"Ahh..." He didn't have grandparents on his father's side, anymore. It was a little sad to think about. On his mother's side... well, who the hell knew ? Certainly not him. And he wasn't about to go ask.
"I guess it is that simple." And it was. It was all there was to it, really. "But at the same time I can't stop thinking that I could have done better... even if I part of me seems to know that it's not the case. It makes no sense, doesn't it ?" He let out a chuckle.

Istas nodded, leaning back a bit to look at Xavier. "Maybe we can plant some?"
She tilted her head thinking, "Mama says I can't change the fact colored out of the lines. I can only try to do better and try not to do it the next time." She tilted her head, "I mean I guess it kinda sorta makes sense..." she paused with a frown.
"Did you learn from it? Mama always asks me that."
She paused looking at the sky, "It's starting to get dark earlier isn't it?"

"I don't think sunflowers would fit in my flower box." Xavier answered, a smile on his face. "I like allllll the way up the 4th story of an apartment building. Maybe you can ask your mom to plant some next year ?"
He did have a flower box. He just hadn't done anything with it - not that end of august was a good time to do that kind of thing.
Did he learn from it ? That was such a simple question, but yet a very valid one. He had learned from it, in a way. Too much noise was bad. Bad as in, extremely bad for his fighting chances, in some sort of paradox. Too much to handle. Perhaps once he... ranked up, it would be different ?
He was frowning in thought at that, but then caught himself. "I learned a few things, yeah. About what I should watch out on." Maybe.

Istas nodded, "I'll do that." She said with a smile and a nod. They did have a yard at least. "Maybe snap dragons would fit in your box?" she asked curiously.
She watched him as he frowned, tilting her head, "You know what my mom would say?" She asked him waiting for a second. "If you learned something you shouldn't worry about what happened, and use what you learned for the next time."
She gave a slight pause, "She says that to daddy all the time."
Istas was watching the sun. She should probably go home soon, to keep from being out in the dark, at least keep her parents from knowing she was often out in the dark now.

"Seems that your mother is a very wise lady." He said then, his left hand moving to ruffle the top of her curls gently. "And so are you. Thanks, Lulu."
Sometimes the truest things came from children, after all.
"It's getting dark..." He finally noticed. "Do you want me to walk you home ?" After all, his legs worked just fine !

Istas chuckled and smiled, "You're welcome~"
She paused thinking, did she want him to walk her home? She shrugged, "If you want to. Then mommy couldn't actually yell at me for being out alone." She chuckled slightly.

"See ? It all works out." He chucked and then folded his jacket sleeve back over his cast after making sure the glittery ink was dry.
"Shall we get going, then ?" Normally, he might have stopped to treat her to something on the way, but with him not working, money was a little tight, and bills still had to be paid. He could have asked his father for help, of course, but he was much too proud for that. It was his last option.

She nodded with a smile, "Yes it does."
Istas gave another nod, "Alright then, I live this way." She said as she started to lead the way. It'd be at least a fun walk, she didn't mind not being treated to something, it's not like she actually needed ice cream before bed.
