Never heard of Nier but I used to have Okami... until it disappeared...
I suspect my old friend snagged it from me when I wasn't looking,
but I could never actually get into it even though I liked it.
For some reason I just got bored... = 3 = Just wasn't too exciting
I suppose... It had funny moments though, & the game itself
is beautiful.

The man who crated okami, I respect him as a creator and artist because every game he's made, he doesn't sit back and rely on a formula because it worked once, he tests him limits and always creates somethign beautiful. B:
Nier is a new game, came out aroudn the same time as FF so it's kinda being swept under the carpet. It's word of mouth is terrific though.

Hmm... I haven't seen any other games by the creator, but
if there anything like Okami I might want to at least look into it,
may not go & buy it, but that doesn't mean I can't admire it.
It's quite unique I like, just not exactly my type of game genre D:
I did hear though the next Okami is gonna on the DS
It looks really interesting considering the kid who's gonna be the
partner of puppy Okami is I believe the child of that drunk who's
a decendant of the great warrior from long ago.
I'll look it up, it does sound a bit interesting enough, it's
too bad it's just getting ignored like that because of FF = 3 =

oh, he did devil may cry 1, bayonetta and okami :3 So essentially his career has been a string of successes for him.
also, nier is a kinda, niche game, it's not for everyone. It's easily described as an rpg, but it's got elements from almost every kind of game within. And is makes references to other games, like, it's very serious at some point, but once the main character lifts a new item up to the sky a la Zelda xD v" you found, the map! do do do!"

The only real problem i have with neir is in the english version it's a father and a daughter, and the daughter is VERY stereotypical " I'M SORRY THINGS I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER HAPPENED! I'M SORRY FOR STUFF THAT I DIDN'T DO!"

o n o Uh... I... I guess that means you wont like me too much...
It's not that I always truly feel sorry... It's become a habit since
my aunt treated me like I was nothing but a mistake, & everything
I did was a mistake... Now I can't stop feeling like everything is

No it's like, as a writing technique, not as a personal quality, like, you know, how like, in anime the sick little girl is always apologizing for being sick, it's just kinda, really overdone and over the top
