Mr Jes Itami Mr Jes So in other words, not only are the killing Shinkenger, but PR as well? Wonderful. -_- Well from what I can tell they are killing power rangers with this incarnation. Shinkenger I figured they would brutally murder and reuse the corpse of when making this, but then I feel that way with anything being brought over for English audiences in the way Saban/4kids does. You think they would have played it smart. -_- Too bad they don't translate it clearly. Isn't the head cheeze an alcoholic? He drinks Sake all of the time, not Medicine. It would be more fun, if Saban just finished the exact translation...haha American Parents would be pissed.

In some ways I like Samurai in others not so much. I like how they started to show that the Rangers do in fact get injuried and need to recovery. Don't like how they want back to the Cheesiness and puns up the a$$ again.
But whatever. Every seem to forget, if Saban hadn't bought the rights back from Disney, We wouldn't have Power Rangers anymore.
We'd be stuck with the Nightmarish Remastered Mighty Morphin. Yes they could do better, but at the same time they can do so much worse.
I just hope we get the team up with RPM. However some D--khead writer doesn't believe that Wild Force - RPM are in Canon. Which is Bullshit.
We had the awesome team up in Wild Force with all the old Red Rangers. Had the team up with Time Force too.
Dino Thunder had Tommy again and had the similar feel as Mighty Morphin (Least to me)
Overdrive had Adam, Alpha 6 and even Zordon was Brought up. Thrax was even the son of Rita and Zedd.
So their in canon. RPM can and Can't be depending on View. We have no idea when it's set since now timeline was ever said, but don't forget that Mack Red Overdrive helmet was in an episodes.
For now we're just going to have to grin and bear Samurai and hope that it gets better or if we get an adoption of either Goseiger or Gokaiger

Ok, so this morning while my roommate was vacuuming downstairs, I decided to flip through the channels and what do I come across but this morning's episode of Power Rangers Samurai. I decided to brave it and watch the episode.
First of all, it was a Yellow Ranger focus episode, so that right there was already turning me off. I watched the whole episode, and by the time it was over, I wanted Dark Shinken Red to come in and kill the Samurai Rangers.
Let me get this right off my chest, The Puns.....oh god the puns....I want to gag the actors for their puns. Those were worse than the puns in MMPR. Even the enemies puns were bad.
I am actually wanting the bad guys to win over the Samurai Rangers. If I had my way, I think I would write the ending so that the bad guys actually destroy the rangers this year, making the whole series worth all the lousy acting.
That's the other thing, the actors for the rangers. They are by no means close to being the characters the Shinkengers were. I mean come on!
Saban has really let me down this year. Hell, even some of the ranger series that Disney did were better than this. The fact of the matter is that Saban really has really lost touch with what the sentai series are in Japan compared the Rangers series here in the USA.
I have been watching the entire Time Force series, and I would have to consider that my favorite PR series ever! Hell, even the actors were great and knew how to act!
Ok, one more point: The girls of PR are supposed to good looking! Hell, we got fan service way back in MMPR with how many times we saw Kimberly and Trinny in sports bras and dresses.Hell, even Jen in time force we got to see in dresses, mini skirts and sports bras. God, Samurai Pink and Yellow don't even wear clothes that really show them off. Ug....thank you Saban for killing the fan service as well! scream
Overall, I can honestly say that Saban really did a bad job with Samurai compared to his past PR series. Even the toys.....I won't go down that road though I really want to. This post is long enough as is.
So to summarize: Power Rangers Samurai - 0/10
EDIT: Ok, I understand that even in Shinkenger that the yellow and pink rangers were not all that sexy, nor were they supposed to be. Sorry for that.

I have been watching samurai on an off since it started, thanks to that awful timeslot of 10 am mountain time!, and have come across some problems with the series.
1. The actors are not as good as previous one have been.
2. I know master Xandred is getting drunk!
3. The first episode wasnt a first episode, it was filler!
4. Spike is annoying.
5. what the hell is going on, where is the plot>?
however, these problems have started to become less obvious as I watched some other episodes online.
1. while the acting abilities of blue and pink and yellow are pretty bad, I think Mike is a rather decent one.
2. Fine, he is drinking medicine you cry baby conservative, brainwashing, foolish american parents that want their children to remain ignorant to the reality of the world around them only so you dont have to explain the harsness of life to the children that you cant see as actual persons but only as ignorant little bundles through which you can live your own unfulfilled dreams.
3. I am hooked to finding the plot, if they ever have any.
4. spike grows on you little by little, by lkittle.
Im seeing samurai as showing not that saban lost its touch, but more like its showing that they are rusty. That guy antonio is weird, but I dont remember such a kickass appeareance since the omega rangers lightning speed bullet catching abilities, and that crossed kicked scene between him and Jayden was pretty cool.
But seriously, someone has to explain why the hell is bulk there. Did RPM really happen in another dimension.

Not to mention the story is just...dull even for kid's shows. And i beleive in the shinkenger series it was sometimes called medicine.

yeah, really like the antonio character, he is just... weird... but likable... im was recently watching forever red and once a ranger, and well gokaiger which has like the most gargantuan rainbow fight of the universe and started to wonder... in 2012 the worlds is going to end so its probably gonna be caused by the 20th aniversary forever once a red ranger special. But is the goikaiger footage gona get used, or is saban going to go and do something else. i mean samurai is set to stay for like 2 seasons.

I think Antonio helped save the show. It was dragging week by week, and here comes this character that reminded me of Zhane from Space. YAY, a goof ball! Or like Trip from TF.
Hopefully it will get better.
Yeah, Spike is growing on me, too. More than Bulk, unfortunately.

Not only did they ruin this by not having all the RPM Rangers there, they used some of the clips from the Go-Onger vs Shinkenger of only the two red rangers and edited it so badly that I had to question there the random laser blasts came from (that should have come from the RPM Rangers). Not to mention the lazy looking Gold Ranger. Really Saban, WTF? God, I am so disappointed in what Saban has done to Samurai. *Points to Gokaiger* They better not screw that up! God I will so pissed if they mess that up! OH! I totally forgot! How about not even able to get RPM's actor to do his own character's voice? Really Saban, a sound-a-like? Geez!!! And dear lord, the dubbing on this special was the worst yet! Ugh....

The originals up to Time Force we're good....After that, Then they we're losing good Story Plots......I liked it better when they had it up to Lost in Space.....But they made the Zords in this new one a little similar with the originals....

General Clark - AESF The originals up to Time Force we're good....After that, Then they we're losing good Story Plots......I liked it better when they had it up to Lost in Space.....But they made the Zords in this new one a little similar with the originals.... Yeah, Time Force was probably the best overall before things begin to go downhill. The series just seemed to everything right and even now as I shun Power Rangers and prefer only Sentai, it's still a series I enjoy. The Folding Zords/Origami Mecha? I can see where you're coming from. However they're different because they have a traditional Japanese culture type gimmick and only they're looks are resemble previous mecha/zords. When you think of it, if you only redo the looks of the same animal so many times before it starts to look old/the same. Toei should really start using other animals. They've got plenty to choose from besides a lion and a dragon. xd

From what I've understand, Power Rangers Samurai was split into to two parts/seasons. Twenty episode fall and a twenty episode spring season. However I don't think they're going to do an entire new year since they've all ready acquired the rights to Goseiger and thus named it Mega Force. gonk Spoiler in White: The only thing I'm interested to see is Shiba Kaoru's counterpart and how Saban works it out. Despite the overall reaction to Samurai is negative, I'm still interested in seeing it play out, or at the very least hearing about it.
