Out Of Coffee:: Sorry it's so short. I gotta' head into work early tonight. I don't know when I'll be able to post tomorrow guys, so just watch out for me. xD

I can't tell you what it {really is}, I can only tell you what it feels like
And right now there's a steel k n i f e in my windpipe
I can't breath but I still fight while I can fight
As long as the wrong feels right its like I'm in flight

Ladon glanced to the dark female in front of him, if he were human a smile would touch his lips, ”Eh, well, in truth no. When I was out in the wild I was never fond of seeing other dragons and tried my best to avoid it. So, I’m afraid she a new site for me.” Ladon’s light blue orbs traveled back to the dragon in the distance, such a rare find to him, not to say she wasn’t a beautiful site by any means. His head tilted a bit, a young male human stepped out of the dorms and lovingly caressed the dragon’s birdlike face. The male seemed have a special connection with the female, his face expressed his enjoyment by her company. For a moment though, he was taken aback by the fact that she was staring back in their direction. Glancing down to his pact mate and the group of human’s around, wondering if they even noticed.

Ladon looked back down to Cassandra and nudged her a bit,
”We might have company in a minute.”Before Cassandra could reply, it seems that they had already arrived, however. Her dark blue eyes looked over the tattooed male in question. He definitely was attractive and one of the few men around with that many tattoos. As he spoke out a simple hello, Cassandra smiled in his direction and gave him a nod, ”Good morning, too you. Welcome to hell.” She giggled softly for a moment and sighed, glancing back to the group for a second to make sure everyone saw who she was talking to. Ladon stood in silence for a moment, looking over the other white reptile now in their area, also giving the female counterpart a nod. ”Morning too you as well.” ladon’s eyes were bright with curiosity of the newest edition to the current group, including her pact mate. Looking down at him with a judgmental stare he studied the man. It was not often that Ladon saw human’s with that many markings. Giving the female a glance, almost as if asking silent permission, he slowly stretched his neck out in the male’s direction in order to take in some of his scent. Once the dragon was satisfied, he slowly took back his head.

Cassandra glanced up to Ladon for a few seconds with a smile,
”What’s the matter, Ladon? Confused by the feathers or are you even more interested than that?” Ladon blatantly ignored his pack mate for the time being besides nudging her a bit with his head. Looking over the group once more he stood in silence, waiting for everyone to introduce themselves to the new member.

Alora could tell that she was being studyed while the two as stopped. This white dragon seemed to take a rather interest in her. Was it the fact that she was a rare breed of dragon, or the fact that she was a female? Alora didn't know but little did it really matter. The other humans and dragon didn't seem to catch on to there presence. Though in her mind, she could feel Lucas' interest and hidden excitement about being around some fair looking female humans. Through their bond, Alora let out a sigh "Men.."
She then turned to look to this white dragon. "Good morning." Alora replied but with no real emotions behind it. Though she was slightly interested, it was only slightly. In her mind, the dragon was just another new face and she would treat him like all other new faces, with little emotion and small social conversation.

Though Lucas was in a different place then his dragon. Despite only trully each other knew the true hearts that are hidden away from the world, Lucas allowed himself to show slightly his true self. He couldn't help but chuckle to the statement of the beautiful young miss infront of him. "Mourning to you, Name's Lucas." He said upfront, maybe a bit bold, but who really would care. Then he heard a sudden grunt behind him. "Whoops, sorry." He then smirked and pointed his thumb behind him, "And that's Alora." Alora simply bowed her head to the group, or who ever was paying attention.

Then came this curios white dragon wishing for a sniff, Alora allowed it. Though she also cocked her head back a bit, ready to strike on a moments notice. Her rare race are known for their speed, and Alora was no different. When it came to protecting, she would move faster then lighting if something happened. And though she was small to be a combat dragon, there was much more bite then bark. Lucas turned to look at this white dragon, who ever it may be. "Who's this?" He asked Alora, hoping that she already knew. "I don't know, but he is rather curios." After the dragon was done, Lucas smirked looking to the eagle like dragon behind him. "He..not getting to friendly already, are we?" "Oh shut your mouth." Lucas chuckled slightly then turned back to look at the female infront of him. He studyed her a bit but as not to stare, he turned looking at the others.

Out Of Coffee:: Good morning everyone. I'm totally failing at the whole posting thing today. Maybe I actually need to sleep today instead of stay up until 5p.m. and then sleep until 7 and stay up, huh? ^^;

I can't tell you what it {really is}, I can only tell you what it feels like
And right now there's a steel k n i f e in my windpipe
I can't breath but I still fight while I can fight
As long as the wrong feels right its like I'm in flight

Attention started to be divided among the group as this small blotch of living beings grew two specs bigger. Alora’s voice wrapped around Ladon’s mind for a moment, he nodded again, but instead of introducing himself he allowed Cassandra to do the talking for a moment since she turned a bit more to look at the new face. It helped that he showed enjoyment out of her silly statement, but the smirk he produced added a nice touch as well. ”Cassandra.” Quickly point up and back behind her, she drew attention away from her and over to her pact mate, ”Ladon. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Deep down in her mind, Cassandra began praying that she’d remember all the names she had to remember. It could possibly cause problems later on if she couldn’t. Not meaning to be rude, she looked back to the original three, but her attention was snatched by the group of girls off in the distance, loudly bickering to one another about what had happened. Shaking her head some she looked back to Lucas, ”Might wanna’ watch for that crowd. They are a bit of a pain.” She nodded into Demetri’s direction,”You can ask him for proof.” Cassandra chuckled softly for a moment and sighed.

