Effergy vs. SackPatrolZvP (Another platinum match!)Sack had it pretty well together early game, but he loses pace as it goes on. You also get to witness my terrible attempts at kiting.

If you were worried at any point in time during that game, you shouldn't have been. You had the upper hand pretty much all game long, you out macrod him pretty good. I'd like to just touch on your creep spread, it has improved a lot, so good job on that. I think you may have over invested just a little bit into corruptors, which may come as a fear for collosus, but you could have cut 3-4 of those corruptors. I think if you wanna deal with collosus more effectively you need to find a protoss partner and just experiment and practice against that build over and over again until you can get the right numbers down. Only thing I can criticize is hotkeys, you can set a few more control groups for unit and queen control, but overall, you played a very strong game. Good timing, no overcommitment, strong macro, good creep, decent control, nice expansion, good tech, good job.

Okay, ill just jump to the point cuz i RLY wanna rage on your opponent 1. Why get hydras!? 2. Overlord scouting every 6-8 minutes 3. Queens have TOO much energy 4. You need better response (ie. Once you saw colassus, you immediately get spire 5. Reinforce your army 6. The 1st push with the 6-8 speedlings, you NEVER attack anything, instead you gotta use it for scouting -.- 7. DONT SPAM APM YOU HYPOCRITE 8. Worker transfer is needed when your 3rd hatch at the expansion was done 9. YOU ARE LUCKY. PERIOD. kthxbai :3

1. Why get hydras!? Cause Roach/Hydra is really effective vs. protoss. 3. Queens have TOO much energy It's kinda hard for me to keep up with more than 3 queens. 4. You need better response (ie. Once you saw colassus, you immediately get spire I would've, but I didn't have the gas at the time when I spotted them, and I thought my resources would be of better use making units instead of waiting for a spire. 6. The 1st push with the 6-8 speedlings, you NEVER attack anything, instead you gotta use it for scouting -.- That was more of a mistake than anything. xd My fault for thinking he wouldn't have his expo defended. 7. DONT SPAM APM YOU HYPOCRITE Why not? And what makes me a hypocrite? confused 9. YOU ARE LUCKY. PERIOD. Aren't I? :3 But he probably fought me in the first place cause he had a huge loss streak.

Woah, woah, woah now.
Why get Hydras? Because they are a SOLID addition to a zerg army against protoss, they are solid addition to a zerg army always, they are actually the safest transition to go as zerg, furthermore she followed through with it the right way, by spreading the creep across the map. Making up for the Hydra speed weakness by keeping them on creep where they can move at a reasonable speed.
Why get hydras? Because they are decent against:
Immortals, Stalkers, Voidrays, and Phoenixes, also, they can stand behind roaches and clean up zealots, and they can focus fire a Collosus really well.
Queens have too much energy? Try playing as zerg, just ******** try it, build 3-4 queens, and see if you can keep your energy on all 4 queens below 50 over the course of a 20 minute game, and keeping all your hatches full of larvae at all times. Guaranteed you can't do it, very few can, it's something that is REALLY hard to do. If you CAN do it, than you're in the highest ends of diamond league and should be competing on a professional level. I don't think you understand the amount of APM zerg macro needs.
The idea that you NEED air to kill collosus is a very low level concept, there are other options available to you, getting air helps and is the obvious choice, but it depends on what position you are in. She saw a collosus, but her air actually ended up coming out at a perfect time, so a faster spire wouldn't have made a difference.
She wasn't just lucky, she played very good macro, she expanded fairly nicely, she held strong map control, her tech was decent, her creep spread was really good, she can work on her unit control a bit, her hotkeys need a bit more attention and her queens could be spawning larvae a little bit more, but she played with VERY strong fundamentals which at a gold level is the most important thing.

Effergy vs. XcaretZvT Nothing terribly interesting about this match other than that this was my last match as a silver leaguer before being promoted. Only thing I can really remember is that he spammed a ridiculous amount of turrets at his nat.

Great explanation of Zerg and Hydras. In t2, when you can go hydra roach, your toss player is probably stuck in zealot stalker trying to rush collosus. At that point you can put a lot of pressure, because the hydras just tear through stalkers and zealots while roaches tank and if you have the apm to micro your roach burrow, it's a lot of fun. If you end up pushing into his base, or he gets aggressive with 1 or two collosus, you can easily focus fire with enough hydras, but if he gets out 3+, you're going to need to tech up too, that's where the corrupter come in. Corrupters are the most ideal counter for the collosus, because one, they fly and cannot be hit by them, and two, they deal extra damage to "massive" units. Which the collosus just happens to be. The only thing I hate about new hydra, is their food cost, and how slow they are off the creep. When I actually think about it though, the hydra is based off of a sloth creature, which would only make sense for it be slow. /innerthoughts

Effergy vs. StealthZvP I raged so hard after this match. I almost knew exactly what he would do, and I didn't do anything. stressed I was so pissed. Effergy vs. MementoZvT This guy was pretty good. Saw my botched RR, countered real well, and used the ramp to choke off my units.

Effergy vs. ngishotsauceZvT I messed up so many things in this match. No creep spread, not a lot of larvae injection late-game, and my mineral count was super high for most of the match. I really never have a definite army comp when I play vs. terran, so I just make whatever I feel like (banes and lings are a must though). I try taking advantage of the side entrance to the nat, and boy does it work out great. Totally wiped out his mineral line twice. I was so lucky I had that chamber around the time I saw his starport. He could've screwed me up real bad.

Effergy vs. CDCramerZvZ I pull a sneaky two-pronged assault when I see Cramer push out of his base. (Looking back, I dunno why I got a hydra den, but it must have been muta paranoia.)

Effergy vs. SinisterZvT This guy's economy was suck-a**, only running on 16 SCVs the entire game. The first hellion drop would've hurt had I not seen it, but he never really made much of an attempt to hide his medivacs after that.

Effergy vs. KraziestZvT This was kind of a one-sided match. I even got away with a double FE. Kind of thought it was weird to go against such a bronzy silver player when I had won 4 prior matches.

Effergy vs. JDYZvT I can't exactly remember what happened, but he was all up in my base with hellions and then he pulled out like 6 banshees when I crushed them. emo Effergy vs. TheMagnusZvZ I did not handle his roaches very well. Effergy vs. JuddlinZvT Juddlin tries to take advantage of my side entrance, but he never does any real damage.

Effergy vs. PazuzuZvP I do my standard build, and Pazuzu counters with stalker/coli. Which might've worked if he hadn't kept flinging in his units every time he finished a colossi.
