I'm probably going to try to find some good homes on a few of the fish forums since I just found out shipping isn't quite as complicated as I thought it would be... The rest will go to my lfs

A lot of the people on fishlore ime don't give the best advice just the 'okay' advice.

I have found that with a combination of research and FL advice, I can make the right choice. The mods are usually the ones that give the best advice lol Its getting better though, the longer I've been there.

Only reason I like it there is because its more active xD I really want a south american leaf fish for my 10g but I'm not sure if it'd be considered too small. I know they typically like 20g but it'll be heavily planted and stuff ;_; and they arent overly active. oh well

bout 4 inches they're just really interesting I think. I also love predatory fish and they're small compared to most. can't hurt a thing, right? chyeah. Look at that mouth o_o they pretty much just float around all day and then when a fish gets close they suck them in

They're ugly, but strangley cute at the same time... eek lol I think that 4 inches is a bit much for a ten gallon... Maybe get a Betta if you want something preditory (or two for that maller lol)?

Maybe a 15 or 20 gallon?

Maybe a 15 or 20 gallon? Its not really their activity level, though. Its how much they poor, though not knowing anything about these guys, I cant say what their bioload is... I think maybe a 20 gallon would be ok, like a long, perhaps...

Activity level does play a big part, but moreso for hyper fish. If they eat a lot, I wouldn't go with 10. Judging by that mouth, I think you'd be safer with something bigger. I just saw some african leaf fish at pet smart, they're really interesting but I can't set up another tank right now.