Ladon stood in silence still, looking over the oddity before him and then glancing down to Cassandra,
”Why do you humans love to do things to your body? Look at his markings. Do you think they mean anything?” Cassandra paused for a moment, once again looking over Lucas before responding, ”They could, then again they could not mean a single thing. Human’s love to be different, that girl there, Terra, she loves to be out from the group, causing a bit of a ruckus to get her rocks off. She chooses that way in order to be different. Everyone is different in their own way.” Ladon stood in silence for a moment, it was an awkward silence, even for the giant lizard, slowly he lowered his head down, lightly resting what would be his chin onto her left shoulder. ”So… Is that why you have all of those weird… What did you call them… Piercings?” ”Having one’s ears pierced is a normal thing for humans, Ladon.” ”What about the ones you have under your--” THWACK! Ladon’s head darted off of Cassandra’s shoulder after the initial connection of her fist to his nose.”Shut it Ladon…” She murmured through tightly clenched teeth and brightly colored rose cheeks. Ladon glared down to the woman before roughly pushing her with his head, throwing her forwards into Lucas's direction, nearly making her fall to her knees. If sparks could fly between to beings in a negative way, this would probably be about one of those times you’d see them.

Straightening up, Cassandra glared at her pact mate in discontent before looking back to Lucas and sighed and stepped away, she was lucky she did not physically run into him.
"Heh... Sorry about that. We can be a bit of a bother to one another from time to time." In the end Cassandra was happy that she was the only human able to understand her large white beast.

Selda smirked as her eyes watched Landon's reaction to the other female. What a fascinating observation this would make. The mask of indifference slid into place until the new arrivals reached them, lowering her head to the new female and studying her closely. Whatever it was that she was searching for, the dragon must have found it, as she gave her a brief nod of acknowledgement and became a little warmer, in a figurative sense. There was a frigid air around Landon which was not entirely neutralized by the rising sun just yet. "You and your human friend seem to have traveled quite a long way from here. It's a pleasure to meet you." She said, making the assumption off of several factors; essentially the scent of the dragon herself, as well as the somewhat foreign markings on the human male. They told her of a place that was further to the north, although how far she was uncertain of. That was as far as her own frequent travels had managed to reveal. The rest would have to come from asking questions and the like. There was a good chance that the topic would be brought around sooner or later, so she refrained from the curious pestering for the time being.

The same sort of observations were being made by Terra, who was considerably fascinated by the newcomers. Then again, anyone who was slightly different attracted her utmost attention. In this case, the tattoos and the peculiar species of dragon seemed to be a good indicator of that.
"I'm Terra. The tall one over there is Griselda." She chirped, said dragon turning her head slightly to acknowledge Lucas before going back to her amused study of the other two reptiles. The human heard the girls from earlier again, glancing at them when Cassandra sent out the warning to Lucas. At that time, she was positively beaming, waving at the group that seemed to remain a fair distance away. Now they were starting to learn to behave a little better; or at least not to make a move while she was still in the vicinity. "Yeah, she's right about that, but I'd have to say that they make delightful cowards. It's still a bad idea to get caught in their manicured clutches though." Terra chuckled at the fresh, but fond memory of spooking them. By all means they could try again. It would hardly be her fault if it ended in a terribly foul manner after all. Unfortunately, it looked like they were more interested in conflicts among each other than picking one with her again.

The conversation was mildly interrupted as a red-faced Cassandra and her dragon scuffled for a mere moment. Whatever it was that Landon was saying, as she assumed it was something he did that earned the first strike, clearly had the other female embarrassed. Whatever the reason, it was an entertaining sight, especially with the nearly visible tension between pact mates.
"Then the two of you must have a good relationship with each other. That's nothing to be embarrassed about." She noted in a rather blunt manner, watching the pair. A scuffle every now and again was hardly something she considered a bad thing. If anything, it just proved that the two knew how to get under each other's skin because they were so close.

Demetri was rather relieved to see Terra accepting his handshake. It at least meant she held a humble or at least a modest side to her. Demetri shifted his gaze towards her scaly companion and was taken a back a bit to find her stare upon him at the moment. He drew back a step, hiding behind a nervous smile accompanied by a chuckle. "A pleasure to meet you both. Can't say I'm to familiar with Combat dragons. My friend was really the only dragon I knew growing up." That wasn't entirely true. Though he never knew what type of dragon his mother was paired with. He would've assumed a combat simply from the size of the beast. But they seemed to have an affinity for magic...It just seemed odd that a Thaumaturge could be that size.

Demetri pushed the thought down and came back to the reality that it was. He had taken Terra's advisory over the "obsessed" girls and retorted with a nod. Personally he found it rather amusing and considered milking the fun out of it while he could. Though the risk involved in that was high, and probably some long vengeful repent normally followed suit, it would be a hysterical situation for the time being. His attention drew back to the crowd upon the arrival of a newcomer and his...feathery?...companion. Demetri stood a bit bewildered by the male's pact mate. He wasn't even aware dragons varied much beyond their normal scaly apparel. He quickly caught his jaw and assessed them. "My apologies for my slight hesitation there. Not used to seeing a companion such as yours. Names Demetri. Pleasure to meet both you and Alora." Demetri withdrew a bit, returning his hands behind his head to rest once more. "Can't really argue with them about those girls. Your not a bad looking fellow there Lucas. I suggest locking your door on occasion. Though if you don't mind them, by all means strip to your skivvies and strut through the halls." Demetri chuckled about it for a moment. Though he cared nothing for the crazies, Lucas may be different. but it never hurt to warn his fellow man about the "hunt".

