A young girl entered the tower of the Hokage. “I am here as you requested.” The girl said as her white headband dangled on her hips and her long dark hair floated gracefully at the air that came in from the window. The Hokage looked at the girl whit his elbows on the desk of his office and his head sitting on his hands in a resting matter as he heard her come in he glanced at her for a brief moment. “It has come to my attention, that you have improved greatly, Cecily, I must congratulate you, and you are at a very high standard.” The man said as he stood up and walked over to the chunnin. “I am going to rank you up to a jounin, more than that, to my personal body guard, but before that can happen, you must take out the people in this list, and bring me prove of what you’ve done.” Cecily, whom was overwhelmed by what had just happened only nodded to his words as she grabbed the list, she skimmed through it slightly and chose her first target. A chunnin from Suna, I guess I’ll pick this one first.” She thought as she jumped on the window and headed to the entrance of the village. There a masked man was waiting for her, who seemed to be sent by the hokage over to her. “I’m guessing you are looking for the Suna chunnin, he is over at the desert, if you hurry, and you might catch him.” The man said coldly as he left the village on to his own affairs.

The girl took a deep breath as she clung on to her blade and left the village as crossing by a thick forest and heading for the main dessert in the land of wind. She quickly passed by the forest, jumping from one tree to another until she reached the edge there, she could see the vastness of the desert. “I am never going to find him here.” She muttered as she took out a scroll and summoned a puppet, she then attached string to the puppet and made it get up a tree; he twitched her fingers as the puppet’s arm spun revealing a wind pressure gun and a gun sight, she made seals and could now see through the eye of the puppet, the range of her vision was now about 50 meters more than usual, with that she was sure to see her first target. A couple of minutes passed by as the puppet scanned the visible part of the desert until it spotted the target, she then twitched her fingers and the puppet jumped down from the tree and moved several feet to the front and took aim once more, it had a clear view of the target, Cecily then began to compare the target whit the one in her list. Gray hair, check, and a single edged broad sword. Check. She thought as she twitched her fingers slightly and the puppet shot at the man this a pressurized wind senbon aiming directly at his neck to end it swiftly; the senbon hit and the man was paralyzed on the floor, Cecily then ran up to the man and looked at him sweetly. “I’m sorry, but this was my mission.” She said as he took his weapon and hit the side of his head whit the blunt side of the weapon.

After taking down her first hit task she opened the hit list and looked at the first page. “Alright, another suna ninja, it seems this one is a gate guard.” She said as she began to walk toward Suna, she then pulled her puppet up beside her and walked through the desert, small sand twister brewed around the entire are constantly hitting the girl in a very harsh matter, so hard that one even made her fall back a few feet behind. What is this? She constantly asked herself until she felt a light cut on her cheek and jumped to the side. The sand twister turned into three now and were closing in on her fast, “Leaf violent wind!” She said as she spun her right leg at all the twisters sending three ninja back, she then took out the list as passed though and saw that all the ninja where from the village hidden in the sand. “What is this? Why are all these people from the Sand?” She exclaimed as she dropped the list. And took out her sword, she then ran toward the first man that landed on the sand, she then moved her blade in a thrusting motion and stabbed the sword in a pressure point leaving the man in agonizing pain, he then attempted to stand but Cecily knew not to underestimate the ninja on the list, they were there for a reason, she then kicked him in the nuts to assure that he would stay down, as soon as she kicked him the man assumed the fiddle position and began to cry as she looked at him in disgust. “Men, they are all weak.” She exclaimed as she took the sword she claimed as a prize earlier and sliced into the man’s abdomen and allowed the blood and some of the intestates and other organs were now visible from a good distance from the man. She then looked back and suddenly winced back in pain and her and instinctively moved her hand to her shoulder to find a kunai stabbed and blood slowly slipping down. The man who shot the kunai smirked at Cecily and ran toward her as he drew the katana on his left hip, Cecily took the kunai in beaded in her shoulder and shot it over to the man’s foot, she then jumped and stepped on the man’s face and stabber her blade on his neck severing his spine and doing a automatic kill to the man.


