Yeah, we all flirt with the tiniest notion
Of self conclusion in one simplified motion

As they entered the kitchen Quinn pulled out a chair for Ace and went around the other side to sit. He folded his hands on the tabletop and waited for Shannon and Fausto.

"Tell me about yourself Ace, that is, if you wouldn't mind," he asked her with a smile, he figured he'd make some small talk until Shannon was ready to explain her reasoning behind Ace.

You see the trick is that you're never supposed to act on it
No matter how unbearable this misery gets

Heaven's not a place that you go when you die
It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive

Shannon smiled and nodded as she led him to the kitchen. She motioned for him to take a seat at the table while she got him a glass of water and a plate of snacks for Ace and Fausto.

Ace sat down nervously. "well uh to tell you the truth you wouldnt really want to know about me and im kinda new to this slave thing." she said. she was being honest most people would have kicked her out if she told them she is an ex assassin.

Quinn smiled knowingly and cocked his head some, grabbing a cookie from the plate Shannon had placed on the table.

"Well no worries Ace, uhm...to tell the truth, I'm not really sure why you were brought here, but I'll let Shannon enlighten me," he said with a chuckle and leaned back, raising his brows at Shannon.

Shannon made sure Fausto was satisfied before she sat next to him. She glared at Quinn and folded her arms over her chest.

"I could ask the same of you Quinn, but, honestly, I've been at my wits ends with holding these stupid and pointless casting calls for women to pretend to be the authors of your books so I folded and took things into my own hands. I'm hoping Ace could help us with that issue. I'm sorry, but I can only take so many mindless models and 'actresses' who only want to get to know 'Quinn'" Shannon admitted and ducked her head with a slight blush, "sorry..." she mumbled and then looked up, waiting for questions from either Fausto or Ace.

Ace looked back and forth between the two. "um sure ok i'll help... but with what exactly?" she asked a little confised. 'if hes the author of his books why doesnt he just stop acting like he isnt?' she thought

Quinn raised a brow, Shannon's argument made sense and he chuckled.

"That makes sense, and to clarify, I suppose I'll have to confess, my profession and main money making career is that of being an author. What Shannon is referring to is the fact that I uhm, besides poetry volumes, also write Romance novels but under the name of a female. So when bookstores hold book signings for my Romance novels Shannon finds a model or actress to play the part. And, as for Fausto coming here, Shannon could use company in her house, I'm not comfortable with her being alone every night," he added as his own explanation before Shannon could ask.

Shannon reddened at his reasoning. She looked over at Fausto and offered him a smile.

"Well it seems this day is one big, confused mess," she joked lightly, and lamely. She looked between Ace and Fausto.

"Do you guys need clothes? We could go shopping if you'd both like?" she inquired and pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose.

Ace shook her head. "nah i have some back at my place i kinda need to go there anyway.. if you don't mind that is." she told them. she had to let the rest of the deck of cards know she waas ok..and that the group was finished.

Fausto awkwardly sat down near Shannon, starting to drink some water and nibble at the snacks Shannon had laid out. He wasn't in much of a mood to talk, but he was definitely enjoying the talk between Quinn and Shannon. They could be a married couple with the way they were acting. As Quinn gave his reason for having Fausto stay with Shannon, he reddened as well, but not as much as Shannon had. He gave a weak smile as well, but quickly looked down at continued to sip his water silently. When Shannon asked about shopping, he found that it would be the perfect opportunity to escape, so he nodded as well, devising the perfect time for him to escape. "Shopping isn't a bad idea," he mumbled before eating a cookie from the plate.