Much like his introduction, Ladon extended his head out to "inspect" the new arrival. Demetri pondered for a moment, almost wondering if there was another reason for the inspection besides simply "getting the scent" He shrugged it off for the time being, preferring to admire the feathery beast for a bit longer before returning his gaze back upon the group. His attention was diverted by the small discord between Cassandra and Ladon, in fact he found the child like behavior amusing at the least. Reminded him of a brother sister or a young couple relationship. Constantly prodding at one another and relishing whatever rise came out. Demetri had to admit, despite how different they might be, dragons certainly seemed to act like humans some times. Demetri hid a chuckle behind his hand and mildly chimed in about the discord. "Ahhhh such a cute couple those two are." The comment obviously directed to both Cassandra and Ladon. Demetri instinctively, yet discretely, took a few steps back, anticipating the glare of death to radiant and possible retaliation. Alas Demetri took the moment to turn on his heel and began to stride around the group. "I must apologize for leaving so soon but I should probably go check on my big friend. He must be suffering in that stable of his, if he hasn't broken out and is feasting on people already. If any of you feel the need to speak more, If I'm not with Tarick I'll be in room one twenty three. I'm certain Cassandra knows where it is." Demetri couldn't hide his laughter on that one but cut it short. He calmly through up a hand, waving it back and fourth as he departed. "Ciao loves." He quickly returned his hand down into his pocket as he strode towards the stables. He shot a glance to the bickering girls who seemed to take a moment to admire him as he went by. He humbled them with a smile and kept walking, if not a little faster.

Everyone piped up their own responses and introductions. Listening to everyone say their hello’s was simple enough, but dealing with Ladon in the long run was an entirely different story. The jerk. Aren’t pact mates supposed to be loyal? God only know what sort of secretes the damn dragon would spew like venom if he had the chance!

Ladon glanced down to both of the humans that spoke up about his current relationship with his pact mate. He glared over at Demetri for a moment, seeing him step away a bit in order to get away from any transgression that may pop up due to his comment. Cassandra on the other hand looked up to Ladon, an arched brow with a smirk,
”Aw, Ladon, do you love me?” Cassandra chuckled soflty as Ladon glared back at her for a moment and huffed a cold shot of air are her through his nose. Deep down, Terra was right, for the most part. Their relationship was rich in many ways, but everyone knows things that were two sweet could make one sick. Cassandra smiled at the thought and chuckled. She and Ladon looked into Demetri’s dirction as he began parting from the group, saying his goodbyes, but then something else. Cassandra blushed a bit at his comment, he knew? He remembered?? Ladon looked down at Cassandra, a long silent pause followed suit. ”Cass… What did you…. Do with him?” ”I didn’t do anything, Ladon!” Her voice carried; huffing a bit she face palmed. Cassandra glanced at the other two people and shrugged. What was she to say? They weren’t there when she planted her face into the wall being clumsy. Then again, she did not know that Demetri saw either, until now of course.

Stepping closer to Ladon, Cassandra decided to smile for a moment,
”For the record. Nothing happened between me and Demetri… Though, I’m sure his wall enjoyed it.” She muttered the last part softly and sighed. So, Cassandra turned out to be the dork of the group so far, while Ladon became her antagonist. Terra the mischievous and Selda seemed so… serious. Demetri on the other hand seemed to be mature, but obviously able to have a good laugh at another’s expense just like anyone else, while Demetri’s pact mate, Lucas and his pact mate, Alora had yet to be labeled.

Ladon looked up to both of his fell dragons and chuckled in his own way,
”I have to let her think it hurts me when she hits…. Otherwise it’s not as fun to bug her.” His eyes were bright with entertainment as he glanced down to her for a moment and stretched out to nudge her shoulder a minute. Feeling his cold face against her arm she only rolled her eyes in response, but in the end turned to rub along the front of his face in a forgiving manner. He was still a brat.

By this time, the sun was in its early stages of its journey across the sky, clouds had yet to appear yet and over all it was a pretty site if you loved being awake so early. One could hear birds in the distance, chirping their early morning songs, filling the morning with their music. Ladon had to admit, it was a pretty site here, but he missed his home up north on the frozen tundra. Cassandra could not blame him though, he was fairly out of his element.

Terra promptly decided that she happened to like Dimitri's company, at least while it had lasted. After all, his parting words were a decent sign that he at least had a sense of humour that she could live with. For that reason, she would see to it that if she planned to terrorize the school, she would leave him be. Well, the chances were quite good that both Cassandra and Lucas would also be added to the rather short and exclusive list of who not to mess with too badly. In the former's case, Landon did more than enough teasing for the both of them, a sight she was soon becoming considerably fond of. As for Lucas, she would have to set up some sort of test to see if he was worth avoiding or not. "Don't be a stranger, especially if your groupies come along." She called out, waving as he left their steadily forming group. It was a bit of a shame that he had left so soon, but as long as there were people aiming to waste their time by stalking him, she was sure they they would be meeting quite frequently. The thought earned a cackle which was not entirely inaudible as she had originally assumed. Well it was hardly like she was trying to draw attention to herself, she simply had that kind of quirky, difficult nature.

Since that event gradually passed, Terra enjoyed the temporary mental battle between Landon and Cassandra. Well, whatever it was that the human had done to get Dimitri to remember her, it was most likely something incredibly embarrassing. So it seemed only right to go prodding at it out of sheer curiosity.
"Wow, that's not suspicious at all. It's not like you went peeping on him or something...right?" A teasing grin spread across her face, a devious glint finding its place in her deep blue eyes. Cassandra was so awkward that she could not help but feel the need to poke fun at her misdeeds. The poor thing was perhaps a rather unlucky individual on top of being a klutz, an endearing combination which drew out either the urge to protect her from harm's way, or laugh at her misfortunes. Terra leaned more towards the latter, a fairly predictable decision on her part. Okay, so perhaps tormenting these people was not entirely out of the option, regardless of if they became friends. Old habits died hard, or refused to die at all in her case. "It couldn't be that you're actually quite sly without knowing it, could it?" She giggled, at the embarrassed Cassandra, a slight feeling of being reprimanded prickling the back of her neck. However, she ignored her pact mate and watched the response with great relish.