All that was left was the other guy, he looked different than the two she killed off, this one looked, more experienced, instead of running in head first the man stayed in one place analyzing for any slip ups on the girl, looking for what was her weakness. “No, ninjutsu, I think I got it now.” The man muttered as he made seals and shot a fire ball jutsu at the girl, she smirked at his attempt to kill her, but she simply activated her three tomoe sharingan and jumped out of the way. “You just can’t beat me, I’m that good.” She told the guy as the fireball burned the two corpses. She then took the broad sword which had been slightly burned and tossed it over to the enemy hoping that he would catch it. Instead of catching it the man kicked it to the side and ran to the girl until he noticed her sharingan, No jutsu whit this one. he thought as he took out two katana’s, the man then swung the two blades cutting the small grains of sand that flew on the air, he then jumped behind the girl and attempted to slash her from behind, but thanks to her sharingan her reaction time was enough to dodge it by clashing both of the katana with her sword. “ Pressure palm” She said as he punched the man’s face knocking him back a few feet, she then reached for her alchemic flame gloves that were on her right pocket, she put one on her left hand and snapped her fingers slightly causing an explosion that killed the man.


Cecily put away the puppet that was behind her all along just in case things went downhill for more than an instant. She then took the broad sword and left the same way she came in, through the forest. Halfway on the forest she took off her glove and placed it on her pocket with the other one, she then trailed into the village dragging the massive blade on her back, and she then walked into the hokage’s office and placed the broad sword of the chunnin along with the list “Here.” She said as she crossed her arms. “Where is the rest of the prove, although it says you killed all of them, you only brought me one weapon, not all four.” The hokage said as he looked at her furiously. “I’m sorry, but I can only promote you to a special jounin status.” He said as Cecily glared at him “Very well….” She muttered as she left the office.

It was a dark and stormy night, and the forest was lit only by the occasional flash of lightning. A lone man could be seen in those briefest of moments, running for his life. This man was a spy sent by a rival village to steal vital information about Konoha’s battle formations, in the upcoming battle. Unfortunately for the man, his cover was blown as he was leaving. The few ANBU members that had chased after him were swiftly defeated when he activated his Kekkai Genkai and trapped them within crystals. “Ha-ha! Now they’ll never catch me. With these plans, Kusagakure will be victorious and we will gain our rightful place as one of the great five! Maybe, just maybe, I may get that promotion I have been dreaming about for so long.” The man gloated to himself.

“Oh? And how will they ever receive those plans?” a male voice said. Spinning around, the spy could see the outline of a large man beside one of the many trees. A flash of lightning suddenly lit the area and the speaker was revealed. A tall and rotund man stood with brown armor plating of an archaic style over a dark green tunic. His headband displayed his proud allegiance to Konoha, as the ends fluttered in the wind. The unique facial markings and his large body size were a dead giveaway that the man in question was an Akimichi. The fact that said Akimichi was able to catch up to him so easily and not be noticed by him, was all the information the spy required to recognize his newest opponent. This man was Akimichi Chouki, the Sanin of Konoha, The Leaf’s own Avalanche, and premier user of Doton ninjutsu and Taijutsu.

“If I take your head, it shall reward me with great renown throughout the nations!” The Kusagakure ninja stated before forming several hand seals. “Crystal Release: Wild dance of Shuriken!” A strange pink aura began to form around him and suddenly took the form of hundreds of shuriken. Throwing his arms out towards the Sanin, the shinobi launched them in the hope of killing or even slowing him down. “Do you honestly believe that you have the capability to defeat me? Don’t make me laugh! Nikudan Hari Sensha!” Chouki stated as his body grew and became a large ball, his hair growing and providing an increase in defense and offense. The ball began spinning in place before charging through the hail of crystal shuriken. The crystals shattered as they impacted upon his powerful, rotating form. He barreled down upon his opponent who swiftly began another jutsu. “Crystal release: Crystal Barrier!”

A dome of crystal appeared blocking Chouki’s path to his target. Never the less, he continued his attack burrowing deep into the crystal, slowing down as he did. Piercing through, he came to a stop within what now resembled a dome covered arena before turning back to normal size. “You made it through!? No matter, this next technique shall deal with you, Crystal release: Crystal Dragon no jutsu!” A large dragon, roughly the size of an eighteen wheeler and made entirely of crystal, came charging towards Chouki. Molding his chakra and running through the necessary hand seals, The Akimichi slapped his hands to the ground performing his own technique, “Doton: Shindoryuudan no jutsu!”

