MacideusNo one ever calls him Micky D's to his face. Macideus sighed at Saya as they arrived at the dorms. She seemed confident in herself but her naivete was blatantly obvious."Miss Tennyson, what plan and what takes place aren't ever exactly similar. I thought that much would be obvious after today's, and every other days, exploits. Besides it's not Faeries or Vampires you should worry about. Human's are the ones you need to defend yourself against. No matter where you go no matter where you hide humans will be looking for you for whatever reasons. In the city there will always be humans seeking to harm you to take what is rightfully yours, and I don't just mean material possessions, they will steal even people you care about, in fact, because you come from a well off family if they ever found that out they would do everything in their power to get a piece of that wealth and as a result you could wind up quite dead. That is just the city, if you think you won't encounter humans in the forest you got another thing coming. There are humans who will go out of their way to prove the old legends to be truth, they will hunt you down relentlessly and cage you like an animal. Then they will put you on display in chains like some kind of toy in a toy store for people to oogle over. Furthermore you don't have complete control over your powers, I know you have only the best intentions but your inability to control your powers will kill someone some day, that is not something you want on your conscious."Macideus asked a nearby student to get the door for him since Saya currently occupied his arms. When she said that all they did was succeed in helping her mother in getting rid of her and sighed in exasperation. The endless excuses were beginning to were on him, although the now very sore cheek didn't help."Miss Tennyson, you should not make the mistake of assuming your the only one in this entire school's history to have gone through what you are going through now."The friendly joking tone was all but gone from his voice, the only remnants that remained of the failing attempts of sarcasm were there only to help him keep some level of composure but the seriousness of the statement along with the slightest hint of anger came through anyways. Mentally shaking off his own past he responded to her question with another attempt at a joke that would probably upset her but the fact that there was no way Tackeron would be living with her was pretty much obvious."Well you really no longer have a choice in the matter. Whether it is by me or someone I recommend or even someone I don't you will be receiving a mentor. Now as for living together, I am sure I could put in the good word for you if you would like live with him but ultimately it is up to the headmistress and Tackeron, and I am pretty sure he wouldn't mind in the slightest."Macideus allowed himself a little chuckle at the idea before continuing."But in all seriousness you are correct it would be improper and were it up to me it wouldn't even be a question, you would get one room and he would get one room right next to yours, no if, ands, or buts about it. However that is the rule of human society, and you are quite the handful, on top of that it is not up to me. The headmistress might deem it necessary for you two to share a room and probably put up a temporary wall between your two halves for obvious reasons, so no one but the headmistress will know for now."The pair had already ascended the stairs and were now at Saya's room."I presume you now have enough strength to go back into your room all on your own. If you need me I will bee reading just outside the Dorms. In front of your balcony so just give me a shout. In all honesty I enjoyed our little game of cat and mouse so I will be watching out for you in the future. Now let's see if you can stand."Macideus quickly upended her and set her on her feet but didn't let go until he was sure she could actually stand. If she couldn't then he would bring her into her room and set her on her bed, if she could then he would bid farewell and make his way outside, with a brief stop tat his dorm, to his mentioned post to do a little bit of reading.

Harmony___Saya___Tennyson____[[ Name's Saya. And don't you dare call me Minnie. ]] "Then why don't you just seal it all away?" There had been some silence after Macideus' short lecture, but Saya raised a valid point after taking a moment to consider his heavy words. "My magic, I mean. If I am to become such a dangerous person, than doesn't it make sense to close off the part of me that thrives on the very thing that may harm others without proper control? With that precaution, I would not have to remain here, my conscious may stay clean, and so could yours."
