There it stood: the fine building of TRHQ against the crack of dawn on the darker side. As they neared, Sorano felt he and Lili were nothing more than prisoners returning to home after a day of courtyard play. Why'd they have to be shackled by this one association bent on causing others harm? His immediate thought than and there was to just turn her around and drag her way; even if she wanted to or not.

However, realization caught up with that thought. The truth, if you may. He, under his ultimate chagrin, really did not have much in common with Lili. Was there room to learn? Of course, but shouldn't a foundation of something be built when it comes to an everlasting relationship? Well, there was step one: they both were part of the same evil syndicate. Otherwise, he thought long and hard as they neared even close to the almighty black monolith of doom.

Nothing. Nothing came to mind. Just as they were about a simple exhalation of stepping through the door, he figured his thought thoroughly.

You don't need a reason to love someone.

And then they were home - if you could call it a home. It was certainly the only home that they could go to... It was not like they would be welcome anywhere else if the people of Kodo knew who they were and what they did. It was awful, being tied to the syndicate like they were. Lilith could never be free of Team Rocket's grasp - she could never be normal like the carefree girls she saw tonight. [As if she would be normal in the first place.] All that being part of Team Rocket did for her was help her inch her way towards her overall goal, a goal that she was not even sure she wanted to pursue now.

A thought came to Lilith's mind. Should she tell Sorano about her mission? Should she tell him about her past and what unruly decisions she made to choose to become a pawn of Team Rocket? Should she...?

No. No, she decided. Not yet. They still had so far to go together, and there was much for her to learn about Sorano, and much she still needed to learn about herself. In time, she might be ready, but for now, she would remain silent and revel in the fact that she was no longer alone in the world. Even in the crime world of Team Rocket, she was not alone.

They entered the ominous building of the HQ and parted ways. Lilith walked slowly back to her room, feeling very warm inside, and much more reassured.

You will never be alone when you love someone.