Normally, the technique would be used to attack an enemy shinobi from beneath him. Chouki, however, was using it in a far more devious manner. As the crystal dragon approached him, a bronze dragon made of earth rocketed from the ground and impacted into its belly, exploding as it did so. This caused a large part of the crystal dragon to fall off and smash into the ground kicking up dust, while the rest of it was redirected into the wall. Running towards his opponent, Chouki leaped over the remains of the crystal dragon and through the dust cloud. “Bubun Baika no jutsu!” he declared as his now rapidly enlarging arm and fist came rocketing towards his opponent in an attempt to smash him against the wall.

“Crystal release: Crystal armor!” The spy was able to let out before he was smashed against the wall. “I’m not even close to being done yet!” Chouki yelled, as he grabbed his opponent and tossed him into the air before punching him into the ceiling. As his arm turned back to its normal size, he could see that the crystal armor had just barely saved his target from death, but now he was in mid air rapidly closing with the ground. “Doton: Shindoryuudan no jutsu!” Chouki said as he slapped his hands to the ground. Once again a bronze dragon launched itself towards his target with immense force.

The Kusa-nin was in extreme pain but he wasn’t willing to lose his life so easily. “Crystal release: Crystal Prison Jutsu.” he said as a tee-pee of crystal surrounded the earthen dragon and caused it to detonate prematurely. The shock wave knocked Chouki off his feet and caused the Kusa-nin to be launched towards the wall where he was able to catch himself. As he stood up from the ground, his opponent appeared in front of him in a swirl of crystal. “No, don’t get up on my behalf. Crystal release: Crystal Coffin Jutsu!” Chouki raised his arms in a cross-shaped block with his palms facing outwards in a seemingly attempt to block the crystals heading towards him. Quickly, they covered every inch of his body preventing him from moving let alone speaking. “Ha-ha! Yes! I have defeated the unstoppable Avalanche of Konoha! Now, everyone will acknowledge me, as one of the greatest shinobi to have ever lived.”

Within the crystal prison a very slight movement could be seen. The crystal using shinobi was completely unaware, as he was busy gloating about what he thought he had accomplished. In reality, he had failed because he, not only underestimated the power and skill of a Sanin, but overestimated the extent of his own abilities. In the moments before he was captured, Akimichi Chouki had been able to cover himself in a fine layer of chakra preventing him from trapping him completely. As if this guy knows what mess he has really gotten himself into. Guess I’ll just have to show him. Hachimon Tonkou: Daiich Kaimon: Kai! Dainii kyumon: Kai! Daisan Seimon: Kai! Suddenly cracks began forming all along the crystal prison. By now, the spy had noticed a large built up of chakra and spun around to see his crystal breaking apart. “It can’t be possible! How?!” he said in disbelief. Daiyome Shoumon: Kai! With the opening of the fourth gate and the release of even greater chakra, the prison shattered. Releasing what appeared to be a red skinned, god of war, whom promptly opened the next gate. “Hachimon Tonkou: Daiboute Tomon: Kai!” He roared out, His chakra bursting from his body creating a large aura, before launching himself towards his target. The speed he traveled at was even greater than the speed of sound and in an instant he was upon his foe. Pummeling his fist into the shinobi, he sent him flying back before he followed it up with Kage buyo and kicked his opponent high up into the air. Appearing behind him he began the Ura Renge and utilizing the walls of the dome as platforms, smashed into his opponent multiple times. Five, ten, twenty, thirty times he hit his opponent with punches, kicks and even knees and elbows , before smashing an empty palm into his opponents sternum. As he connected his palm strike, he grabbed a piece of cloth there. His opponent rocketed towards the ground, but before he could hit, he was yanked back up and smashed with a double fist. The Kusa-nin smashed into the ground near-death, blood gushing from his mouth. His last view was of the Akimichi Sanin using Nikudan Hari Sensha to slam into and grind his body into the ground.

