My biggest gripes about that movie were that Mister Hyde turned good way, WAY too quickly and Nemo wasn't nearly angry enough. Good ol' Mr. H was a murderous psycho right to the end. heart

And about Absolute Sandman:

This sounds fantastic! (Of course this is coming from someone who hasn't even read the series)

And, yeah, I'm glad they've decided not to monkey around with the original art by putting stuff like digital dinos in the background...

Well, like I've said earlier, I've mostly been watching Trek reruns. We have all the movies, the original series, and Star Tre: Enterprise on DVD. Can't afford the others. Everything else I've been watching catch-as-catch-can, I'm afraid.

I have a pile of DVDs I haven't watched yet.
I buy all the Full Metal Alchemist DVDs as soon as they come out.
I buy all the Hayao Miyazaki & Studio Ghibli releases, too. Their work is awesomely beautiful to behold. That's "Princess Mononoke", "Spirited Away", "My Neighbor Totoro", etc.
The only one I would tell you all to be careful about watching is "Grave of the Fireflies". It's beautiful, but it will tear your heart completely out. crying

I have no idea what's in the DVD player. I never use it.
But, in Drive 1, is The Box Of Delights. Roobarb let me borrow it, because I am very, very bored.
In Drive 2, I have...well, I don't know, but it probably isn't a movie.
And I have loads of crap on my trusty iPod, and a few games on my Firewire drive. I think.

I need a new anime to watch...any suggestions?

Gunslinger Girl, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Wolf's Rain, Lain, FLCL (if you like that sort of randomness)...

I heard Bleach is good but I haven't watched it. Same with Raxephon and Madlax.

Oh! Paranoia Agent is interesting... and Le Portrait de Petite Cossette (movie, I think...) I heard is excellent.

Samarai Champloo is good.

I've got Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and FMA already. They all rock, particularly Cowboy Bebop. As for the rest, I'll have to look them up. You see, I managed to clear 7GB on my iPod, and have nothing to put there yet.
I've seen bits of Bleach. Seems OK, but not really my cup of tea. And Rahxephon is good...if a little, well, aimless. From what I've watched so far, while there is a storyline, it seems to go nowhere fast, which is either a good or a bad thing, though I'm not sure which. Oh, and each episode is an hour and a half long.
Anyway, I must go to sleep now, but my bed is downstairs and my right knee is almost broken. I feel like House, I have to hobble around with a cane, and I'm pretty grumpy as a result of the pain. sweatdrop

Aw! I hope you feel better!

I love Cowboy Bebop SO much.

Especially 'Toys in the Attic'. "Mmm. Pudding!" rofl

And, of course, 'Cowboy Funk'. A real Cowboy... xd

Ooh, more anime discussion. Yay!

I like Cowboy Bebop. I especially like the episodes dealing with Spike's backstory. Vicious was cool. I didn't like the movie all that much though.

Lain... was a bit too incoherent for me to follow. I gave up about half way through.

I sort of like FLCL, even though I usually don't go for zany shows. I've only seen episodes 1-4, and I have no idea what it's really about... guy with stuff coming out of his head, some crazy alien woman, a robot, some factory that looks like an iron. Um... okay... confused The music's good.

I found Rahxephon to be a bit boring, and there were several superficial similarities to Evangelion that irked me.

I enjoyed Paranoia Agent until it started getting a little too surreal for my taste... around the time when the detectives started investigating the guy that played too many RPGs. The openning theme is great, especially with all those people laughing insanely in the title sequence.

I hate Fruitsbasket so much... I don't find it funny, just boring. My friends have been trying to convert me for WAY too long.

Well, for Raxephon, it's not TOO similar to Evangelion. At least they're not real mechas. Heh.

FLCL... is just... let me put it this way, I had to watch the series (it's only 6 episodes) three times through to understand the plot. Look it up in wiki... they explain at least the point of the anime itself. It has so many jokes in it for an obsessed anime fan it's insane... but some of them are hard to get unless you know Japanese. That's why I want the DVDs, so I can watch it with the Director's Commentary.

But the sountrack is one of the best things EVER. I have Addict and am searching for the second OST. They have the best background music I've ever heard... especially 'Beautiful Morning With You'.

I bought the box set of Lain (only box set left) when the Suncoast near my house was going out of business. It was on sale! And I'd heard it was good. But I've only watched the first episode. >>;

Paranoia Agent's ending is so cool though. When you find out who really attacked her... and what Little Slugger really is. All the black goop enveloping the city was kind of just plain odd... but the actual story line is so cool.

Cowboy Bebop ish holeh. When I first watched it (on Adult Swim) I caugh it half way through the show. So by the time I watched the beginning episodes, I knew the backstory. But still... it's so great. I love the music box. I have the song it plays (Stella By Moor) on my play list. It's one of the prettiest tunes I've probably ever heard.

:looks up: Heh... I didn't mean to make my post so long. ^^