It sounded like a decent suggestion, in theory at least. But Saya failed to realize that what she proposed was a difficult spell at best. Once completed successfully, it was also a bigger challenge to undo. Then there was one little detail that made her case unique. Saya had elemental blood, an ancient heritage stretching back before vampires, lycans, faeries, and even most nymphs (which were rumored to be somehow related to the proud elemental races). While she could not effectively wield her magic, it was certainly powerful. The sheer magnitude of the magic contained in her mostly human body made a sealing process near suicidal, and not to the caster. Without being consciously aware of it, Saya released waves of magic nearly every day, a release of the excess power that could otherwise tear her body to pieces. To seal all that in with no possible relief from the strain would destroy her physical body, and before that it risked driving her mad. It was a grim reality for the majority of half-elementals. Though who received training from their parental figure were lucky, able to come to this Academy by choice. But in Saya's case Macideus was entirely correct. To leave her would risk her own safety and the safety of those close to her, and even the occasional innocent bystander. It was an obstacle she could only surpass through the proper lessons and sound learning. Unfortunately, this did not change the circumstances that made her crave freedom so violently.
The next thing Macideus said struck a nerve. "I never said that." Saya snapped. She did not want to be treated like some ignorant child. "But tell me, professor. How does knowing I am not the only one make the fact that I am needed at home any less pressing a matter?" He had been harsh with her and she threw it right back in his face. "For a telepath, you do not seem know what others are thinking in the least. So don't go jumping to conclusions and making assumptions of your own. You are no better of what you accuse me of being: an ignorant fool who discounts another's circumstance." Teacher or not, Macideus was not perfect, and Saya would not let him forget that for a moment. Nor would she stand being unjustly judged.
Saya was placed on her own two feet once again. Her health had returned to her, the effects of the blow Macideus delivered wearing off as he carried her to the dorm. She said nothing to him, not about the mentor issue or his plans, and merely walked back into her temporary home and slammed the door shut behind her. It had been a disappointing day and she had been foiled yet again, then lectured. This Academy was becoming more and more infuriating, not to mention she was beginning to feel lonesome, the effects of keeping herself separate from this school and those who attended it settling in. It wasn't as if Saya was unfriendly, but she was hesitant to create any close bonds, knowing the sole goal in her mind was to get out of here as soon as possible. That turning into a departure from a new friend would only make it more difficult. It was an unnecessary burden to add on. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where's your gavel? MacideusNo one ever calls him Micky D's to his face. Macideus had gotten an earful from Saya, and while she may have had a point that he didn't know everything about her she made it sound like he delved into peoples heads on a regular basis which wasn't true. He felt that everyone deserved some privacy, even when he was reading her mind he had only looked for attacks and ignored every other thought to provide her with that right. This of course was not the first time she had mentioned being need at home but to his recolection she had never said why, and while he was tempted to dig and find out he stuck by his morals. It was simply wrong to probe other peoples minds unless it was for critical situations, tests, fights exetera. However Saya had slammed the door in his face before he could retort with this. So he heaved a sigh, she really was a handful. Still what else could he expect, he hadn't thought too diferently when he was a student here. He however wasn't in the exact same situation, he did not have someone at home that needed him, heck he didn't have anyone that had wanted him when his powers were discovered. If anything Saya was lucky. He heaved another sigh and made his way back downstairs stopping at his dorm to grab a book and then headed outside to make sure Saya didn't make a second attempt.

TackeronMy friends call me Tack. Tackeron decided it was time to go as he saw Macideus sitting outside of Osamu Hall. he went over to his pile of clothing and shifted while getting dressed."Well it's been swell but swelling's gone. I will see you later Leon."Tackeron said as he made his way over to Macideus who looked pretty disgruntled."So mister D, what is the verdict?"He asked his teacher almost too pleasently. Macideus looked up from his book to see a very happy McCallen."Ah, Mister McCallen. Well I haven't heard back from th Headmistress just yet but I have a good feeling that you will be chosen. Other then that I can tell you with all honesty that Miss Tennyson is less then enthused.""Well that much was obviouse. I mean if i wanted to bail just about every single day I would be less then enthused to here that I had me asssigned to be my mentor. Cause I gotta tell ya, I am a nice guy and all but personally I think that I can be a bit annoying at times even to myself."Tackeron was being silly as was practically his trademark for the weekends."As always I have no idea what you are talking about Mister McCallen.""Well actually I was wondering if I could talk to her?""I doubt it will help your case any.""What's the worst that can happen?"Macideus sighed and pondered the thought for a bit. He eventually decided to let tackeron at least try and talk to her."If you can get her to talk to you then go for it.""Awsome. Hey Saya!""The boy yelled at the top of his lungs in order to Get Saya's attention."

