Sitara chuckled. "In many situations, yes." She agreed. "And now, I promised you some aerial amazingness." She grinned at Dakari, spreading her wings to their full length. She sat back on her haunches and launched herself into the air, similarly to how she leapt over the log.
The open air hit her face, bringing the feeling of being free, the wind ruffling through her fur relaxed all the excess tension she still had. Circling the forest, she caught sight of where she had gotten...misplaced, and shook her head at her foolishness. Moving back into view of the clearing, Sitara dipped her left wing sharply to the left, doing a tight barrel roll, a couple of loops, and a few other maneuvers.
She dipped out of sight for a few minutes before reappearing, landing in the clearing again, this time with two rabbits. "He, I got hungry. Would you like to eat before or after you come flying with me?" She asked.

Dakari shook his head. "I would rather not discover I don't have a stomach for flying while my stomach is full," he said wryly. "I don't think you'd want that either." He had been impressed by Sitara's flying, but it only reenforced the reality that he was a ground creature. He had no idea how he would take to being in the air.

She eyed the rabbits, then eyed Dakari. "I think you're right. Sorry, I'm used to every one being okay with flying. Even my Uncle Kito, though he doesn't have any wings." Sitara explained. "I'm sure you're gonna love it though. Are you ready?" She asked, wanting to make absolutely sure. She didn't want him panicking while they were in the air; again, she didn't think he would, but just in case.

Dakari sighed. Now that it actually came down to it, he was nervous. He tried to relax his muscles, and partially succeeded. "If you drop me I shall bite you," he warned, waiting for Sitara to do what she needed to do.
((I got the mental picture of her carrying Dakari as she passes Tsuna carrying Cicely XD My poor grumpy foxes, being towed around by Daevas *cackles*))

Sitara snorted. "If I drop you, you will be dead." She replied, knowing she deserved him biting her just for her teasing him in such a way. "Or I'll catch you. Hopefully I'll catch you."
Before he could comment on that last bit, she wrapped her paws around him, claws digging slightly into his ribcage and leapt into the air. She snapped her wings open and pumped hard to get enough lift for them both to rise over the trees.
Leveling out, she caught a thermal, allowing the cycle of warm air currents to lift them even higher until they both had a decent view of the forest Dakari lived in. "So, how are you liking your first flight?" She asked, keeping them as level as possible. She didn't want to do any maneuvers until Dakari was more comfortable with being up in the air.

Dakari was doing his best to relax his muscles as Sitara asked how he was doing. How was he doing? Well the initial terror was starting to die. Actually flying was so different from watching someone fly. Feeling the very wind pushing and pulling you around was horrifying.
It took awhile before Sitara's flying felt less like he was just a leaf being tossed in the wind. Dakari wasn't sure he wanted to look down just yet, not until he got used to the whole sensation.
"Let's say it's taking some getting used to, and leave it at that to preserve my dignity," Dakari said, managing his lazy drawl even as the wind rushed past his face. He was actually quite proud he's managed to pull of the tone without any slips to show he was a tad nervous.

Sitara laughed. They certainly were a prideful pair, 'getting misplaced', 'getting used to' it. At least he didn't sound panicky, in fact he sounded fairly normal. Hopefully that meant he wasn't about to flail and wreck her balance.
"This is the easy part. Just tell me when you're used to it and we can do some tricks. Nothing complicated, just a few easy ones." She said, gliding gently. Sitara wanted him to enjoy flying, not be afraid of it, so she was going slow and steady until Dakari was at ease.

Dakari gave a long-suffering sigh. "I fear no matter how used to gliding I become, the first time you try flipping around in the air while holding me I shall make a very embarassing noise."
He did have to admit he enjoyed the rush of wind blowing against him. It was almost like standing on a cliff with a storm coming at you, minus the smell of water in the air and salt in your eyes.

"Tsuna squeaked the first few times he flew with papa. Though if you ask him, he'll probably deny it. Vehemently. Actually, truth be told, I did too." Sitara told Dakari. Sitara shook her head, not quite believing she'd admitted that to him.
"But I was thinking more along the lines of water gliding. No flips involved. You got a lake around here?" She asked. She dipped one wing and flew them in lazy circles.

"Nothing in Cruor land, at least not within tribe borders. There should be one somewhere around here though." Dakari looked around. By now he had lost his bearings, so he wasn't quite sure which way to tell Sitara to go.
"Hmmm. I guess just fly around and see if we can spot it."

Sitara lifted higher to get a better view of their surroundings, and spotted a wide blue pool on the outskirts of the forest. Even from this height, it seemed wide enough for what she had in mind. Sitara held herself steady to decrease the turbulence from pointing the landmark out with her tail.
"We're gonna go down there, that small lake seems perfect. When we get there you should hold your legs out stiffly. There's a bigger wake that way." Sitara told Dakari. "I do want you to know...going down is a bit scarier than going up, since you can see the ground kinda rushing up at you. No panicking."
She angled downward, keeping the slope of her decent fairly soft. No need to make the decent worse with a dive bomb.

'Keeping my legs stiff shouldn't be a problem,' Dakari thought wrly. As Sitara angled them to descend he felt his muscles tensing up again. "Dare I ask if you've tried with before," Dakari asked, trying to distract himself. It would be a tad of a unpleasant shock if Sitara misjudged her strength and the force of the water pulled Dakari from her grip.

"Sure," Sitara said easily, "I was on your side though." She had felt him tense up again and sighed a little. She wasn't ever going to drop him. She had to admit, though, he was doing great for a first timer.
As they neared the lake, Sitara went out of her glide and started pumping her wings to slow them down. She didn't just need to get the right speed, but she needed the correct angle as well. Finding it, she dropped and gave her wings a mighty beat, gaining the speed she needed to keep Dakari's feet on top of the water, not dragging in it.
"Okay, here we go. Feet out and stiff." She called down to him, she dipped only a little bit at first, having his paws barely skimming the water so that she could get used to the bit of drag.

Dakari kept his legs as stiff as he could. The shock of cold and wet on his feet made his muscles twitch initially, but soon he relaxed and allowed Sitara to guide them along through the air. A light spray rose up to dust his white and purple fur with tiny drops of water.
Dakari actually chuckled. Without worrying about height he was enjoying the flying more. Soon he was getting the feel for what Sitara was doing with the small shifts and movements.

Sitara smiled. There, she had known he would enjoy this. She reached the end of the lake, wheeled and took him across again before she gently placed him on the ground. She landed in front of Dakari and turned to grin at him. "So, was it everything you were imagining when you watched the birds?" She asked, head tilted slightly.
She looked at her companion and felt a small stab of pain. She was out of the forest, he'd gone flying. What more was there to do? She found herself loath to leave now that she'd found Dakari. He was fun, adventurous, and brave enough to go flying with her. She...liked him.