Being ignored was not something that Selda particularly enjoyed, especially when it was part of her duty to keep her human grounded before she got out of hand. She did not appear quite put-off by it however, opting to reply to Landon instead. The fact that Terra kept from performing parlor tricks for her own amusement during the conversation was an improvement in itself.
"Whatever happens to work. They tend to be much less interesting when they're discouraged after all." She agreed, despite having no need to feign injury with her own human. That was a rather silly idea since there was a much clearer difference between them. Nonetheless, the accuracy of Terra's verbal musings remained true; the pair really did have an enviable bond with one another as it was. While something which piqued her interest in the different ways the pact affected both dragon and human, it only held her curiosity for so long. Soon she was back to observing with an expression that was almost bordering on sleepy, if it were not for the sharpened alertness still evident in her eyes.

Cassandra glanced to Terra, listening to her poke fun at her situation. Even in such a short encounter with everyone, Cassandra kind of figured it would be Terra to say something about it in the end. Sighing a bit, Cassandra actually laughed a little,”Eh, not exactly… You see, when I left my room after unpacking I guess I walked passed Demetri’s room. He had his door open and well I just glanced. That’s when I tripped over a dragon and slammed my face into the wall.” At that point, Cassandra smiled, laughing a bit at herself and her clumsiness. To be honest, it was not often that she was a bad as today turned her out to be. Then again, normally she wasn’t around people either. Cassandra paused for a moment at the second comment and smirked,”Sly should be the least of your worries.” Cassandra’s tone was light and playful for the moment. Slowly, she was able to relax in front of her new classmates and for the moment she seemed perfectly content.

Ladon stood in silence for the most part as his pact mate and the other human’s spoke, glancing to the darker of the three larger beings, a low chuckle echoed throughout their minds,
”Heh, it’s almost as if we were watching over hatchlings.” Not that Ladon would know how to raise a brood of hatchlings, of course. To be honest, it was seldom that he saw a female in the wild within his territory. Every so often males would arrive, looking to expand their own lands, but more often than not, they fled quickly. Ladon let out a long sigh, the mist expelling from his nostrils with ease.”Makes me wonder possesses them to act the way they do at times.”Ladon nuzzled his human’s arm, pestering her for a moment it would seem but then he curled his head some in a manner that obviously had a hidden meaning between the two since Cassandra instantly began rubbing the large muscular neck of the stocky dragon.

Though the relationship seemed rocky at points, they truly were good companions in the end. The only problems they were having were working through their power blocks. Cassandra could heal with ease if she was given time, only recently did they realize she may have a problem with ice abilities. Neither of the two were sure though since the short bursts of power never had any real direction with their spurts. Ladon easily took to the powers of healing, but one also had to take into consideration that he was a being to reside over such magic to begin with. He never really remembered how his powers of ice came to be, or when it happened. He just knew that they always were. It was a natural thing to have powers for him, not for Cassandra. Ladon tried to help her, but in the end he just did not seem to have what it took in order to get her to the point she needed to be.

Cassandra glanced in the direction Demetri went off to for a moment. Her mind traveled to the horrible stalls given to every pact mate. It was quite sad in the end. She wondered if Ladon would be able to sleep all right through the night without being outside. Without being free.
”We could leave… You know? You wouldn’t have to stay in that cramped stall if we left. We will be fine and learn everything on our own.”Ladon’s eyes dialated while looking over the woman’s expression as she looked on to the stables, his head still bent while she rubbed his thick neck. Silence fell between them within the bond, Ladon never looked away from Cassandra. Deep down he knew that she meant what was said, but along with that same feeling, he knew it was best to stay.”A foolish choice we would make. For now, we stay.”Though Cassandra understood why Ladon said what he did, in a way she prayed that he told her to get her things and leave. Glancing back to the others, Cassandra smiled,”So, what do you guys think of the place so far?”

Out Of Cards: Sorry for not posting lately. Been busy.

The stalls were a little less chaotic than Demetri's first arrival upon them. Now that most of the students had stored their "friends", the dragons seemed to have settled in. If they were talking amongst one another, Demetri could not tell. Though one thing was for sure, his appearance did not go unnoticed to his caged companion. "You took your sweet time coming here. Stop to have a chat did we?" Tarick's words seeped into Demetri's head, prodding at him for leaving him here. "If you'd like, I could go back to the dorm." The response was nearly instantaneous and carried with it the edge of a blade. "....Just shut up and get me out of here. I tire of my lovely 'mansion'." Demetri chuckled lightly and found his way towards Tarick's home.

