Amaidi just smiled sweetly towards her mates adopted mother. Inwardly however inner Amaidi was having a field day. 'Friend... friend... she calls me a friend. He's the one that proposed' she thought growling inside her head. "mmmm yes, bonding time is always good" Amaidi said with a smile.

Mercury stood up, shaking out his fur. "Let's walk a bit as we talk? Nothing like keeping the paws moving to help keep conversation flowing!" He gave a playful nudge to Runaiu, then Amaidi, and jumped forward in a prancing motion.

Runaiu nodded, padding up beside her son, however moved to the side so Amaidi could be beside her mate. The female had little on her mind other than this new member of the family. Runaiu's eyes flicked to scan Amaidi once more before mentally sighing. How did it come to this? Mercury used to be such an innocent kit, she still was fond of the idea of pretending Mercury was a kit.
Though now he was an adult.
Runaiu had to accept this fact. She had to accept Amaidi even though that meant accepting Mercury was ready to become an adult. Sheesh, life was to fast paced for her.

"yes a walk does sound good" Amaidi stated and started slowly looking around at where they where going. Since mercury was leading she wanted to make sure she knew how to backtrack in case it was at all necessary. Mercury after all was bad with directions. It was while doing this she noticed Runaiu move to the side, most likely to let her walk next to mercury. "You can stay there you know, I see him all the time. You haven't for a while" she smiled.

Mercury stopped, looking around. He wasn't looking at the females so much as the surroundings. His face went into a classical "Oops, umm" expression, and he turned to Amaidi. "Maybe you'd better lead. I don't think I know where Omaticaya is." He chuckled bashfully, ducking his head.

Runaiu blinked as Amaidi spoke, nodding. She took a second to return the smile, her own cautious and wary. She was grateful though, tail flipping side to side as she slipped closer to her son. "Thank you." She said with sincerity, this time smiling fondly at the fox. Amaidi had earned a point for her. The blue/grey vixen heard her son speak, rolling her eyes.
"You really have no sense of direction."

Mercury shrugged. "I never needed one. You always knew where we were going, and then I was just wandering with no real purpose." He ducked his head again, looking over at Amaidi. "I'm getting better though, aren't I?" Sure he routinely got them lost, but not quite as often as before.

Amaidi giggled a bit at this. "only about 2% better. instead of getting us lost at least six times before we get to the destination its gone down to four. Alright I'll lead the way" she laughed stepping in front of everyone.

Mercury chuckled. "Sounds like I'm doing better than 2%. Nonetheless, I admit getting lost is still more likely to happen." He turned to look at Runiau. "I think I'm getting much better cause we live near some moors. Gotta watch where you step out there, especially in the fog!"

"Fog is nothing." She responded with, flashes of memory rushing through her. Tenshi, she had met her in a foggy forest. Her ears lowered slightly as she thought of the other, shaking her head. She didn't need to worry about Tenshi anymore, not for now at least. Mercury was going to be his mates family, and everyone knew that a girls father was the hardest to impress.

"yep once you know the trick to fog its rather easy to go through" Amaidi smiled and then went back to navigating the small little group to omaticaya. She was still a little worried and knew quite well that having Mercury meet Riku was not going to be as easy as her meeting runaiu. She already knew exactly how the meeting was going to take place. Hence why she just wanted to run off an elope. Maybe come back with kits and tell her father after he fainted.

Mercury's body language was very relaxed considering their destination. He figured there'd be plenty of other days to worry, so why start now. "Maybe it's a girl thing, navigating through fog," he mused, forgetting these two particular girls thought nothing of giving him a cuff or swat if they thought he deserved it.
((Man, you just gotta feel sorry for a majority of the dad's around here XD Riku, Yuki, eventually Mercury. I'm sure there are more.))

"Yes, which would explain why Mercury is bad at directions. Maybe we should just change his gender." Runaiu teased, ears flicking at her son. She whipped up a flower from the grass, slipping it behind Mercury's ear. "A rather stunning female." She remarked before brushing up beside Amaidi gently, chuckling lightly and nudging her daughter-in-law.
Maybe the grey and red vixen wasn't so bad?

"Maybe, but It would be weird to have mercury as a girl. I think he's just fine as a boy" Amaidi pointed out giving Mercury a look over. "besides then he would be swamped with so many butterflies I would be a mate to a massive huge butterfly." 'although it would fit with his damsel in distress image' she thought. It was best to not tell parents about some of the dangerous times their child had gone through.

Mercury put on his best suffering face and pouted. "It seems to be my lot in life that I am unable to be manly. Perhaps I should make more friends among my own gender, and leave you two to plot and conspire like the wicked vixens you are." Knowing his momma and his mate, Mercury kept his body ready to dodge a blow. Fake or real, it would probably sting. He just hoped he had the stamina to avoid both of them. Close-range dodging seemed to be his only talent.
