"Dear Arceus..." William muttered under his breath as he saw the zombie horde. "What... is this?" "Zombies." He looked down at the Rhyhorn beside him, who looked back. "Dead people." Puer shuddered slightly. "Be careful. The last time they came around, their attacks could infect you." Laura's stare turned incredulous and she swung her head to Puer. "You... You're kidding!?" They could INFECT people!? There was no way in hell she was getting down there!

Of course, Puer charged into the crowd and crashed through a bunch of them. He's a Rhyhorn, after all; he can flip a trailer with ease. Taking out some... charmander or whatever the hell is in that crowd is trivial for him. Laura shifted closer to her now-protector, though William quickly departed in another direction. He came to stop near the peculiar Umbreon, his face angled downwards at her young charge. "Excuse me, miss..." He shook his whole body, causing the bell on his neck to ring with a pleasant tone. Laura padded along quickly, unwilling to separate herself from her only protector. Oh great, there's a kid here who won't shut up.

She wasn't really fond of kids. They were too simple, too fussy. Of course, she knew how to calm them down. They were simple, after all. She placed her front paws around the back of Ivy's neck, pulling her close. She began to quietly hum a tune, her voice picking up to a quiet song.

...on this silver moonlight night,
The misty plains of a land far gone welcome only the strong,
It was a place of quiet songs and birds of flight,
Where all things were right; and never wrong,
In that quiet place where all were embraced by night...

Oliver looked at the Lopunny, saw how he defended their enemy. He moved to deal with it but saw that the Smeargle had the situation under control.

Well then.

The Poliwhirl circled around the Gallade and those in melee combat against it, looking for a weakness in his enemy's defenses. Finding one, Oliver threw one knife at point-blank range, lunged forward, stabbed with the other one, and planted an Ice Ball against Kage's skin with his free hand before drawing a third knife to replace the one he probably wouldn't be able to fetch for now. Then he stepped backward a good five feet to avoid the inevitable counterattack.

Imiti, meanwhile, had found a perch at the ceiling of the Main Hall. Two more Fire Blasts came down on the horde, incinerating quite a few of the monsters. Hopefully the creatures would be too stupid to notice him.



The Charmander stayed under his cover, firing off an Ember every now and then. He ducked as a Gunk Shot passed over his head, and quickly decided that he'd need a better spot. He looked up at an Abra at the top of the Main Hall.

(-2 crawlers and -5 zombies (-2 and -4 Fire Blast, 0 and -1 Ember), -4 Kage (2 knife attacks and a critical Ice Ball)

"Well, that worked," Ethfael muttered as another swarm of zombies arrived, joined by crawlers which came from the Weavile, essentially making most of the work done by the Guild up to this point entirely pointless. Clearly they would simply have to go straight to the source of the problem; the Weavile and the Gallade who seemed more of a threat than the other zombies. "Era," he said to the Pichu who was watching the oncoming hoarde come forward. "Go for those two up there, we'll never get anywhere this way." Era nodded, and dashed forward through the zombies, but Ethfael found himself blocked by a zombie Rapidash. "Great," he muttered, and attacked the Rapidash with Aqua Tail, before it could cause trouble, and then gave up, sending a wave of Icy Wind at the zombies in his way.
Era dashed through the zombies without so much as a glance at the various claws that attempted to slash her. One of the advantages of being as tiny as she was, was that she could easily get through crowded places, even if they were crowded with Pokemon trying to kill you. She stopped before she got all the way to the Gallade, considering whether she should wait until the others had gotten out of range. "Oh, what the heck," she muttered, and sent a few Thundershocks towards the fighting Gallade, hoping that it wouldn't hit her fellow Guild members.

"No!" Cecil yelled as the Lopunny got past his defences and ran up to the zombie-Gallade, wrapping him in a hug. While he could barely hear Jack's words through the din of battle, he could feel the emotion behind the Lopunny's actions. Dear Arceus...Kage must have been someone the Lopunny knew.

Cecil remembered being in a remote village when Algenders hit, and the pain that it brought everyone. This seemed similar to that, although these infected did not have the characteristic bleeding eyes of Algenders.

"Stop! It's not him!" Cecil leaped forward, letting go of his tail to grab Jack around the waist in an attempt to pull him off. When someone shot electricity at Kage, this inevitably coursed through the Gallade and the Lopunny to reach Cecil. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he continued his attempt to pull Jack away before the Gallade killed the both of them.

Acer was starting to get overwhelmed by the battle, and he followed Zora's trail of destruction, finishing off anything that she didn't fully kill. Gods that Umbreon was terrifying...

Speaking of terrifying Umbreon, Zora was currently nomming the head off a Lucario, fire leaking out of her mouth as it flailed and died.

Spade Endured a blast of water from a Wartortle, and then stepped forward, slamming it in the guts with his fist. The Wartortle stumbled back, and then moved right back in, spinning around to smack the Buneary against the wall.

And against the wall Spade did go. Hard.

The world spinning all about him, the Buneary was losing consciousness. In a last burst of strength, he jumped out of the way, over and above the wartortle as it moved to finish him off, only to...oh hey the floor was coming up pretty fast-

Darkness.
