Sora notices he is following her and stops, turning with a slight growl. "What do you want with me? You said so yourself that you cannot kill me so why don't you just return home!" She barks, slowly becoming angry for some reason. She bares her teeth to show her increasing aggression while her tail lashes from side to side.

Sora growls again, turns around, and just walks on. She grumbles unintelligibly to herself. "Of everyone in this world, I got stuck with a demon whom I'm being forced to marry..." She mutters. Her left ear twitches as she picks up the sound of battle close by. "Of course I could always..." She glances back at him for a second before taking off in the direction of the battle.

I ran after her, jumping into the air, using my wings and pushing wind under them to get to her faster. When I'd caught up to her, I dropped enough to wrap my arms around her ribcage, lifting her off the ground. "Sorry, I can't let you do that," I said. I flew up higher, using the wind to lift us up. ==== ☠ ====

Sora yelps in surprise. She hadn't expected him to react like this. "P-Put me down!" She cries, attempting to squirm out of his grasp. "Why are you doing this?! Put me down right now!"

Sora watches helplessly as the battle fades out of sight. "Why..Why did you do that?! You said yourself that you want me dead!" She snarls and bites his arm out of anger. "I want to die!" She says, slightly muffled from having his arm in her mouth.

Sora slowly lessens her grip and lets go of his arm. "I want...to die..." She repeats softly, hanging her head in defeat. I've been trapped inside a cage...from which there is no escape...my fate is the decision of my captors...and their will is that I marry this demon that holds me like nothing more than a puppet... Depression washes over her and she whines quietly to herself.

Sora falls on her side, not really caring that it bruises her side slightly. She just stares off into the horizon, motionless. Her gaze slowly shifts to a path she had taken with her father as a child. I remember that day....He told me..promised to me..that he would always let me choose for myself...And should that promise be broken..the flowers in that meadow would wither and die from the sorrow they would sense.... She gets up and slowly walks to where a path lies hidden under the grasses. "I remember..." She whispers softly, her eyes distant.

I thought about following her to find out, but decided that I didn't really care enough. I sat down in the grass. I spread my wings out and laid back. My wings were stretched out on both sides of me. Sora ventures silently through the dense trees. "And should I venture too close if the promise is broken...a terrible fate will befall me." She says, almost trance-like as she steps closer to the end of the trees. A peculiar sound fills her ears and she looks about rather cautiously.

Sora glances back silently. This may be my only chance.. She steps into the meadow and her eyes widen at what she sees. everything within the meadow is decaying into ash. "Father was right.." She says, horrified. She suddenly feels something snake around her legs and a shocking pulse forces her to human form. "What...is this..?" She mutters.