Returning back to normal size and closing the gates, Chouki searched the pulped corpse for the information he had stolen. Finding it within a torn satchel, he left to report back to the Hokage. Arriving back at camp, He quickly headed towards the command tent. “Sir, I have dealt with the spy and retrieved the information he had laid his filthy hands upon.” Chouki said, passing the scroll to the Hokage. Reading over the scroll, the Hokage nodded before leading the Sanin over to the map. Pointing out an area in the northwest quadrant he spoke,” Good work. It appears he was heading towards an outpost located around here. I will be sending a squad of chunin led by a jonin to deal with that.” Chouki looked on as he outlined his plan of attack. “Unfortunately I have another mission for you; the enemy has laid traps along the cliff face…” As the Hokage explained his next mission, Chouki couldn’t help but hope this war would be over soon, so he could go have some baby back ribs.

but, i will limit the ranks to jounin, special jounin, and chuunin. genin will be provided to the first two members who joins akatsuki that haven't applied for the auto ranks mentioned above. (remember, you will have to be good enough to join akatsuki) i'm saving sannin for a couple of weeks until i'm sure that someone is capable. ninja

Footsteps could be heard echoing through the base as the newest akatsuki member Kay Came into the common room. His red cloak waved slowly behind him as he took a seat at the large community table. The others were off on missions, but he was left here on guard duty. He thought back to when he went rogue, having murdered another ninja, and then summoned Relic, a dragonfly, who got him outta there with great speed. Now he was around others who accepted him for his outlooks and violent mindset. Still he would be fine if no one accepted him, but it was great that his new family did.

At anyrate, a team of three ninja gathered at the bases entrance. Kay didn't know this until they came knocking at the door. It was unfortunate that he was unaware until the door was actually opened, them having used clones to open it more easily. The loud bang made Kay jump into action, the tengu statue behind him as he stood on his finger. "Why did you follow me here?" Kay yelled out to them as the three stared him down. "Why won't you all find another man to harass?" Kay asked. The three ninja jumped without a word at first, doing hand seals and shooting fire from their mouths at him.

He was forced to jump down before they hit him, and stared with blood in his eyes. "You killed Kimiko!" they yelled to him as he bit into his thumbs. He smirked wryly at them, and did seals. The reason he was accepted into akatsuki was for his unique summons and skills in using them. He slapped the ground and smoke rose all around him. "Kuchiyose, no JUTSU!" He yelled as Killer Bee started laughing while his wings began to blow away the dust and he rose into the air. Kay stayed on the ground while they stared at the flying monster. "She had it coming, she laughed.. at me," Kay said as he smiled. "She called me a freak. SHE SCREAMED WHEN I WAS..." he began as he caught a swift kick to the gut suddenly. He flew back and crashed into the wall, blood trailing from his mouth. He stood up, chakra becoming visible as he began to do handseals. "Assassins rush!" he roared as he flew right past the ninja towards one of the men on the tengu statues fingers. He speared him into the wall. He felt bones snappping as he did it, which made him notice a couple of his were broken as well. He picked up the man he speared and punched him off the statue. "You fools, Killer Bee!" he yelled as the wasp aimed his stinger at the men under him. A barrage of needles fired at them, each one scattereing to get away as Killer wasp laughed.

"Kay, are tehse enemies or target practice?" it roared landing on the ground and roaring at them. Kay said nothing, focusing as the man he speared began to heal himself. "So your a medic?" Kay asked cracking his knuckles. He jumped from his position and did a few more seals, rushing towards him again. He aimed his foot at his neck as he flew at an insane speed, the ninja dodging last second as Kay rolled across the ground. The medic gathered chakra into his hands as he tried for a punch. Kay ducked and tried for a Kick, which the medic caught, and began swingin Kay around.
"Restless you are," Kay said donig handseals as he was thrown at the wall again. Ttypically, he didn't do many jutsu, rather dodging and striking or using his summons as his weapons, which Killer bee was doing well. AS they attacked him with some powerful taijutsu, he indeed was knock back, but he took off, flying and then trying for a barrage of missles.
At anyrate, Kay used propelling wings to flyupward, catching himself against the wall with all the momentum and flew towards the medic, who braced for impact as Kay thre a kunai at his head. WHile the ninja was forced to block that, Kay fell on him with another kunai in his hands. He stabbed in the sternum and twisted, leaving the kunai there as Kilelr be was assaulted by fire type jutsu, barely able to dodge them. He suddenly unsommuned the great beast and let the ninja run towards him, still trying to ignore the pain of having two ribs snapped. He painfully jumped and snapp kicked them both at once, hitting the ground and running from the base suddenly.
He bit his thumb once more, a suprise would be waiting when they exited the base. "Kuchiyose no jutsu," he said as he slapped the ground and smoke rushed out in all directions. The silouhette of a mantis inside it.
"Helllo Kay, it is great to see you," it said as Kay stood under it.
"So you want to play summon eh?" Kay was asked by the survivors. They each buit their thumbs and summoned A toad equal in size to Jabber, and a snake as well.

