Ixen looked over at Doku. The older fox seemed to be thinking his question over. This might be an interesting time to see what his past was like, maybe then I can understand him more. What other tribes have you seen or heard about? Even as he said that he though of Yuki. The gray fox had had a hard like how did Yuki view the world... mmm.. I'll ask that the next time I see him...

"Some where happy and close others where dark and not something I would want to raise my kits in. Some had members very bubbly I guess you could say. I would more than likely end up killing them if I was with them on a daily bases." Doku said. He could deal with overly happy people but not for long periods of time or unless he was happy himself.

Ixen raised an eyebrow. A dark tribe that might not be the place for kits. Most would lump Cruor in with that category without thinking based on who the tribe leader was and didn't know of Sin's soft spot for kits. Doku must have really looked at the other tribes if he decided that those weren't the kind of places for kits. As for bubbly tribes.. well certainly they couldn't all be bubbly could they? How would anything get done? And how many would be killed if they met foxes like Doku? Then again I couldn't stand happy yappy foxes all day either, Ixen scolded himself.
Ixen tried to come up with one of the many questions he had for Doku. You mentioned a mate before? What is sh.. what are they like? Ixen didn't want to seem judgmental if Doku had a male for a mate.. after all Ixen had Yuki.

Doku sighed at the fox "Yes my mate is female and I still dont know what to think about and your mate. I will more than likely get grumpy if I see to much lovey dovey stuff but I do that anyways." Doku said warning the fox that he would more than likely snap. His thoughts turned back to Unia. "My mate is a precious little thing. She is very sweet, acts like a kit sometimes, stumbles and studders, a bit hyper and very much one of a kind."

Ixen shrugged. We are a mated pair just like any other pair. We hunt and look after each other. I have no doubt we'll fight at some point, but I hope we don't kill each other when that happens. Ixen grinned at Doku's comment about snapping. Some how he figured Doku would snap at any couple that was being overly lovey dovey, not just male pairings.
She sounds like a good fox for you. Somehow Ixen felt like this female mellowed Doku out. Kind of like the way Yuki made Ixden feel responsible and strong. It was strange to think of Yuki being older then him, yet acting so young... maybe Doku's mate was Ixen's version of Yuki?

Doku just stared at Ixen for awhile and than shook his head. This fox was odd thats for sure. But as Doku thought about what Ixen said about Unia he had to kind of agree "She certainly does something"

Ixen looked at Doku the fox gave him and odd look then slowly seemed to retreat into his own head for a bit. Ixen let this go on for a moment then figured he should say something. Standing and just staring seemed rude. Something on your mind? A question for me perhaps?

"No nothing of real importance. Or of matter." He said before getting up and moving again sniffing the he began to look for some game to maybe kill and bring back to the celebration.

Ixen watched Doku head out for a moment before getting up and following at an unobtrusive distance. If he had more questions he would ask them. Off to his left he heard a rustling in the bushes. He snapped into a defensive position before even thinking. He made a noise somewhere between a growl and yip to get Doku's attention. Be it prey or foe he didn't want Doku to be blindsided.

Doku whirled around hearing Ixen call. He instantly hackles up and was growling while baring his teeth. He stalked toward the bushes wondering what it was.

Slowly out of the bush slither snakes. It was an entire adder nest in the bush! Doku back away. Those are quite poisonous. Ixen started to slowly back away from the snakes keeping his eyes open for agitated ones. It was odd to see so many snakes in one bush.. more and more just kept coming out.

Doku kept watching snakes come and come. Ignoring Ixen's words he found a rather large stick and dropped it infront of the snakes and ontop of some. He than decided it would be best get his tail out of there.

Ixen wanted to strangle Doku? What was that moron doing? Following Doku Ixen snapped at him. What were you thinking you have BRCs remember? Ixen wanted to throttle Doku for putting unborn kits at risk.
(i though Doku still had them on if not let me know and i'll edit the post.)

Ixen was still bristling. even if the BCRs were moved up the older fox shouldn't have put them in danger. Then you yell at me to slow them down. Don't put kits in danger. Ah d***! Ixen suddenly realized that with that many snakes around it would only be a matter of time until they found their way to the base and threatened a kit. I have to plug the hole and kill most of the snakes. d***, d***, d***
