"hey now dont get so troubled. Believe me its a story for another time. Just know that you should be careful in the world but dont stop it from being yourself. As for right now though we should be working on your flying not giving you all sorts of reasons not to relax" Morin pointed out. "You okay eating fish?" Morin asked his eyes going slightly predatorial as he watched the group of dolphins below them herding the tuna all in one massive group. The birds seemed to also be capitalizing on this.

Anila followed Morin’s gaze and spotted the dolphins’ herding the fish. No I don’t have any problem eating fish. Anila tried to think of the last thing she had eaten. It had been a while since she had last eaten fish. In fact it sounds very tasty. Anila kept her eyes on the fish below her.

"Okay, then will you be okay for a little bit?" he asked. she should be fine after all it was a thermal and should still last a little while longer but he didnt want to go diving down to get the fish until he knew she was going to be okay on her own.

Anila took a moment to make sure she would be ok flying. She was stable for now. It felt strange to be so relaxed and not worried about crashing. Yes. I think I’ll be ok. She was nervous but she thought she would be alright.

"alright. I shouldnt be gone that long. We arent very far from the shore after all." Morin stated before moving out of the thermal. He quickly moved his wings back to rest on his back and moved into a dive to close the distance between where they were and the water. At the last second he grabbed a fish that was too close to the surface and brought his wings out to catch on the wind again and pull him up very reminiscent of an eagle. Nodding thanks to the dolphin he quickly placed the tuna on the shore before returning to Anila.

Anila watched Morin the best she could. She floundered a bit but caught herself before it got to bad. Morin was very agile in the air. She was impressed. Good job. That was very impressive to watch. Anila tried to think of anything better to say to Morin when he came back but couldn’t come up with anything at all. It’s bad enough I can’t fly, but now I can’t even think of things to say? This is just sad. I can’t seem to do anything right at all.

Morin chuckled a bit and shook his head. "Oh its nothing really it just comes with lots and lots of practice." He stated. "and watching other winged animals. After I got the flying part down I started to watch birds and dragons and things and then went out and tried them myself. It ended up with a lot of embarrassing landings... though dont worry Perhaps one day you'll get there to." Morin tried to reassure.

It was hard to imagine Morin doing anything that was even remotely embarrassing. He was simply so graceful in the air that when Anila found herself picturing Morin seeming like he was about to fail but then miraculously saving himself. She looked at morning out of the corner of her eye when he said that she might be able to do such things one day. Surely he wouldn’t say such kind things only to placate her? Did he really think that she could handle such graceful maneuvers? Anila really hopped so.

"However you still need a lot of practice before you get there, and you want to make sure you have all the basics down first because those are the first things you might teach others" Morin stated shaking his head. He apparently still had kits on the brain. It was such a mistake to hang around that daeva for so long. Looking back up at his current teaching task Morin risked moving his paw to correct part of Anila's stance, hopefully allowing her to maintain balance easier.

Anila thought carefully over what Morin had said. Well it was true she never thought about teaching anyone else, if she knew the basics at least she could keep herself out of trouble. She sighed mentally. Flying was a challenge to her she felt tense. Blinking she turned her head slightly to look at Morin what he corrected her stance. Almost immediately she felt it easier to balance and less strain on her wings. Morin really knew what he was doing. T-thank you.

Morin took a deep breath and shook his head. This might be a little harder than he thought. She needed to be less tense. It was her first problem " You're welcome. But dont worry there is no need to be so tense of flying. I mean its okay to be slightly afraid but you also need to be at peace with that fear and have confidence in your flying. I wouldn't let anything happen and we are not that far off that I cant get us both on to dry land" although it would be a stretch and very tiring for him to do so, but that was some thing better left in his head.

Be at peace with fear? How does one achieve that? Anila was annoyed with herself for not being able to handle her flying better then she was. She tried to relax but she just couldn’t. It was nice that Morin said he could take them both back to land if she floundered but she had to ask herself if that was really possible. She was the average size of a Phim and the combined weight would be harder to transport back to land. Anila pondered such things and tried to come up with a solution but while she did so she didn’t realize that she was tensing up worse than usual since her mind was a whirl of worried thoughts. Her wings seized up and Anila was jolted back to reality as she started to plummet downward. Snapping her wings Anila tried to slow the decent so she could regain control.

Morin's face went a bit blank as she tensed up again this time going into falling. It was probably now they should spend a bit of time on the ground. Morin waited to see if she could get it under control. He still had a bit more time before time before he couldn't catch her and take them back to the clan. She needed to build her own confidence up and not have him catching her all the time.

Flapping her wings Anila managed to gain some semblance of control. She was badly shaken though. Turning her head she called up to Morin. I-I’m ok. I’m going to head back to shore though. Wheeling around awkwardly she headed back to shore. Tears started to fill her eyes but she didn’t focus on them and kept flying. She had been doing so well and had tried so hard, still she had floundered and nearly failed. What am I doing this for? I’m a Phim who shouldn’t fly.

Morin touched down before her and waited for her to land on the shore. He noticed she seemed to be crying and shook his head. "You did good today. Dont get so discouraged. No one gets it in the first day, and you managed to save yourself something you where having problems with just a while ago, so you are improving" Morin pointed out.