"So you come to my new hime, break my bones, yet regard me as an enemy?" Kay asked quietly, "Well then, let's go!" He roared as the summons went at it and sod did they. Kay narrowly dodged a kick flying towards his head and a punch by jumping over them both, and spun as he hit the ground, sweep kicking them both. They recovered quickly, one of them trying for a punch. "THis is for kimiko!" he roared as his fist connected with Kay's face, sending him flying backwards back into the base. The other ninja was over him in a scond, stomping his chest. "And that was for Mich!" he roared as Kay grabbed his foot, twisting it and rising with a swift upper cut. He did more handseals and inhaled deeply as the enemies reached for something. The nemy ninja tried to throw paper bombss at him, to no avail, as he blew air theat blew the explosions backwards and renderging them use less while pushing back the enemy ninja. into the wall. He caught his breath as the crawled out of the set in molds they made in the wall. Kay dashed towards them with another kunai as one of the ninja ran at him with tears in his eyes. He spun, slicing off his hand and then stabbing him in the chest, then violently ripping out the kunai and side kicking him into the other ninja, who was horrfied. Jabbed sliced a larger howl into the oppening and tossed the dead frog and decapitatde snake inside.

The sole survivor crawled backwards, Kay walking towards him with the bloody kunai. The first one to go, or so Kay though, suddenly hit him so hard he nearly cried as he flew face first into a wall. He cralwed out, the mantis preparing a jutsu, and frowned at the man with the hole in his chest. Jabber swung his arms, a long blade flying rightnthrough the dying ninja's middle section and disembowling him. Kay threw the kunai at the last man standing, ending him fast and with respect that he had survived that long. Just then the akatsuki leade stepped in as the three summons disappeared. "Look at that, leave him at hiome for one second and he levels the place!" another member said as Kay fell unconcious due to his injuries...

He woke up a few days later fully regenerated, and in the middle of an assault by enemy ninja. He jumped from his seated position and walked into the warzone very casually. "Sleep for a few days and the place goes all to heck," Kay said doing handseals and biting both of his thumbs. He slapped the ground with each one, a summoning seal appearing on the ground, and suddenly a lot of dust and dirt was thrown into the air. "LEaf ninja, meet the queen..." Kay said as he sat on her head and the other akatsuki members stood on her body. One of them blew open the ceiling with a fire jutsu, and she rose into the air.

"Kay, lovely to see you again, how do you do?" she asked as eggs began to drop into the base. Screams would be heard as large bees would hatch fully grown.
"Very well Queen, how is the elder?" Kay asked as more ninja, leaf shinobi and their allies, began to come after them as well.
"Upset that you didn't summon him yet today," she said as the other members jumped down from her back and launched a counter attack. Queen landed, Kay jumping off and biting his index fingers. "Kuchiyose," he said said twice as two more bee like creatures, large as well, appeared. Killer bee, I yellow jacket like wasp and whisper, a wise old bee. In the akatsuki, his job was like the female pain. He simply was to summon creatures to combat other summons.

His job became apparent as three large toads, One blue, one purple and one red, but not gamabunta, appeared. While the was's weren't as big, they were fast and had an array of wind jutsu at their disposal. The blue toad jumped, as did Killer bee, and dashed towards each other. "I hate toads! This is years of payback!" he roared colliding with the toad. As they both fell to the ground, wasp spread his wings and took off, shooting needles and air explosion jutsu at him. Queen bee rose from the ground slowly, menacingly, as the middle toad hopped a great height over him. She just barely dodged his swift attack as he came down with his blade, and Kay had to move or be crushed. Ninja surrounded him suddenly, his shoulders slumped low and his eyes moving over each one of them. A ttwisted smile drew itself on as they launched their attack. Kay ducked under the first attack, and jabbed his elbow into the mans ribs, more cracking of ribs making him smile, and then he side kicked him again, causing him to faint as his ribs punctured lungs and other vitals. Kay jumped into the air as a blade flew just under his foot, and he landed on his sword. He grabbed his head, and then kicked a man who tried to come to his aid as Kay pulled him off his feet and pile drove him into the ground.

