(*nods* we have made cute couples with our foxes. )
Taiat set his treasure down in front of Harvest and stepped back. It's yours if you would have it. If you think that's beautiful you should see yourself in this light. Your fur shimmers as the light from the crystals reaches it. You look like amethyst and light purple chromium alum crystals mixed together. Its and aesthetically pleasing effect. Taiat blushed a bit when he said this. He couldn't help it. Why am I blushing? I was stating a fact, yet I am uncertain if that was a good thing to say or not. Am I coming down with an illness, could that have caused my unusual reactions? If so I should give Harvest some space until I know how the contaminates travel. Perhaps I should tell her to disinfect the crystal I offered her? He decided against it though since he hadn't held the crystal very long.

Harvest blinked in alarm. Her eyes glanced upon herself, flicking away as a light tint hit her cheeks. Aesthetically pleasing? Why did this send such a rush through her? She shook her head at Taiat, looking away from him. "Even so, nothing is more beautiful then these crystals." She mused back before scooping the stone up, nuzzling it against the hollow spot between her shoulders and wings. "Thank you, I will take good care of this." She smiled, adoring the item she had been given. It was so... gorgeous.

Taiat smiled softly at Harvest. She didn't realize that she equaled and perhaps surpassed the crystal's beauty? The crystals are trapped here in this cave and can only show their beauty when foxes bring light to them, you are moving and help bring light to others. Even as he said the words he somehow felt that they where true. I'm glad that you will take care of it, but I am happier that you like it. It was kind of sad to give away something that he liked so well, yet it was gratifying that she received it and appreciated it.

"T-thank you kindly." She whispered quietly, unable to stop the stutter. What was happening to her? Why was she feeling warm around the cheeks? What the hell was Taiat doing to her? She was grateful to the gift, unable to express how much she loved it. She could tell he would miss it, but... could you miss something you always saw? What if she saw him frequently? Visited? He was someone she could tolerate... No! What was she talking about!
She was composed, calm, detached. She wasn't like this. Like what? Oh...she didn't know...

You are most welcome. Taiat noticed that Harvest's cheeks where somewhat discolored from what they were before. He raised a paw and gently held it to her forehead. Good she doesn't have a fever. He allowed his paw to slide down to her flushed cheek. It was very warm. Are you alright Harvest? Is she ok? I hope so. If she was sick I would be very distraught... I rarely make a connection with another fox and she is very pleasing to talk to. I don't want her to feel sad or sick. Not now not ever.
(Poor Taiat he is a clueless moron..)

Harvest jumped as a paw touched her forehead, eyes flicking upwards at the contact. Someone had touched her. The female blinked at Taiat, however did not yank away from the orange male. She could remember getting angry when Prelude even so much as pawed her tail, but that was different. Prelude was a handful, though kind when it came down to it, but he had forced himself on her, resulting in her consistent distaste for him at times. Though, they were friends, in a way.
But this was different. Taiat did not seem like one to often do this, and it sent the already feeling strange female reeling when the paw touched her warm cheeks.
"I am fine, why?" She questioned, suddenly realizing her warm cheeks probably were noticeable, most likely what had raised the concern. She glanced about, finding a quick and believable excuse. "It is humid in here, isn't it?"

Taiat withdrew his paw realizing how his abrupt action had affected Harvest. My apologies.Thank goodness she is only warm and not sick. He nodded to her comment about the temperature. It was rather warm in this section of the cave, and the fire didn’t help matters. If you would like there is an underground little spring not far from here. Taiat gestured further down the tunnel. It is much cooler there. Though the light will be much dimmer unless we light a new fire when we get there.

Harvest didn't respond to his apology, to busy trying to make sure she didn't look like an idiot. The Deava tilted her head at the mention of the springs, spreading her wings. It had been awhile since she relaxed, maybe she could enjoy a good bath before heading off. She was...well, a little unwilling to leave right now. Taiat gave interesting conversation, and she enjoyed his company.
"If it does not bother you, then I would enjoy a dip in the springs."

It doesn't bother me in the least. Taiat smiled as he lead the way to the springs. The water here was cool but not cold if he remembered right. He could spend hours soaking in the spring and simply relax.
The network of caves in this area was a maze but he remembered the way without any problem. Here we are. Taiat moved aside when he had come to the opening of a small side chamber that anyone that wasn't paying attention would have missed. The reflection from the hall before did filter down this far but it was dim enough that the darker purple on Harvest's coat could have been mistaken for black. If you wold be so kind as to provide us with a little bit of light?

Harvest nodded, heading over to a corner of the area and shaking out timber she had carried on her shoulders, lighting it with her golden flames. The female fox stopped, eyeing her flames. So off colored from her purple fur, she never liked the color of them. She felt like an ugly duckling at times. Did it matter? No, it never did in the end.
She headed back to Taiat, glancing about. "How did you discover this place?"

Taiat watched Harvest and noticed her staring at her flames for a bit before lighting the tinder. Why was that? Is the tinder bad? Well when I was a kit before I joined Kurai I did some wandering on my own. I came to this valley and took refuge in the caves here when I was chased by a hawk. My fur isn't exactly easy to hide in the grassy slopes above the forest. I got lost in the caves and stumbled into the spring one day. Taiat cringed at his memory of falling in the water by accident. He had hated getting wet as a kit. I stayed here for a few weeks. Eventually I had this place memorized. It feels a bit strange being back here.

Harvest nodded, tilting her head at him. He had been chased by a hawk? Poor guy, if she ever had kits she would have to, if anyone would ever bear her kits of course. She glanced at the water, sighing as she retracted her flames. Ugly flames, but she didn't feel like being insecure around another person. That would make her look childish, not mature. She was not going to make herself look pathetic.
Carefully, she stepped into the springs, lowering her purple body in when she had set aside the beautiful stone Taiat had given her, giving it one loving glance before nuzzling the cooling water over her aching wings. Oh, that felt nice.

It's a pity you have to extinguish such pretty flames. But I suppose the water would do that anyway. Taiat walked up to the spring's edge as he watched Harvest get in. Do you mind if I join you? I could probably use a bath after traveling so long. I must smell like dunghill by now. Strange how I never bothered to think about it. He noticed how she looked at the crystal. She does like it. That's good. Taiat was happy he realized this and couldn't help but smile a bit. It was strange to be happy, but good. Yes definitely good.

Harvest tilted her head as he mentioned her golden flames. Didn't he know gold didn't go well with purple? Or, maybe it did? She calmly nodded when Taiat mentioned joining her, moving to the side and shifting her wings so he could do so and still have personal space. She paused her thoughts as she eyed Taiat, deciding she wanted to familiarize herself with the other. "Do you have family? Kits? Parents? Mate? I am sorry if I am intruding, but I am curious as to why a lone fox is traveling by himself."

Taiat gratefully nodded to Harvest as he sank into the spring water beside her. Nonsense you aren't intruding at all. I don't have any interesting secrets to hide I'm afraid. I don't have any kits. I seriously doubt any fox would want to bear kits with my plain fur so I don't see any kits in the future either. Although I would like some one day. I don't have any memories of any parents so the closest thing to that would be the other members of the Kurai tribe. I found them not long after I left this valley so I was more of less raised there. Because of my lack of social graces I doubt I could end up with a mate even if I found a female fox who I liked. Taiat gave Harvest a rueful smile. The look said Yes-I-know-I'm hopeless-sorry-to-bore-you. Taiat quickly recomposed himself though. What about you miss Harvest? any miniature versions of you walking around while your significant other tries to keep up? The mental image he had brought a smile to his face.