Harmony___Saya___Tennyson____[[ Name's Saya. And don't you dare call me Minnie. ]] Saya was fully aware that she had given her professor absolutely no opportunity to respond. It had been a purposeful act and she was glad to be rid of him. The man got on her last nerve sometimes and to escape his lectures was a blessing in itself as far as she was concerned. Once inside her dorm again, she wasn't sure what to do with herself. There was nothing to do with the anger and irritation she then felt, nothing but to either play some good 'ole fashioned music to distract herself or to suppress it. Suppression was foolish; it only meant she would be angrier later if set off. Macideus was outside, leaving out any opportunity to even wander around the campus. But. . .well that could be a way to express that pent up rage. Saya started rummaging through her dorm, trying to find something in particular. In a cabinet under the sink in the small but useful kitchen she found exactly what she was looking for: a metal bucket. It was there for cleaning purposes, the students expected to keep their dorms tidy without the aide of maids. Saya started to fill the bucket with water, letting it fill up a little over the half way point so she could carry it without trouble. And then Saya headed to the balcony, the bucket's handle clutched in both her hands.
The girl calmly set the bucket on the balcony railing, peering down in an attempt to locate Macideus. She slid the bucket over so it could be poured directly over him. What she intended to do was childish, but telling her that would make little difference. Saya was surprised to find that her professor had some company, in the form of Tackeron. Remembering the information he revealed about his recommendation, Saya frowned, only that much more sure that she was fine going down the childish route. A sudden yell made her panic however, knocking over the bucket before intended, so water and metal pail alike went hurling toward the ground and those who unknowingly stood by the balcony. The only warning besides the sight Tackeron would be witnessing was Saya's surprised cry. Well, she certainly couldn't change her mind now. All that was left was to see if Macideus could dodge water. . .and a bucket.
With an exasperated sigh, Saya left her elbows and lower arms to rest on the balcony's railing as she leaned forward, appearing even more uninterested than Leon had a good ten minutes ago. She lifted one arm slightly, leaving her chin supported by this hand and only her elbow on the rail. At first it didn't appear as if she was going to say anything, her gaze on Tackeron but this being on the only sign that she was acknowledging his presence, "Well? What is it?" Saya finally asked. Miraculously, she was willing to hear whatever the young man had to say. This could be attributed to her all-consuming curiosity. She knew little about Tackeron and he might very well end up living in that empty extra room inside. Seeing what he was like couldn't hurt.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where's your gavel? TackeronMy friends call me Tack. While unable to avoide the Water Macideus swatted away the bucket with a great deal of agitation. The threat of which was lost when laughter howled out of Tackeron. He couldn't resist it, it was just like out of a cartoon, except the bucket didn't hit his head."Ohhhohahahaaa. That was golden, I wish I had a picture of that.""Mister McCallen, what is it exactly that you came for?""I was just gonna ask Saya out. Nah just kidding but I would like to chill get to know her. Since I am trying to be her mentor and all it is best that I at least take the time to figure out what i am up against. Sorta like sizing up your enemy."Macideus considered this and then flatly rejected it. One might wonder if that pause was just for effect or if he had actually considered Tackeron's proposal."No, Saya is grounded. Every time she get's a day to herself she tries to run away we can't take that chance anymore.""I promis she won't get away from me, and it's not like I can go up there. Who knows what we might do?"Cut the sarcasm Mister McCallen. You understand that if she gets away from you you will take on her punishment. Which includes one hundred fifty-six lines and two weeks double detention, with me."Tackeron visably flinched at the punishments. It was heavy stuff and it almost seemed like he was reconsidering then he in his typical no worries fashion gave a typical tackeron response."It's all good, I can handle it. A cake walk, as some would say.""You don' even have a plan do you?"Tackeron shook his head as though it was the most obvious thing in the world. Macideus sighed and gave Saya permission to leave her room provided she stay with Tackeron. He then left to go find Erin March to fix the little barrier issue. Despite his concerns Macideus trusted Tackeron, cuase in spite of his loose cannon-like behaviour he had come through on everything he has ever said. Tackeron waited until Macideus was well gone before speaking again."So you coming down or what? Micky D's said it was ok. i am sure there is tons to find out about each other." ((Still aiming for Macideus as mentor, throwing in Tackeron as an option is just for a little variety but ultimately I leave the call to you.))