As he resurfaced from the ground, he got annoyed that more kept going and bit into his right and left middle fingers. "Kuchiyose!" he yelled as Relic, the dragonfly, and Wrecker, the scorpion, appeared. He jumped on Relic as she took off and they left the mean to deal with the scorpion summon.The three toads had been overwhelmed and knocked out by Queen and Whisper, while Killer Bee continued to attack their unconcious bodies... He unsummoned the three of them and then scorpion as well as two sages stood before him. on the ground. Relic held steady, her wings sounding like a helicopter.
"Kay, those two are sages, the monkey sage and the toad sage," she warned him, "And It looks as though while they were down their they used their sage modes!"
"Not only that, we also managed to do this right in front of yoU!" the monkey sage called as they both slapped the ground, Enma and Gamabunta appearing suddenly. Kay was taken aback as Enma jumped, but speedy relic easily got out of the way and rose to high for them. All the while, Kay stood comppletely still as his chakra blanaced with the chakra around him. "Sage mode active," he whispered as dragon fly wings sprouted and his eyesight became much better thanks to his new compound eyes.
He bit all the rest of his fingers quickly as Relic was unsommuned and he hovered. "You wanted a fight? Well you have one, LET's GO!" Kay roared dashing towards the ground and summoning The elder spider. Enma dashed towards him as Gamabunta did handseals.
"Here we go, gama! I told you we'd meet again!" he roared jumping far above both attacks, and then laughing as Enma jumped towards him and was smakced away like a fly by his attacks. Kay caught the monkey sages hand and foot and fle into the air, swinging his body around and tossing him, then flying past his body and kicking him down. A fire style jutsu just missed as the toad sage fired blast after blast and one of them connected. Kay hit the ground on fire and rolled, p-utting out the flames.
He got up and did handseals, flying ten times faster towards him and using his strength to punch him through a group of treees without even fully connecting with him, and then turning to face the Monkey sage.
The spider shot a web at gama, which restricted him enough for him to jump and tackle him, about to sink his fangs into the toad when Enma knocked him over. The sipder shot web after web at the monkey who continued to dodge until he got close enough to drop kick the spider.
"Enma! You demon!" the spider yelled as he recovered and smacked him away with his arms.
"Me a demon? You are the one fighting for the enemy!"
"Enemy to you, friend to me," the spider yelled as Kay appeared on his head, and the toad sage on gamabunta. Enma stood behind his summoner as each sage did handseals. "Steroid blank!" Kay yelled as the wind around him went into his body and he fired a powerful blast that sent enma flying into the gigantic toad, and then the spider launched himself at the now unprepared ninja. The war died down as the akatsuki each stood on ofne of the old elders legs. "We need to find a new base..." the leader said as Kay resummoned Queen bee and Whisper and unsommuned the spider, low on chakra, he fell asleep as they all relocated.

Well I didn't hit the bench mark of 1500, but I wanted to show how a sanin or at least jounin level ninja would fight. I believe I have shown, to the best of my capabilities, a very detailed and envisioning sample. If I fail to make sanin I will gladly take whatever rank you feel comfortable with in any village.

This is actually just a post I wrote in one of my other guilds, but I think that it'll make a pretty good rp sample, keep in mind I was a genin at this point, which is why I get my arse handed to me, I kind of want to go to Kumo, but at the same time I want the Gobi soooooo... yeah, here's my rp sample thingy... oh and it's 1108 words

Kai arrived on the scene, the hunter-nin's clone traveling silently beside him. Kai constantly glanced over his shoulder at the shadowy man, his very presence unnerving. Kai didn't know much about the hunter-nins, but he did know that of the few he had met, they all seemed to scream, "Do not F**k with me...", well maybe not scream, but the point was clear.

As Kai arrived on the edge of a nearby village he stopped, examining the area in front of him. The village was quiet, and as he listened more closely he realized that even the animals of the forest had fallen silent. Moving forward cautiously, Kai put gripped the hilts of his blades, readying himself for any trouble. The hunter-nin's clone walked slowly behind him, its eyes scanning the area with the practiced eye of an experienced shinobi.

