"Then that's what I'll do" she said with a nod. walking back over to sit down at the table again, waiting for him to finish.

"is it a programing problem? becasue I'm afraid I'm rather useless in that department" she said regrettably "whats wrong with it?"

draping her jacket over her arm as she pushed herself to her feet again as he threw away his own trash.

"I doubt it. The terminal simply isn't working. At all. Its been dead for some time now."

Will motioned for Faleen to follow him. The computer room, was actually on the same floor they were on. The computers for general use anyway.

"I can't imagine what the Sandalwood branch has to deal with. They're even farther from HQ than we are."

"I wasn't even aware there was a branch in Sandalwood until recently." She admitted, hesitantly approaching the computer, she could do much with computers, but she could at least check what she knew.
First the cords, making sure everything was hooked up okay, before opening the panel, looking for any damaged hardware or something that might cause a power disruption.
"How do the outposts usually submit when they need assistance from HQ resources? from what I'm gathering the response is fairly slow?" she asked
PostPosted: Wed Sep 15, 2010 8:42 pm

"We send in requests, but as you guessed, the response is slow depending on the priority of the situation. Which, something like this, would be fairly low. Techs come every couple of months to do maintenance, but well."

Will just stood off the to the side and watched as Faleen attempted to figure out the problem with the computer. All the cords and such were in place, and nothing seemed extremely obvious... at least not to his observation. But then Will wasn't a genius when it came to electronics.

Faleen made a small noise when she didn't find anything wrong at first glance, though determined she reached for her belt, pulling off a small tool kit, that she opened up and started taking a closer look for any damage.

"I can imagine that would be frustrating" she said through her work. "Wish I knew more about computers, I could be of more help in that field... but" she paused, pulling away from the terminal, looking over at him as she put the casing back on it.
"Try it now." she said, pointing to the power button out of reach from where she was sitting on the floor.

Will pushed the button and immediately the computer beeped. Then white text scrolled across the screen quickly before a logo appeared.

"Welcome to the Team Rocket Camphoreon Outpost Database"

A login screen then appeared.

A grin spread across the red head's face. "Hey, its working! What did you do?"

"Reworked some of the wiring, though you might want to dust it out in there, I wouldn't be surprised if it shorts something before to long" she suggested, putting her tools back and standing to look at the computer, surprised thats all that it needed, she was lucky, if it was anything else she wouldn't have been able to help.

She smiled at the computer, reaching out to pat it "well good,"
Looking back over to Will with soft huff of breath. raising her eyebrows after strapping the tool kit to her hip again. one hand resting casually over the pokeballs on her thigh. "was there anything else you wanted me to look at?"

"Eh..." Will looked down at the computer again, then back to Faleen. "I'll pass that on."

Her question gave the grunt pause as he tried to think of something else, although nothing pressing really came to mind. "Not really, unless you're eager to fix a shorted out light fixture or something." It was mostly just little stuff that people hadn't gotten around to yet. Although Will didn't claim to be a handy man, and that wasn't in his job description either.

Faleen chuckled softly "I might be that desperate, and its not like I have anything else to do today." spending the day fixing up loose odds and ends sounded pretty interesting to her.
she put her hands on her hips and glanced around the room again "what kind of stuff do you guys do when your off duty? being in the city do you guys get time to go out?"
HQ was in a desert, it was nice and quiet, but there wasn't to much to do around that aria, unless you took a trip to one of the towns over, and that could sometimes take a while.

Will chuckled as well and rolled his shoulders. "Okay, if you're really up to it. I can't complain."

He was a little surprised by the question though as he led the way out of the computer room.

"Sometimes. We're a skeleton crew here so we probably don't get as much off time as you guys do at HQ. The shifts are long and days off are more often spent sleeping in. Sometimes I go to the beach though or take a stroll around town."

Faleen tilted her head a little, thinking back, remembering the beach he must be talking about, and the town. She knew what he was talking about.
"I see, must be wearing after a while" keeping busy was one thing, but standing around on guard duty for hours every day... that didn't sound the least bit appealing.
"But, hard work is rewarding"
She wasn't sure what else she could say, but follow him to her next little fix it task.
"It must be so strange living under the nose of all these people, being so close to a city filled with cops."
PostPosted: Sun Oct 03, 2010 6:56 pm

Will sighed and gave Faleen a slight smile. "Its is, but it pays and that's what really matters."

The next question drew pause but again he just rolled his shoulders. "Yeah kinda, but we're well hidden down here so I'm not worried." He smirked a little. "In fact I actually like it. Knowing that the cops have no idea what's really going on."

He took her down a hallway to where there was some noticeable darkness. "Ah here it is. I think it must have shorted out. Tried replacing the bulb and it sparked at me." He pointed to the burn mark on the ceiling next to the light. He could change lightbulbs but an electrician Will certainly was not.

Hearing that, Faleen had to admit she was a little taken aback. her surprise was apparent with a look at with, eyebrows raised for a moment, before she had time to further think about what he had said.
He had said he was here for a pay check, she had recalled that.
She so rarely thought about money, and it was so different to why she was a part of Team Rocket.
Her eyebrows relaxed again, deciding it wasn't really that surprising.
Instead she made an amused humming at the next statement, being under the nose of the cops and them having no idea.
"That does sound like it adds some pleasant spice to life. have you had any close calls yet?"

Stepping forward, her eyes instantly running over the burn marks,
She didn't even hesitate as she stepped forward "is there any way we can turn power off to this aria?" she asked first, being cautious about what she touched.

"Heh... No not really. Unless you call getting my a** kicked by a trainer, a close call. The only close call I've had with the cops was that raid I attended."

There was a little sheepish grin when he admitted he'd lost rather badly to a trainer.

"Yeah, hold on." Will moved down the hall a ways and opened the door to a metal box that was set in the wall. Flipping a breaker switch, he then nodded towards Faleen. "That should do it."

"A trainer?" she asked, glancing up at him while she pulled out a couple of tools from her case. "Some of them can be pretty strong from what I hear, more reason to get that Charizard sorted out, next time you'll be able to drive them into the ground instead." She frowned a little, finally holding up what looked like the right tool for the job. "here we go"

Finding something to Stand on, she paused before standing up, handing will her tool kit to hold before getting to work, using a small flashlight to see what she was doing as she inspected the wiring for damage.

remaining quiet for a time, remember the mission that he had brought up, she tilted her head again. "That was a disaster, it seemed to easy in the beginning, I guess that really is a warning sign for trouble." she signed softly, "were you wounded on that mission?"