Harmony___Saya___Tennyson____[[ Name's Saya. And don't you dare call me Minnie. ]] The bucket had been a tremendously good idea. All attempts to remain cool and serious were immediately marked as failed, Saya covering her mouth to muffle the sound of her laughter. It was a small revenge for all the punishment Macideus was prepared to unleash upon her. The girl couldn't keep it hidden anymore and was a ball of giggles the second her hands left her mouth, her arms grabbing onto her stomach and sides instead. Whatever he says or does after that will be well worth it. The irritated look on the man's face was perfect, exactly what she was hoping for in the event that the water did indeed drench him and his precious book. The laughter died away more at the sound of the words "Saya is grounded" than as an effect of the prank losing its amusing quality. Grounded?! The man acts as if he is my mother. Saya thought, shooting a glare down at the top of the professor's head, wishing her eyes could shoot literal daggers.
The young lady continued listening to the conversation between the two men, noting that Tackeron was rather confident of his abilities to keep her in line. Her eyes narrowed at the bad joke he made, making a silent vow to never allow him near her bed chamber. Ever. If he earned the title as her mentor than he could sleep out in the hallway. Saya nodded once to herself, strengthening her resolve in regards to this. Even with the threat of a heavy punishment if he failed, Tackeron still appeared to vastly underestimate Saya's stubborn will and accept it only as a remote possibility that he should have to share in her detention and writing (which she truly felt she had no intention of doing). The idea that she could kill some time by trying to prove him wrong passed through her mind at least once. If he was half as good as he believed, it would be a challenge if nothing else, a good way to test her skills and improve them. Macideus was not an adequate opponent. For starters, he beat her with ease. Facing off against someone stronger than yourself had its advantages, but only to a point. It was hard to improve if a knee ended up in your gut in a seemingly unavoidable outcome. She was also keenly aware of the fact that she had only lasted so long because the professor had allowed her to, even stepping aside to let her pass in the very beginning. This left her bitter and in want of an opportunity to prove herself.
So leaving her dorm could prove to be advantageous to Saya, but she wasn't sure how excited she was to be spending her time with Tackeron. True, she did not know him, not really. Sizing up her enemy would be as much a goal of hers as his, but there was a chance that she would discover one of two things about him: 1) that she detested his company, which would make him becoming her mentor just as unpleasant as it would be if it happened to be Macideus, or 2) that she found his company bearable or even desirable, which would make it that much more difficult to risk his head every time she experienced a failed escape attempt. It felt like a catch-22 to her, with no good outcome. But she didn't have a lot of time to debate her decision. It was either rot in the dorm or stretch her legs and explore the campus. The latter of the two choices at least provided immediate gratification, so she would just have to hope for the best when it came to future consequences.
