((alright, we can go with that))

Hector turned the sign around and then unlocked the cafe doors. He then walked back over to Esther with his arms crossed. "What did you just call me?" he asked her with an unimpressed look on his face. His employees were not supposed to call him by his first name unless he gave them special permission. Esther did not have it at the moment. She was supposed to call him Mr. Williamsfield.

Esther shivered under the cruel tone he seemed to give off, a shiver going down her spine. "Sorry...Mr.Williamsfield," she murmured submissively.
Seems like her sleep deprivation was getting to her. How could she forget such an important rule?!

Esther stepped back in uncomfortability, nodding her head. "Won't happen again..." her voice faded as she eyed the door again, trying to avoid looking at Hector.

However, Esther truly did think that this job shouldn't be so formal. They all knew each other here and should be able to call one another by first names.
She considered these people her friends and her....second family.

She released an anxious breath, finally summing up courage to give Hector a reassured look and a nod. She ran a hand through her long hair, glancing at the door again as she saw one customer enter the resturant. She waited to see if her other coworkers would get them or she would. It didn't rewally matter.

Hector smiled warmly at Esther. "Thank you" he said in a friendly manner and then went to check in the kitchen to see how the cooks were doing in preparing the cakes and stuff for the day.

The staff didn't have to use formal names with each other, just him. Hector felt that as their boss, he required some respect payed to him by those he hired. It may have been his background, growing up rich but he felt that this respect included using a formal name for him.

Lilly said nothing. She thought that some of the rules, such as calling Hector by his last name, Mr. Williamsfield, but she felt that some of that silliness was what gave the cafe it's charm. Truthfully, Hector didn't scare her at all.

(( Oh, -facepalm- ))

Rue pushed the door opened, just a few moments after the cafe opened. She paused for a moment at the door, knocking the back of her knuckle on the door frame before stepping inside and letting the door slide from her hand. She crossed her arms to wait for a server.

"Hello and welcome to the Evening Rose Cafe." Lilly smiled. "Table for one?"

Aline walked down the street, clutching her sketchbooks under her arm. She was wearing a black sleeveless jacket that hung just past her knees with patterned stockings and low boots. A long 'trash' shirt hung limply under her jacket. Her hair was messily curled, and her cheeks were flushed. She walked into the cafe, excited to get to work.

Kallen saw a girl walk in and walked over. "Hello, welcome to the Evening Rose Cafe." She said.

"Table for one, please." Aline said.

Kallen nodded. "Right this way, miss." She said, guiding the customer to a cozy table in the corner.

"Perfect." Aline said with a warm smile. "Thank you."

Esther stood there for a moment, watching customers file in. She held the menus to her bodice tightly, scanning for another to come in.

Eventually did Atlas stroll in at the same time he did every day these past several days.
He pocketed his hands, honey eyes wandering the cafe for sandy blonde hair and golden eyes. He smiled when he found his sister and stood there casually despite how rich-looking he looked.
He whipped off his sunglasses, hooking them on the collar of his shirt as he watched Esther come toward him.

Esther eyed her customer.
He had come in here for the past several days and left large tips. He looked familiar, however she didn't know who he was. "Hello. Welcome to the Evening Rose Cafe. Table for one?" She asked politely, looking up at him.

Atlas nodded and was lead by Esther to a dainty table next to a window. He was amused everytime he saw her.

For one, it was interesting how Esther did not recognize him.
But it had been several years that he had last saw her.

For another reason, she was very beautiful.
He was suprised how she grew and changed from the last couple of years. And from the last couple days, he was intrigued by her every move.
How his little sister entertained him just by her presence! He sat down with a large grin.

"Another expresso sir?" Esther asked. She smiled, like she did with every customer. However, her opinion on him was sour.
She found him a cocky, self-absorbed person who liked to throw his money around. And she found him kind of creepy since he always asked for her. But her smile was unwavering.

"And a turkey sandwich," Atlas added, drumming his fingers against the table, not needing a menu to order. He looked up at her with longing eyes, grinning widely at her.

Esther nodded, scribbling down his order and taking his menu. "I'll come back with your order in a bit," she said and skittered away, into the back and pasting the order sheet on the wheel. She lingered there as Beck let her have a bite of a breakfast burrito. She munched on it before retreating back to the entrance to service another customer to a table.

Beck worked on the order given to him by Esther. He put her burrito on a dish near the ordering window. He began to toast some bread before making the expresso, whipping some cream. He placed it on the order counter before working on the sandwich. Beck placed that on the counter as well before starting on a dozen apple tarts for the day. He barked some orders around the kitchen, telling people to start making the cakes and things for the day. Beck's eyes lingered on Hector as he turned to work. "Anything you need Mr.Williamsfield?" He asked.

Rue's eyes glided over to Lily's after a bit of a pause; she'd already managed to let her mind wander. "Yes, please." Her thoughts turned to Selk out on the street and smiled to herself, imagining him sitting at one of the tables with his paws tucked under him in that strange, crooked way he had that had nothing to do with an injury. Like she could ever get him in here.

But she still made a sort of vow to herself then to try.

"No, I am just making sure that everything is running smoothly. A sandwich this early? I guess some people like a brunch. I will want to speak to you about your tardiness during your break. Come to my office then" Hector said to Beck, then fixed his glasses. He left the kitchen and then walked back out to see the customers coming in. He clasped his white gloved hands together and smiled. "Excellent. I think today will be a good day for business" he said gleefully.

"Alright. Please follow me." Lilly said, leading Rue to a table and handing her the menu. "Just tell me when your ready to order."

"Thank you. Could I get some water, just to start?" she looked at Lilly with what you could suppose were questioning eyes. Rue looked back down to her menu, enjoying the opportunity to pick out whatever she felt like having today. She also let her eyes wander at the other customers, trying to gauge whether any of them needed a house built. Hey, it'd happened before.

Hector went into his office and then returned with some sheet music. He put it on the piano and then had Leon go and play it for the customers. He then walked over to the window and saw a small boy pressing his hands and face against it looking in. He placed his wrists on his hips while looking at the boy and then pointed to the sign that said no putting hands on the windows, even outside.

"As you wish." Lilly replied, jotting her order down and turning to go get her a glass of water.
