Istas nodded as she listened to *********, "Right. Starseeds are important." She said with a nod as the cat placed her paw on her hand. Istas paused.
"Oh here's your cookie." She said with a smile, as she nodded when told to do her very best, "I'll try hard."
Her normal phone started ringing. "Ohhh no it's mom..."
She paused and answered it. ".... heh Hi mommy..."
On the other end of the phone was a very angry mother who wanted her child home now, she'd be even more angry if she knew Istas missed the bus because of a monster.
Istas looked a little hurt, "I'll be home soon mommy..." She said softly. She looked at ********* when she hung up, "Do you have a place to stay? I might can get mommy to let you stay when you'd like." She smiled softly, "Otherwise I need to hurry home, and hope the next bus doesn't bring another you...ma?" She said softly.

Delicately, the cat bit onto the cookie and dragged it out of the girl's small hand. There was momentary nibbling when the phone rang. It was almost impossible to hold onto food with her mouth and not start nibbling on it. Very thoughtfully, she glanced up when the girl resumed speaking with her.
What was a nice way of saying I am a stray by choice?
Pausing from her nibbles (mmmm, this cookie was quite buttery), the cat sat herself upright and looked at the girl. "Do not worry, Istas. I have my own place, as you have yours." It was certainly a vague response, but it should do the job. With a nod of the head (and a jingle of her bell), the manx caringly mentioned "You head home and you be careful! There aren't any other youma in the area, but that doesn't mean you should stop being careful!"

Istas sighed and nodded, "Alright. If you ever want to stop by though... you're welcome to." She gave a soft nod.
She nodded softly again, "Right. I'll be careful! Bye ********* and thank you." She said to the cat before heading back to the bus stop. Hopefully the next one wouldn't be TOO late.