'Fine." Saya decided, placing both hands firmly on the balcony railing before swinging her legs over it, falling toward the ground in the same way she had that morning, with the wind coming to her aide and cushioning the fall to protect her legs from a harsh impact. When she unnaturally slowed during the descent before hitting the ground, her skirts fell back into place as well, having revealed only her legs after she jumped. Brushing stray hair out of her face, Saya looked up at Tackeron, examining him curiously. The other students had been pretty quick in deciding whether or not they liked her or feared her, seeing her as a free spirit or a dangerous delinquent (despite the fact she had never really hurt anyone). This young man seemed to be neutral, taking neither of the two sides their classmates already had.
"I have a proposal for you." Saya then said, her smile appearing innocent enough, save for the hint of mischief it held. "You see, I'm very inexperienced in battle. Its a frustrating disadvantage, as you might imagine." The idea was hatched as she made her descent, presenting the idea as it were the most normal thing in the world for a girl to ask. "A quick sparring match would really let me stretch me legs, too. And you get a chance to see whatever I have hidden up my sleeves. Its a win-win." The girl had one other bit to add on to the idea. "And we can make it interesting, just for fun. You win and I'll answer three questions with complete honesty. I win, and I get to ask for a single favor." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where's your gavel? TackeronMy friends call me Tack. Tackeron made a pose to make it look like he was thinking it over very deeply. He had actually already made up his mind though and was all for the idea the moment it was mentioned, but dramatic effect would be needed to lighten the mood. Saya always seemed to seriouse about everything to him."Well let me think...it's a daring idea very risky. I mean so much to gain and yet so much to lose on a fight in which we do not truely have any idea as to who is more skilled. I like it, let's do this."He held out his hand to shake on the agreement with a huge smile on his face that showed he had all confidence that he could win but more in the friendly 'let's find out for sure.' way rather then the super arrogant 'why are you even bothering to try?' way. Fire was already engulfing his free hand as if expecting a sneak attack. Tackeron wasn't sure how honourable Saya was but he was aware of how desperate she was, and already had an idea as to what that favour might be."I guess I should come up wtih some questions to ask you while I am at it. Maybe your food of preference, or perhapes a little bit about your history. Yeah alright if I win, you gotta tell me the following and no holding back, a half truth is worse then a full lie. First question: tell me your fave food, Second question: what are your grades in our elemental magic class, Final question: Why are you so desperate to get home, I mean the whole answer too not just cause I hate it here or stupidness like that. I mean the real reasons."In truth he really only wanted the last answer but he wasn't about to let the chace to learn even more just pass by without a second thought. Who knows that information might come in handy some day as well. After all if it came down to it he may resort to bribing her to behave herself every once in a while."Luck favours the prepaired"He thought to himself as he tensed for the fight.

Harmony___Saya___Tennyson____[[ Name's Saya. And don't you dare call me Minnie. ]] Good. Tackeron wasn't too hard to figure out. This was a good sign, as much of one as his easy acceptance of the deal. Despite hesitation, his words betrayed the quick decidion he had made. Saya man no mention of this, shaking his head and taking note of the fire engulfing the other one. Wind and fire were a difficult match. She may have had a slight advantage, but Tackeron's experience probably canceled all of that out and gave him back the upper hand, for all extensive purposes. Those guts and pure stubborn will the girl had on her side would have to be wielded to the extreme if she had any hope of winning. While unsure of her abilities to control the magic that coursed through her veins, she was creative, imaginative, and a quick learning. These would have to aide her in some way, though they weren't the easiest skills to call on on a whim. her utter defeat at the hands of Macideus was proof enough of that. Tackeron may have claimed they had no idea who was more skilled, but without fear of modesty Saya suspected with a hurt pride that it was not her, regardless. However, a sloppy win would still count as a win. Keeping this in mind, the girl released his hand and listened with a keen interest in what questions he had in store for her.