A few dragons locked their gaze upon him, almost as if they were sizing him up. Made Demetri a wee bit uncomfortable. Though he couldn't fathom what it was they found interesting about him. Though they may merely be like Ladon was...curious about other mortal humans. Demetri figured a good number of these magnificent beings were not used to human society. Though they seemed to possess a knowledge far beyond human understanding, so perhaps they were just trying to study him. Whatever the cause, Tarick did not seem to express the same interest, and merely met Demetri's person with a glare. Demetri stopped at the cage, peering in at Tarick and trying to hide a smile. "Ahhh you look like a little puppy in a kennel." "And your head looks like it would be nice in my belly. Must we prattle on with this or can we take our leave." Demetri shrugged and was about to open the cage when Tarick's large claw reached through and opened the cage. Demetri looked upon him with a bewildered stare that withheld a hint of irritation. "If you could have opened it yourself, why did you not take your leave already?" Tarick hummed to himself as he strode out of the stable, strutting like he owned the place. "If the keepers new of that, I wouldn't be able to leave when I wanted to now would I? I'd rather have my spot in this horrid place untempered by your silly machines." Demetri stared at him for a moment then threw up his hands in obvious defeat. Demetri dug his hands into his pockets whilst Tarick walked a few paces behind him, an all too obvious grin spread across his face. Demetri didn't know if Tarick was joking to the other dragons or if they knew about the scene, but Demetri swore he saw a few grow wide mouthed or chuckle to themselves. He dug his hands further and quickened his pace, eager to be back outside.

Once outside, Tarick mimicked the act of stretching, or doing his best to over do it. He lifted his legs here and there and stretched his neck forward, weaving it back and fourth as if trying to get out the kinks. Demetri rolled his eyes and nodded his head downwards. As if instinct kicked in, Tarick bowed his head slightly and allowed Demetri leave to mount up. The seat was certainly a little uncomfortable, but Demetri never did anything to fix that, knowing to well Tarick would throw a fit if any such notion were to take place. Once Demetri was set, he gave Tarick a few pats on the neck and Tarick braced himself downwards, using the brace to propel himself upwards off the ground. It only took a moment for Tarick to find the right level to take off at and not have his pact mate fall off. In seconds flat they were airborne and taking their stroll through the free air. Tarick took this moment to fly around the place as much as he could, both taking in the surroundings and trying to relish every moment of this knowing all to well that cramped cage awaited him later.

Demetri on the other hand, seemed less enthusiastic about the sky, seemingly lost in thought. Tarick had picked up on this early, but chose to keep silent for a time, letting Demetri to his thoughts. At last he had broken the silence, hoping to ease the troubled mind of his companion. "Allright...What is bothering you?" Demetri was struck for a moment, not realizing he was lost in his thought. He shrugged lightly and looked off into the distance. "I don't know. I guess I'm just trying to imagine the future ya know. Certainly there is the school and such, but what happens after all this done. I mean, this is a place for pacts to reach their fullest potential. But I'm trying to imagine what the benefit of such training would be for us after we leave this place...Do they plan to use us for military means, or are we to fend for ourselves and figure our own path?" Tarick was mildly surprised at the amount of thought Demetri was putting behind this. He never got to see Demetri express a serious side to often. It was refreshing at times. But also a little scary. It was during these times Tarick nearly showed complete compassion towards him. There seem to come a sigh from Tarick as he prepared to answer his friend's concerns. "I can't say I have the answers for you. I think it would be safe to assume that these combat dragons would probably be looked upon for the fight. Though I must say dragons possessing abilities like myself could be looked upon for such duties as well. Though I do not believe they can force these decisions upon us. I believe their intentions are merely to strengthen the bond between dragon and humans, and leaving us to decide our own path. We may not be capable as much now, though I'm certain upon our leave of this place, there would be little that would hinder us from what we desired. Whether it be for simplistic means, or the desire to rule the world. This installation is merely designed to better ourselves, and show us the doors we need to take." The two fell silent, leaving only the sound of the air at each flap of Tarick's wings as he hovered in place. Tarick broke the silence once more, shifting his head back to look upon his rider. "For the time being however, it would probably be best to focus upon the now. We are but one day within this place. Thinking of the future should be left towards the closings of our stay here." Demetri locked his gaze with Tarick and gave a small nod. "I suppose your right. Would only distract us from doing what we came here to do." Demetri leaned forward and patted Tarick's neck a few more times. "Now then, lets go explore some more. I think a little wind in my face would help to clear my mind." Tarick need not respond to that suggestion, and immediately took off, nearly nose diving to the ground. They spent the remainder of their time weaving around the building, and exploring as far as they were "allowed" to go.

The woman shook her head, laughing. That sounded considerably likely if it was Cassandra. It had hardly been that long since they had run into each other yet she had a feeling that clumsy incidents like that would be heard of in the future as well. Of course, it could have just been due to the sudden number of students that were getting settled with their smaller pact mates in the school. On the other hand, it explained quite a bit as to why Dimitri was being stalked so early in the morning. Seriously, it would be pretty interesting if she kept an eye on those two people in particular, maybe Lucas too; granted that he was as quirky as the other two. "The least of my worries, huh? We'll have to see about that." She replied, raising an eyebrow as she grinned in a rather toothy manner. That was an interesting way to put it, she supposed. Perhaps she would get along much better with the other female than she had originally predicted. Chances were that they would not see exactly eye to eye, but getting along was not such an extraordinary impossibility anymore. "Not a bad way to make an impression on the first day now that I think about it." She commented, laughing again.

The tall pact beast nodded her head, resigning to the rather accurate observation.
"I'm more inclined to believe that hatchlings would act more appropriately than humans do."She replied, eyes following another male dragon that flew over the grounds as it neared them and veered away to the grounds where they were allowed to fly. Selda looked at Landon and Cassandra and almost appeared to be smiling. Of course, with rows of jagged, gleaming teeth, it appeared much more intimidating than it initially was supposed to be. Such was the curse of being born a creature of combat, old habits of intimidation died hard. It hardly helped that one particular human seemed interested in making sure those habits remained. "You got lucky with yours. Six years and I still can't fully predict her moves and thoughts. Still, I'd have tried to eaten mine long ago if she weren't so strange." She mused, noticing when Terra turn around to smirk at the large dragon. Well, seems like she was still in tune with Selda's thoughts even though it looked like she was ignoring her altogether. "I love you too, even if you remain a stick in the mud." That earned a few good chuckles from the relatively stoic dragon. Well, perhaps they did get along better than she said. That hardly got rid of the fact that attempting to turn her human into a decent lady as well as an able fighter was a task that she doubted that even the greatest of dragons would be capable of completing.

