hit one of his right nect to it, and both skittered out. Oh come now! He hadn't flicked it that hard! He growled slightly, but surpressed his anger. Not Peach's fault. Not the game's fault.

"Hmph. Well a rather dull game, but I suppose it was alright to pass the time." He murmered softly. It was too bad he lied so much, eh?

She gave a light chuckle, eyes sparkling with amusement but quickly stopped the sound in case it annoyed him further. "You like to do the difficult shots!" She spoke up as she regarded him through clear, glassy eyes.

She sat up then, gazing at he pebbles sprawled across the ground. "Dull game? I guess I'll have to think up some more ready for when we next meet." She chirped, words ending in a purr that rumbled endlessly from her throat.

"It was nice talking with you again." And she truly meant that. Rocky had been the first lion she had ever met and she'd never forget him. He was right, they would definately meet up again someday.

She shifted once more, getting to her feet and moving to stand closer to him as she gazed at the horizon. She drew in a deep breath, pulling her posture more upright. "I guess this is it. Now all that's left to do is say goodbye to the family." She turned her gaze to the red lion and smiled softly, a slither of sadness in her expression now.

"I'll miss you." Then gathering her courage she moved forwards a little, pressing her nose against his with a feathery touch before darting away with all the strength she possessed. It was highly likely Rocky would get grumpy from such an action and she didn't want to be close to him when realisation gripped him.

"Goodbye Uumikaji!" Her voice was carried upon the wind as she loped away, her slender form as bright as a pearl against a sea of green.

Well of course, who wanted to do easy shots? Difficult ones certainly provided more of a challange, even if it did more bad for his game than good. He sighed, turning away to try and hide one of those awkward smiles. It amazed him no matter what he said she turned it into something positive, it was very irksome. "Hmph, or just get better at this one. I will too, but I'll certainly be much better than you at it." He glanced back to her, a half lazy half smug look on his maw.

Yeah, he guessed it was nice. And that worried him, he truly shouldn't be spending time with little Peach. But she'd be going soon, and obviously had the fool noushin in her skull that the two were friends. "Yeah you have fun doing th--" he cut off as her nose touched his for an instant, instantly causing him to jerk back and narrow his eyes. But she was off before he could reprimand her for it.

He scrunched his nose a little, not able to get the weird sensation of the feath light touch away from it. "I'll miss you too..." He murmered, staring after her. And it was true, too. He would miss Kib, the first lion who'd put up with him and completely ignored his mean nature.

He took a careful breath and looked away, crimson gaze floating back to the sky. This was not a feeling he liked. He rose to his paws and stretched, eyeing the scattered rocks and the dust circles. "Though we will meet again." He told no one imparticular, moving away and toward the opposite direction Kib had gone in.