The last was to be expected, but it still left her displeased. That was not information she liked to share. In fact, she hadn't shared it with one person since her arrival roughly three months ago. That was more than ninety days of tight sealed lips. To give up crucial details like that so easily seemed to be a crime, but it served to rev up her fighting spirit. "Fair enough. I said any questions, and I already committed to full honesty." Saya was not the type to break her word, so Tackeron could feel free to be confident that he would get the answers he wanted, and that he deserved if he won. The girl smiled then, the hint of mischief blooming into a full-blown, childlike expression inspired all by a mischievous nature. "This is going to be fun." The girl glanced up at the dorm structure. "But we shouldn't fight here." With a wave of her hand, she turned her back to Tackeron first, proving once and for all that her honor stretched far enough to prevent sneak attacks. She walked further out into the open field that decorated the campus, making no move to run, to save her fellow classmate from alarm. There was a fight to look forward to, and she would be the coward who runs for it.
"Ready?" Saya called back to him, waiting impatiently for him to follow her somewhat, putting distance between their sparring match and any nearby buildings. "I claim a handicap with my fans. Of course you are free to use a weapon as well, but if not I will use them purely as way to wield my magic. I swear." There was an unnatural shift in the atmosphere around them, the breeze reversing on itself and then making a nice circle around the "battlefield." It was like the air was responding to Saya's anticipation on its own, listening to the thoughts and heart beat of a girl who commanded without effort. The fans at her side seemed to become restless as well, sensing this change. They were a way to extend her magic by a more controllable means, rather than just a weapon in and of itself. The girl reached for both of them, allowing one to open with a quick snap of her wrist and quickly lifting it higher into the air, her arm sweeping out in one flawless motion. It was seemingly innocent gesture. But Tackeron received one good clue before the invisible attack reached him, and that was the shift in the grass as it blew in his direction gradually. A wave of air sharp as the edge of a blade was silently making its way toward him, and fast. Well, it was not entirely silent. There was a soft roar of wind, as when one waves their sword too quickly in the air and it protests with resistance. But if he failed to move, he may very well lose a limb. Saya did not have the skill to put restraints on the attack yet for friendly sparring purpose, after all.
And the battle had begun. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where's your gavel? Your jury? // What's my offense this time? // You're not a judge but if you're gonna judge me Well, sentence me toanother life

TackeronMy friends call me Tack. Tackeron's confidence in himself was not completely unfounded. He had a very impressive grades in both combat and magical control. Still he hadn't expected Saya to start with such a ferocious opening move. He side stepped and spun, the windblade cutting off the front of his shirt as it passed."So much for sparring, jeeze."As he came off the spin he sent for fire along the grass as well as a fireball. The fireball was aimed to her left side but moved reletively slow compared to the wind blade. The fire sent along the grass was obvious and went wide to her right mearly creating a puny line of flames. However anyone who had paid attention to his sparring matches in the past would know that this was the start of one of his favourite tactics. The idea was to steadily shrink the opponents battle field with these seemingly harmless lines of fire. If Saya tried to cross it or even come close Tackeron could instantly rise up several feet and increase it's intensity almost four fold. There have been more then just a few unfortunates to get burned by this move. Needless to say it had proven difficult to counter for most students. Harmony___Saya___Tennyson____[[ Name's Saya. And don't you dare call me Minnie. ]] The sight of fire did not surprise Saya, but she had a hard time keeping her curiosity under her wraps. Her eyes shined with excitement. It wasn't often she got to spar. Without complete control, in that her emotions easily held sway over her magic, it had been deemed dangerous to allow her to battle another classmate to her heart's content. But she was free from classroom restraints here, as well as temporarily hidden from Macideus' watchful eye. She watched the fire with undisguised interest, sparing little attention to the seemingly innocent bit of flames at her back and turning her attention to the fireball, which could really prove to be a problem if she didn't address it. Unaware of the true purpose of the smaller flames, Saya couldn't be sure she was being trapped. All she knew was that such a small threat had to have another function and if possible, she might want to try blowing that bit of fire out.
