She nodded her head as the older female explains how to use the hose. It seemed a little odd to have her do it herself but she imagined the angelic must know more about it than she did. "I think I can manage," she replied shakily, "Thank you--" she trailed off waiting for a name to be given. Once it was, she would rectify the thanks to include it.

After offering her thanks for the instructions, Rosebud managed to open the shampoo bottle and squirt some of the orange liquid into her paw. She rather liked the smell of oranges but she liked the scents of the shampoos Aurora uses better--mostly roses but sometimes tangerines--and she let it warm against the pad of her paw before she began to rub it into her hair. It looked a bit funny, her vivid red hair caked in mud and being cleaned with orange shampoo.

She managed to her hair soaped up and then looked at the hose pondering the best way to use it. She ended up sitting on it, pointing the sprayer head towards her (and away from the towel) and squeezing the lever slightly until she was sure it wasn't going to send her flying. Now that she wasn't afraid of being a wingless fairy, she cleaned herself off and scurried to dry off with the towel. "That's much better," she stated quietly.

Then she joined Speed and Opheliac, nice and clean, and ready to help again.

Damshe climbed upon the slick but sparkly clean boulders. Having gained thia vantage point, he took a moment to survey the whole mess and to consider whether his idea might work.

"Hmmmmm," he thought out loud. "Maybe, and maybe not... In any case, it's better than nothin'."

Damshe looked down at the red-haired otter. She had once again attempted to communicate with him, although he still had no idea what she was saying. However, in trying to remove the bubbles and having more pop up, he once again got the basic message.

"Right then..." he said, rubbing his hands together. "I'm going to try to fix this. You might want to duck under water for a few minutes. REAL deep... Things are about to get a bit hot up here..."

Angelus was about to sit back and enjoy watching the fire spread, he could picture the ranger station going up in flames now. That would teach that nosey ranger to try and order them about! Except where his lovely blaze had been starting up there were now just...bubbles. Rainbow shining pretty easily popped bubbles! He sprang to his feet and looked around infuriated. That did it! Who dared!? WHO?

Then he caught it, just as Merryweather took aim and sent her spell he leapt, his black leather pants were suddenly patterned in blue flowers. He growled and leapt onto the windowsill his yellow eyes narrowed on the tiny fairy squirrel. Oh a delicious magical snack...then out of nowhere some excess sprayed water came flying at him. He sputtered and snarled shaking off and glaring down. It was a bunch of otters getting clean, cleaning, ugh annoying pathetic do gooders. He glared down at his pants and then looked around to try and catch sight of the fairy. He had, had it though and with a snarl he leapt down.

"I'll be back..." He growled stalked off into the shadows...of course his rear wriggling in those blue flower patterned leather pants really ruined his usually wicked effect.

She watched the hooman climb up her eyes sparkling with excitement, he had two legs and just look at that! He climbed as good as they did, it was amazing! She tilted her head as he seemed to talk to himself and then she heard his directions. He wanted her to go under the water? deep down? how was that going to fix things? Well he was a hoo-man maybe he had some kind of special powers.

Besides deeper in the water there were no bubbles or soap and she could breath easier. She gave him a nod and then dove down deeper and deeper until she could just barely make out the light against the surface of the water. She could tell where the dark patches of floating bubbles moved about, what a mess.

To say the fairy hadn't been at all intimidated by the wicked vampire staring at her with his yellow eyes would have been a lie, one she would've told him if he asked. She wasn't afraid of being eaten though. She had a few tricks up her sleeves after all. Not that that meant she couldn't have been, slippery slope really--confidence and arrogance.

Still once he had lost sight of her, oh distractions, she's been ready to fight. She was a mite disappointed that he decided to back off but then decided it was for the best. Rosebud and Aurora were out there, she didn't want her nieces getting spotted or singled out.

"I'll be counting the flowers!" Merryweather shouted after him, leaving it open to determine which ones she meant. Although with the pretty pattern of his pants, it was probably those. She waved because it was funny and then once he was gone wilted for a moment to catch her breath. She took a look around the blue kitchen, decided to put it right and changed it back, then flew to check on her nieces--Aurora first and then she imagined they would both go check on Rosebud.

After he was sure that the red-haired otter had gone deep enough, Damshe began his preparations.

First, he took a more stable stance, placing one foot slightly forward of the other. Next, he stuck both hands straight out in front of him, his palms aimed at the large cloud of bubbles. Now came the tricky part.

The main part of his plan would require utmost concentration in order to insure that there was no collateral damage. The wrong application of power here could result in either the whole place boiling over or a forest fire beyond.

Damshe briefly considered whether he should have had the otter wait on the shore behind him. After all, he wasn't sure of how long she could hold her breath down there. Maybe he should call her back up?

Damshe squelched the idea. It'd be better to get this over with so that her home could go back to normal. Besides, if anything, she looked more at home in the water than on the land.

"Here goes nothing," Damshe said, taking a deep breath.

Concentrating his energy into his hands, Damshe allowed it to build to extremely high levels. Holding his arms as steady as possible, he released a giant blast of flame and hot air. Most of the bubbles were obliterated on impact. Those that weren't were blown skyward, floating harmlessly into the atmosphere. The waters were now clear again.

Meanwhile, Damshe tried to steady himself from the recoil of the energy release. He tried moving one foot to steady himself, but placed it wrong, slipped, overbalanced, and fell flat into the water.

Ariel was deep down, and luckily she was a mr-otter which meant she could stay deep in the water for as long as needed. She watch looking up though curious about what the hoo-man was going to do. Then it happened, the water felt slightly warmer and a huge burst of light appeared above. She was shocked, she was awed, started, terrified, and amazed! Hoo-mans could breathe fire! That was clearly the only explanation for her, for what had happened above. Then she saw the human hit the water and before it decided to breath fire again she quickly swam away. She was never ever going to forget that!

When the little otter thanked her, the angelic femme realized she hadn't given her name. "Oh, I'm Ophie, dear, and you're welcome. While I'm thinkin' about it, I didn't get your name, either. I mean, though, if you don't wanna tell me, it's ok. I know I'm kind of a stranger." She figured that the little one's guardians might have told her not to talk too much to strangers- probably a good idea. There were some scary critters running about the oasis. But now that she was clean, they could turn their attention to the problem at hand.
"Hey, you up there!" she called. "In the jeep- need any more towels or sponges or help?"

Damshe swam back to the surface, his eyes stinging from his unorthodox landing.

"Not my most graceful maneuver," he said out loud. "Okay, water's clear. You can come out again."

He treaded water for a few minutes but did not see the otter return. Feeling the water, he found that it was only lukewarm where he was, so it couldn't have boiled her to death. She must have seen the fireworks and been scared away.

Just the slightest bit saddened by this, Damshe shrugged his shoulders and swam back to shore where he had left his jacket. He was mostly used to people being afraid of him. At least, when they had figured ut what he was capable of. Still, as long as he had successfully provided assistance, he was happy enough.

"Though, maybe next time," he mumbled to himself. "I'll try not to make it too flashy..."

After drying off, Damshe put his jacket back on and plodded off to continue his earlier garbage incineration duties.

"I'm Rose Red but everyone calls me Rosebud," she replied. She had been told by the fairies not to talk to strangers until Aurora had explained to them how lonely that could be. They'd wearily decided perhaps the princess had a point.

She waited to see if the otter in the jeep needed help, not noticing at first when Aurora sat beside her or Merryweather landed (still small as a thimble) on her head.

"You look much better clean, dear," Aurora teased the pup.