When Cassandra started to talk about what they all thought of the facilities, she placed her hands on the back of her head, frowning as she thought over the question. It was fairly simple she supposed. Looking at the buildings in the distance, then the fenced-off grounds that taunted her on the other side. Looking at the others, she shrugged.
"It's a school, that's pretty much it on my opinion." Terra said flatly, feeling a slight nudge on her shoulder from the combat dragon. Rolling her eyes, she elaborated a bit more as her partner requested. She thought she had been able to get the point across quite well, but apparently not enough for Selda's satisfaction. "What I mean to say is that there's no real difference between here and the usual places that the two of us end up living in. Not having early morning drills is great, and the training grounds look promising. On the other hand, it's not all practical training. Aside from the tournaments, it's going to be a pretty dull experience." That seemed to be the best way to put it, or at least she could feel a rather content approval from her pact beast, so she assumed that she did something good.

Selda let out a sigh, but agreed with everything that Terra had said. Truth be told, it was not her human's ability that got them stranded in such an institution. There was more than enough training for that with their background. Of course, the exact reason seemed to escape the girl. Than again, explaining that they were here to create a sense of self-control would merely baffle her. Tucking her legs beneath her comfortably, she seemed to have grown quite relaxed with the group by this point. No scuffles would come from this bunch presumably, so she could afford a very rare lapse in her normally vigilant surveillance of the area and the occupants.

Out Of Coffee::---

I can't tell you what it {really is}, I can only tell you what it feels like
And right now there's a steel k n i f e in my windpipe
I can't breath but I still fight while I can fight
As long as the wrong feels right its like I'm in flight

Seeing Terra’s grin at her response Cassandra returned a smile to her. In a way it felt as if ice were melting away in the situation. Deep down it felt like Cassandra could actually make a friend out of the woman before her. She guessed that Demetri also was reaching that status since his earlier joke as he walked off towards the stables.
Ladon looked on as the woman talked, the gentle hand of his pact mate running along the smooth scales upon his neck. Glancing up to female dragon of the group he listened intently and chuckled,
”Cassandra is fairly easy going for the most part. It’s why I like to see her so riled up sometimes. A change from the norm. Then again, I can understand why you would think that. Your claws are certainly full with that one.” Ladon could feel his pact mates gaze for a moment as he spoke to Selda, but chose to ignore it for a moment. Chuckling at the last part of his statement he nuzzled against Cassandra’s hand a moment. “I don’t know if I could truly eat a human… I suppose it would be like Cassandra trying to eat a kitten.”

Cassandra looked at Ladon with an odd glance be tried prying her attention from him for a moment before looking back to Terra to hear her response about the academy grounds so far. It was basically as Cassandra think Terra’s response was. Nodding a bit, Cassandra leaned against Ladon for a moment and sighed,”Heh, heh… Well, I don’t think I could agree with you more there. I just wish this day would hurry up and end so we can see what’s in store for us tomorrow. I wanna’ get into the training grounds. At least look around a little.” Cassandra shrugged a bit before glancing up to Ladon and then looking off into the distance in the clouds. A few dragons chose to stay up in the sky it looked like. Some would have their human counterparts, others would not. Some were coming and even some were leaving. No matter the motive, it was still a sight to see so many large and small creatures in the sky circling the grounds like vultures inspecting a death from above.

As she looked on, Cassandra had to look back to Terra, the sun had come up respectably into the morning sky and the heat started seep through the cool of the morning. Many would find themselves swatting away tiny bugs like gnats and the occasional mosquitoes in defense, trying not to get bitten. Cassandra stomped her leg for a second, feeling something crawling over her foot, but looking down to find nothing. The only thing that would be bugging the dragons would possibly be flies around their eyes and noses, well, if they were to sit still long enough.

A silence fell in between the group before something bellowed out from the loud speakers of the dorm building. The voice sounded something along the lines of a gay talk show host, but Cassandra tried to rid herself of the thoughts.

”Attention please. Good morning, Wardener’s Academy! For those of you who have tried to get into the cafeteria and were unsuccessful, you are now able to enter and grab a bit to eat! Also, please take note that a welcoming assembly will take place later on this afternoon at 6 o’clock on the training grounds. Please make sure that if you have a rather large pact mate you stay towards the back of the area whenever the assembly takes place. Keep listening for updates throughout the day! How do I turn this thing off? This button? Are you sure? Wait, no maybe it’s-.”

Both Cassandra and Ladon were rendered a bit speechless by the horrible noises coming from the speakers from every other corner of every building as they faculty finally found a way to shut the microphone off. Softly sighing Cassandra shook her head, ”This should be good.” Ladon stood in silence before glancing to the other dragon’s his shoulders moving in a reptilian shrug, not completely sure of what to think or say about it.

Ander Dre Pancras

"Is that your blood?"
"...
Some of it."

Ander sat on the training grounds next to Fidel, who was idly lighting clumps of weeds on fire and then extinguishing them. The man, on the other hand, was flipping through a small stack of papers, reading the names of his future students. He had relatively small classes. Seemed there would be more healers than fighters this year. Healers were vital, but he was surprised by how few kids he would be getting this year. Most wanted to fight right off the bat. Wanted to learn how to control their new powers and cause as much damage as possible. He remembered that phase of his own life, when he had just wanted to blow s**t up.

Ah, fond memories.

