There was difficult; Nadja's desk was against the wall right next to the door, she was seated at it sideways, and Nyx was facing her. Seth would find his way blocked by a wheelchair and a long pair of outstretched legs before he got more than two feet over the threshold.
The elite cleared her throat quietly. "Is anyone dead, bleeding, on fire, or in danger of being discovered by the police?"

There was a pause as Seth considered her question.
"Maybe." He replied in deadpan.

Nyx sat there awkwardly in her cripple-chair. Nadja would have to dismiss her before she even started trying to maneuver her way out, and even after that, Seth would have to get out of the way.

Nadja smirked wryly - and a bit knowingly - at the other elite.
"Five minutes."

Okay so maybe there wasn't any immediate danger or emergency, but that should have been fairly obvious. Still, the look she gave him was a good sign, thus he relented to her request. But not without a grunt.
"Fine." He replied, before stepping out and closing the door behind him.

Nyx looked back to Nadja, since Seth had left the room. She wasn't sure if the Elite was standing outside the door listening, not that Nyx knew whether Seth was the type of person to do something like that.

Nadja looked back to Nyx.
"We are entitled to our personal lives. Unless they affect our work, they are nobody's concern," she explained. A boundary was being drawn, calmly but firmly. "If they do, the usual solution is a reassignment or two."
'And yes, I'm well aware of the irony of what just happened,' her expression said.

"Yes ma'am." Nyx wanted to stand up and shout 'why Seth'. Of all people she would have expected for her superior, he was the last person. And the way he just demanded her attention; Shameful. Nyx was glad she had no desire or need for a relationship. "I understand, and my knowledge will in no way effect my work or our professional relationship."
If Nadja and Nyx were friends, and not simply superior and underling, she would be singing a different tune. Unfortunately, her role as 'pet-minion' did not allow for such things.

Nyx might find some comfort in the adage that love was a temporary insanity.. or be horrified by the idea that love could enter into it. But Nadja's gaze for Seth wasn't fond. Just smug. And she didn't always look at his face.
"Then I'm glad we had this talk." The redheaded elite smiled a professional smile, shaded with a hint of personal regard, and added, "And that you felt able to bring me your concerns in the first place."

"Thank you for the time, Miss Nadja." A slight smile crossed her face as she switched the brakes off of her wheel chair and tried to maneuver herself out from behind the desk; She managed to turn herself towards the door, only after banging the foot of her bad-leg on Nadja's desk. A hiss of pain followed.
The closed door also posed a problem.

The door then was pushed open by an apparently unseen force. Although as soon as Nyx went out the door, she would see that the force was actually very easily visible.
Seth was leaning against the wall next to the door, arms crossed. Yes, he had been listening.
"Keep wagging your tail, Agent." Seth commented as he waited for Nyx to leave.

"Sir." Nyx nodded respectfully as she wheeled past and away. She was obligated to professional respectfulness, but not to respond in any way to his tail comment. Though she made a note of it; He was the new guy a teenager's mother had started dating, and she was not happy about it. Normally Seth would not get to her, as once evidenced by her advice to Allen, but jealousy tended to bring out the worst in people.
Love made people weirdos.

A slightly annoyed look crossed Nadja's face, and she shifted to a straighter position in her chair as Nyx wheeled out. "I've said it before, Seth. You can antagonize your own staff."

Seth bristled slightly at Nadja's words. He turned to lean against the doorway instead and frowned.
"When they're on the job, fine. But this doesn't count. I think you're more attached than you realize."

"When they're on this floor, they're on the job," Nadja countered, crossing her legs and migrating a hand to her hip.
After a pause to let the statement hang in the air and give him time to respond she rose, brushing past Seth to rest her fingers on the door handle. "You're rather concerned about me getting attached." The glance she gave him asked if she needed to pull it to. The half-smirk said something else.
