Zink looked up with a blink of surprise at the compliment. "Thank you... " He said with deep sincerity. "Your skills with this are impressive as well, especially with a recent handicap. I can understand your promotion too... its very clear you have the drive and skill for this." He lifted the blades very carefully to examine them and nodded. "We could cast a rubber sheath for these without too much difficulty I think, some -smell- of course, but that...and adding perhaps a thick reenforced edge from here..." he tapped the tip of the blade carefully "to here..." he tapped the back. "With some kind of method to secure them would work perfectly." He nodded and laid the chain across both hands, the blades pointed harmlessly down to hand it back.
"I would be proud to keep training with you, and have you help train my team....Captain."

He took his weapon back, glad for the bit of security it brought him. It was still new to him, but like how he moved from being an Lieutenant to Captain, his weapon had taken the same journey as he did. He let it fizzle out of reality and allowed his hands to drop.
"Thanks." It was a little awkward to be exchanging compliments with Zink, but well, they did have an odd friendship (for whatever it was) after all. "I look forward to it."
He looked about. "Now can we leave here? This place freaks me out."

Zink let out a sharp laugh and nodded. "We can, I think we did good work for one evening." he laughed and, in a rare moment of camaraderie, patted the other Captain on the shoulder and followed him to the door.