As Kai continued through the village gates he stopped, his eyes growing wide. Falling to his knees, Kai put a hand to his mouth to try and keep himself retching. Lifting his head once more, Kai's whole body began to shake with emotion at the sight before him. Bodies littered the street, villagers with their throats slit, blood pooling around their cold corpses; bodies pinned to the sides of houses, spears and swords pierced through their bodies, left to die a slow death.

"Katon: Housenka no Jutsu!", a voice cried out from the side. Kai glanced to the side just in time to see a barrage of small fireballs hurtling towards him. There was no time to move, no time escape the attack; lifting his hands up in an attempt to shield himself from the deadly assault, Kai closed his eyes and awaited his fate. In a flash of movement the hunter-nin clone stepped in front of him, taking the full brunt of the attack and protecting Kai from harm, but in so doing the clone was dispersed, Kai would not be saved again.

Opening his eyes as he heard the hiss of fire hitting water, Kai realized that he had been saved, pushing himself off the ground, Kai quickly ran behind the cover of a nearby house, narrowly avoiding several more fireballs. Kai's breathing quickened, his heart racing as fear induced adrenaline began to pump through his veins. Looking around the corner, Kai caught a glimpse of the one that had attacked him. It was a large man, an evil grin playing on his face as he moved forward slowly, a large axe in hand.

Looking forward once more, Kai eyes widened as he saw the blade of a sword hurtling towards his head. Falling quickly to the ground, Kai barely managed to avoid the blade, but he had also left himself open, a mistake made apparent when he felt the hard boot of his assailant drive into his side, sending him rolling across the ground several feet, driving the air from his lungs forcefully. Gasping for breath, Kai tried desperately to refill his lungs with oxygen, but he managed to keep his wits enough to rise to his feet so that he could have some small chance to defend himself.

His vision blurry, Kai could barely make out the second assailant as he yanked his sword free from the wood siding of the house he had slammed the blade into. Glancing to his side, Kai could see the first attacker propping his axe up on his shoulder, walking forward slowly with a self-assured confidence. As his eyes began to come back into focus and his lungs stopped burning from a lack of oxygen, Kai drew his blades, glancing between his two assailants, his eyes still wide with panic.

The first attacker then chuckled softly to himself as he pointed behind Kai. Looking at the man confusedly, Kai's eyes then grew wide once more as he spun around just in time to see the foot of yet a third assailant come sailing towards his chest. Kai flew to the side, losing grip of his swords as sailed through the air, his body screaming in protest at the abuse it was taking. Skipping across the ground, Kai finally came to a stop with a thud as he slammed into the side of a house, air being expelled forcefully from his lungs once more.

The second attacker then rushed forward bellowing wildly as he reveled in the chance to land the killing blow that he had missed earlier. Kai scrambled to rise to his feet, but he just couldn't manage to regain his footing, his equilibrium having been thrown off balance when he hit the wall. As the man drew nearer, his blade held high as he readied himself to strike, Kai mind was clouded by an uncontrollable fear as thoughts of his eminent demise began to rush through his head. Time seemed to slow as the man that would be Kai's death continued forward, his weapon held aloft, an evil grin spread across his face.

This can't be it..., Kai thought to himself as he watched in disbelief as imminent death came rushing towards him, bellowing at the top of its lungs, its axe held aloft, this can't be how it ends. I've only just begun to walk my path, it can end like this, it can't end this soon, not hear, not now. "NOT YET!", Kai cried out in defiance.

Da-dum... a noise like the beat of the drum sounded all around Kai, as time seemed to come to a complete halt. Da-dum... the beating sounded again as the world began to grow black, everything seeming to fade away. Da-dum... the sounded the beat once more as a voice called out from all sides, its tone calm and knowing, "this need not be the end, child..." Da-dum... "I can help you..." Da-dum... "All you have to do is ask it..." Da-dum... "Release my power, and I can save your life..." Da-dum... the drumming resounded, louder now, a note of finality about it. Then a great eye opened in front of Kai, a pool of shifting color, amorphous and random. "RELEASE ME!", the voice cried out as the eye opened all the wider, before disappearing entirely, returning back to reality, back to the man that was rushing forward to end his life.

Kai could feel a power rising within him, as his eyes began to change, becoming two amorphous pools of constantly shifting color. Kai's mouth almost seemed to move of its own volition as a whisper began escape his lips, "Hou-"

That was plenty good enough for the gobi, so get the gobi and join my village. :3