"So. Have you looked over the same names for long enough now? We've been sitting here for an hour." Fidel said, his voice bored as he extinguished a small clump of grasses. Ander looked up from his papers and examined his surroundings, taking in the still scorching clumps of now dead weeds that seemed to circle him and his pact mate. They stood out amongst the dull yellow color of the living grass as a pulsing crimson red.

"So sorry you've been bored." he replied, his voice cool and even as he stared out blankly over the training grounds. Fidel blew a plume of black smoke from his nostrils and rolled his eyes before rising to his feet. Ander leaned forward so as to avoid falling backwards as his Pact Mate rose. He folded the papers in his hands into a small square and tucked it into his back pocket, rising to his own feet as he did so. Fidel turned to look down at him and sat on his hind legs so as to allow him to climb on. Ander did so without delay, climbing up on the smooth, golden scales and crouching slightly with his toes wedged between Fidel's wing joints. The dragon spread his wings, the razors sliding together with an audible slicing sound as he launched himself into the sky.

Their bodies moved through the air as if synchronized; Ander feeling the movement of Fidel's wings and adjusting to remain standing, his pale gray, almost white eyes staring out as the pair made their way towards the main halls, and therefore much closer to the cafeteria. The announcement had not missed their ears, and they hadn't eaten in hours. Literally. Being in the habit of getting up before dawn and training themselves, it was hard to sleep in. Even on days when they weren't needed to do anything.
Just drop me off. I'm sure you can find something to eat out by the stables. Ander thought, pressing down lightly on Fidel's right wing to ask him to dip down towards the crowd already growing outside the cafeteria. Of course, being a professor, he would be able to just slide past the masses of students and worm his way into the front. Sure. I'll find something. Though you know I want some-- Fresh sweet cream. Of course. I'll get your customary two buckets.

Fidel's mouth curled up in a small smile as he dipped down, dropping into a straight dive and feeling Ander respond accordingly. He struck out his wings at the last moment, careful not to pull out too closely to any of the students milling about. They didn't need any decapitations or other mortal wounds on their first day. That would be somewhat unfortunate. Ander slid from his back before the dragon had touched the ground, alighting on the grass with his knees bent. His unseeing eyes scanned the crowd, finding the door and sighing slightly at the size of the pulsing red mass of bodies that were currently swarming to get inside. I'll see you in about fifteen minutes. he thought, his tone rather sullen despite the fact that he hadn't voiced the words. Fidel smiled again and nudged the boy with his knee as a silent thank you before taking off into the sky again and soaring over the roofs of the dormitories and the cafeteria to make his way over to the stables. They would have food for him there.

Ander, meanwhile, was stuck facing the masses of teenagers. He sighed again and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans. He wanted to stand there and wait and see if it thinned out, despite the fact that he knew it wouldn't. Ugh.

"You have no idea how right you are." Appearing fairly amused by the comment, Selda laughed again. She seemed to take her time formulating a reply to Landon's second question, not truly because she was serious, but because she had the same enjoyment making other nervous as Terra did. With a perfectly stern expression, she appeared to have come up with a decent answer, glancing at the humans as they conversed with one another. "It's certainly an acquired taste. Not much meat, so it's not something I practice that often. Deer and elk taste much better. Bears too, but they aren't too keen on being docile about it." A sharp gleam appeared in her eye, a rather fair reminder that she was far from being a peaceful sort of dragon. At least the last part was quite true. It was an aspect of the pact she hardly minded at all; Terra liked fights and the dragon enjoyed hunting. It was not uncommon for the both of them to head out to some woods and do a bit of population control every now and again. The fond memories made Selda go a tad soft, to the extent where she allowed Terra to rest on her without making any snide comment over it. She was behaving well now, so there was no reason to think that it would not continue if she kept from paying that much attention to them. Humans were not that bad after all.

The woman did not seem to understand the mild amount of affection that her pact beast seemed to be content with showing, but had no intentions of looking a gift horse in the mouth. Selda was much more agreeable while relaxed than when she was on full alert. Terra leaned on her side, the steady breathing and warm scales lulling her into a sense of comfort. That, and she was still feeling a tad sleepy.
"It would be nice if we could just get started right away, but what are the chances of that?" Just as she said those words, she was interrupted by the annoying blaring of speakers. Upon hearing the voice of the announcer, she burst out laughing, immediately slapping a hand over her mouth to muffle her giggles. By the time the announcement ended, it seemed as though she had calmed down, although she was clearly elated with the incompetence of the speaker. "W-wow, obnoxious announcers too? It's like high school all over again." Terra cackled and Selda winced, ears feeling mildly abused by the questionably functional speakers. This was going to be just a peachy stay, that much was just confirmed.

Regaining some level of composure, Terra looked at the others. Despite the inexperience the speaker had, he did manage to remind her of something.
"Mr. I-can't-use-the-broadcasting-system does have a good idea though. Feel like grabbing a bite?" She asked them, grinning impishly. With her pact beast talking all about food, she was starting to get under the impression that she would have to arrange something. A shame they were not allowed to hunt on the grounds, although with the sort of methods that they used, chances were they would be banned from it anyways. It was a decent idea though, since neither of them had eaten since they got there and it certainly was not an easy task for a combat dragon of Selda's side to move about on an empty stomach. If what the announcer was right, there was a decent chance that the others had not gotten around to it either. There was no trouble in asking after all. Of course, her dark-scaled friend seemed suspicious of the young woman's intentions, but seemed to let it slide for now. The innocent tone did not sway the dragon much, although did not object to the idea. "What are you up to now little one?" Terra did not give an answer, smiling in an absentminded manner.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'obscure my reality'

User Image"Ulrache~" A small whine fled the red headed woman as she trailed behind the over sized lizard whose size was enough to make anyone feel threatened. He was a bustling beast, towering to a prudish height and moving with a stomp of a step that nearly shook the earth beneath him. She neglected the peevish warning to keep him off the premises, finding comfort in his company as he spoke in his own tongue, essentially beating her with malevolent remarks. Of course, she was left unfazed and still neared closer, running her hand to his rigged skin without much, if any contemplation. Ulrache and Dezzilora hadn't the patience for pretending to lack acquaintance, the still seemingly rough bond was in turn their biggest connection. Each of the two, not only felt the same, on a higher level than any would come to know unless told, but they each found a peculiar pleasure in the others' violent sense of thought. Of course Ulrache surpassed Dezzy, but it was a close call and even he would admit his admiration from time to time.