The girl extended both hands and sucked in a deep breathe of fresh air, turning her fans are varying angles and gathering air pressure around her. When she let out her breathe, the wind seemed to intensify around her and she began to spin. Using both legs to building momentum, she soon raised one leg and bent it at the knee to she was spinning on the tip of one foot alone. The wind she gathered seemed to exploded around her just before the fire ball could hit its mark, violent winds ripping around her as if she intended to create her own miniature tornado. The idea was to create and wield a wind strong enough to blow out the flames, which meant she needed considerable force for that ball of fire, and then add in some attacks while she was at. Which was step number two.
Within her spinning vortex, Saya released new wind blades, on slightly less threatening levels, at random. She kept this up for a good twenty or thirty seconds so a barrage of smaller, less sharp - just just as silent and quick - wind blades before slowing the spins to a halt. (As a reference, this would make painful cuts, but nothing close to slicing off a limb.) Those attacks were mostly meant to function as a distraction so she could get her bearings, dizzy from all the spinning she had done. Saya's vision lost that annoying touch of dizziness and she steadied herself, facing Tackeron again and inching back a few steps so she could study the condition he was in and whether or not he was directly pursuing her again. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where's your gavel? TackeronMy friends call me Tack. Both the fireball and the small flames were blown out and Tackeron shielded himself with his arms as weaker wind blades cut at him repeatedly, but he did not stop moving forward. The attacks were tearing up his shirt and now his pants and shoes too. In addition to the frustration at having his wall blown out he was peeved at getting his cloths ruined the fireball had been intended as a distraction to waste her energy on. The blood from the cuts seeped into his clothing but he shook off the pain and closed the distance between him and her while she regained her bearings. The next move was pretty simple, heck even brutish, he swung a punch at her face. Now normally this was highly unethical but since they weren't ion typical society he figured it was all good. He of course puncuated the attack with a taunt."Bonjouer! Delivery, special!"The words were said with a fake french accent as he delivered his punch.

Harmony___Saya___Tennyson____[[ Name's Saya. And don't you dare call me Minnie. ]] Saya had been completely unprepared for the next attack. Sliding into a defensive position was supposed to keep her on her feet, able to block, if not counter, whatever attack Tackeron threw at her. Fire magic was a distinct possibility, taking the first two attacks into consideration. She was relieved to still be free of harsh burns, but she wasn't entirely sure how long that would last. She had managed to do some damage to her opponent, at the very least, so even if she lost her pride would be quite as bruised as it would be otherwise. The girl did feel a little guilty about Tackeron's injuries and made a mental note to send him off to the academy healers for some damage control once their match was over. Terms of defeat were never specified, so she assumed the loser was whoever called uncle first, so to speak. Hopefully Tackeron had the same idea. If not, they may be out here all day.
Anyway, back to Saya being unprepared, a punch had been the last thing she expected. Eyes going wide, the girl tried to raise her arm in front of her face as a sort of barrier, but she wasn't quick often. The couple seconds of surprise had cost her, and the force of the punch coupled with pure shock knocked her over so she ended up sitting on the soft ground, hair falling around her face so as to effectively hide it from Tackeron. Saya set one fan on the ground and touched the side of her mouth, pulling it away to find blood on the tips of her fingers. His thumb may have also cut her cheek since she felt a stinging sensation further over. Overall, the left side of her face just felt like it was throbbing.
The girl spit some blood out on the ground to the side of her and reached for her fan again. It looked like she was going to stand, in the process of getting back of her feet to continue the battle. Instead, Saya swept one leg out with warning, putting all the force behind it she could muster, while Tackeron was still close. As you might have guessed, the idea was to knock his legs out from under him before he could get away. If it worked, Saya would pin him down by placing her knee on his stomach and shifting her body weight to that leg before putting one of her steel-edged fans to his throat. If the attack was unsuccessful, she would jump back on her feet and chase after him. Instead of a friendly battle, now Saya was just angry, and that was dangerous thing for a girl whose magic relied so heavily on her emotional state. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where's your gavel?
