"Different would be a good way to describe it," Kadayon agreed with a nod. Add in the fact that his mother had had him shortly after she'd Impressed, giving her a baby and a baby dragon. But that would be a story for another day. The candidate was much more interested in Tia's take on the Weyr, new as she was. At the mention of carved veggies he couldn't help but snorts. "Potato portraits? It would be a nice touch for sure. I may be able to be talked into eating more veggies if they were carved into little dragons or something." Maybe. Just maybe. Kadayon made no promises.
They hard just started getting into the good stuff – the candidate was eager to learn what Tia had problems with – when A'air decided it was time to start the lesson. "We'll talk later," Kadayon promised before quieting down, all ears for the Candidatemaster. It was old hat – he'd done these lessons long enough to have a good idea what they'd involve – but that didn't mean he shouldn’t pay attention. At the very least he'd get to know a few more of his classmates in the process.
It was Winderick, the "other boy", that piped up first, but his answer was good. Kadayon nodded his head approvingly, and continued to as more answers came in. Good.

"I would think that the most important thing to take care of on or for your dragon would be their mental health? After all, if you are in a state or your dragon is upset, it can lead to terrible accidents. After that, their skin. Cracked hide is a bad thing." Canoake waited to answer the question. She knew a few things about dragon care, not only from being a weyr brat, but also for being on good terms with several dragon riders.
She looked over and saw K'la's son, Kadayon sitting off to one side. She had never really spoke to the boy before nor did she care to start. Unless it proved useful. Still observing the class, she waited for A'air to respond or move on.