After a long dragging on about her fatigued state, Ulrache eventually gave in and let the scrawny woman find a pleasant seat on the rest of his back. Knowing him all to well, and where he should have expected, she pulled the most horrid of aches and sent the gargantuan creature to nearly knock her off before flailing his wings and setting off in an attempt to drop her. The reached a large height before Dezzy was to the point of getting lightheaded before he twirled and dropped her, allowing her to fall with a gasp before meeting and roughly catching the dainty girl before she would have a chance to be subjected to ill harm. Rough play, not unusual.

When at last she reattached, breathing heavily and clinging as not to repeat, she let out a ghoulish scream, full of an almost cynical laughter. She shook her head and fumbled off just as they arrived at the front, making more racket then needed. What would she do but enjoy the time given and have fun whenever possible? Boundaries weren't the easiest sort of rule to hold to as she and Ulrache both knew. The two were still kindred spirits and thrived off of the others' wild counterpart.

As her hair whipped around, she climbed off and stumbled to her feet. She could hear his mocking laughter as the dragon snorted, his nostrils flaring in his own pure amusement. Dezzy didn't make hast in vengeful mockery and pinched at him, sending him to stomp until he came to land on her toe and she yelped, sending him to stomp and stress more. His threatening features leaned in as he looked to her and her expression changed from anger to another giddy sign of enjoyment in an instant, taking with her the simple pleasure that passed her along and seemed to flood the green figure just as quickly as it had left her.

Arching his back as she found a place at his side once more, the two walked nearly hand in hand if that were possible. Sadly, he would be too stubborn, and she would find it too childish, not to mention they each had a fear to the others' mockery if ever a show of affection was doted on, so neither of them thought of the other as a true friend, only a 'liked' persona. Not that they each didn't seem to get distracted when newer people came in to vision.

Ulrache jostled at her side and nearly growled as if the smell of female disgusted him and that of a male racked his nerves. Both made him fume and Dezzilora only grinned as effect. One thing that set the two mostly apart was their ability to communicate. Ulrache disliked company, Dezzy nearly needed it to keep herself from hyperventilating and panicking as though the world might end. Strangely, he got used to her and she doted on him to the point it would be like prying something that had been melded.

'Ugh. Wonderful.' One could feel the dragon's reluctance to oblige Dezzilora's withheld suggestion, obvious by the smirk lining her lips. If she hadn't the care to drag him a long, he would wish to simple leave her, but, as they both could clearly hear the others' most in-depth chatter, it was hard to ignore. 'I would prefer some thing, no anything else.' He let out a sigh, stretching his neck and shaking the head at it's peak.

"Anything. Alright, you said so though, and don't forget!" Dezzy giggled and rushed into the open, towards the place where the voices seemed to blossom as she closed the distance. Ulrache, following with a grimace trudged and batted his wings as if he might just fly away and leave the woman to her joys but instead found it more easing to the mind to watch over the clumsy woman who would throw out bare instinct and common sense if given the chance.

Out Of Cards: Gaahhhh sorry everyone. Life is not being to agreeable with me at the moment. I'll do my best to get more posts in. Last week was just whoosh and vroom on me.

It seemed like they were in the air for ages. It was amazing how easy it was to set aside the world below you when you only had the sky as your company. Though what tranquility they managed to scuttle from the situation quickly was shattered upon the arrival of a rather flamboyant voice, that echoed for miles to come. Demetri found the announcer mildly amusing but all the while hoped he show a little bit of professionalism. It certainly didn't help to raise his hopes for what the school could teach him if people like this guy were in charge.

Alas upon the closing of the speech, his words certainly rung true with Demetri. The idea of providing a substance to fill that gaping hole lingering in his stomach was ever more tempting by the second. He was certain Tarick wasn't to fond of his stomach digesting itself either. No spoken words were needed between the two, for they both looked upon one another with a bow of their heads and quickly began their descent towards the common grounds. Though, as they made their approach, it became all to clear they were not the only ones to think food sounded good.

Certainly everyone was accustomed to a line, but not one comprised of dragons as well. Demetri stood for a moment staring, a slow expression of disbelief and failing interest in the situation growing ever more present on his face. His expression held even as he turned his head to look at Tarick, and nearly broke out laughing when he realized his scaly friend was sharing the same face. Tarick immediately scuffed and tried to hide it as his pact mate bent over slightly trying to suppress his laughter. After regaining his composure, Demetri folded his arms and leaned into the shoulder of Tarick, both of them surveying the scene in quiet contemplation.

"So....Do we take our place in line or should we wait till it cools down? Right now I think we'd probably end up without food with how crazy that is. I'm surprised we don't have a riot already." Tarick made it clear he wasn't very interested in the current chaos ensuing the place and calmly planted his claws into the ground, intent on setting up camp for the time being. Demetri shook his head lightly, smiling a bit whilst folding his arms behind his head, waiting for time to take its course.
