"True, but I suppose it depends on how far away we are from the water, and from the mountain lion when we begin running," he said. "Then again, it could all just be one giant bad idea." He settled for that option with a laugh. Aquila sat with her in a comfortable silence for a few moments, not really feeling the need to say anything. Somehow, he didn't mind the quiet, or the peace, though normally his life is full of adventure.

Aylin smiled with a slightly not so innocent smile. "oh its a really bad idea but we should try it out one time" she nodded. "you handle the river part and I'll handle the mountain lion" she decided before letting it lapse into a quiet silence. Talking some times just wast necessary and most of the time she limited her answers to short sentences. she watched the river tide sweep onto the beach and tilted her head recognizing the roar of a waterfall close by. It was probably a good thing they had gotten out of the rapids when they did.

Aquila just smiled, allowing the comfortable silence to fall over them for a bit. He watched the vixen from the corner of his eye, saw her staring at the river they had been swimming in. He wondered idly what she was thinking about, but decided not to ask.
Turning around suddenly, Aquila looked up at the high canyon wall. It actually wasn't too high here, and nearby it looked like there was a convenient path to climb up from. "Hmm... I wonder..." he said, glancing at Aylin for a moment, before looking back at the path.

Aylin blinked trying to clear the sleepiness that had fallen over her. for some odd reason the sounds of waterfalls tended to do that. It would be rather rude to just pass out when she was with company. Suddenly a movement caught her attention and Aylin looked over to Aquila as he viewed the canyon wall. She wondered what the slight fascination with it was. Perhaps he meant to climb up it. The sun and heat wasnt so bad at the current moment she supposed. "about going up the canyon. I suppose that would be the path in which to do so" She pointed out trying to figure out if that is what his question meant.

"Just what I was thinking," Aquila said with a small smile. "Although, it still does look dangerous, even if it must be the best possible pass out of here." And sure enough, it definitely seemed, from where Aquila stood, that the path thinned out to almost nothing at certain points. He was quite sure, however, that it looked much smaller on the ground than it would up close. Overall, he was sure it was safe enough.
Glancing back at Aylin, he raised an eyebrow slightly. "I wonder," he repeated. "Would you happen to be up for a climb, then? Just right up the canyon wall, and for no particular reason at all."

“Well I figured, after all you seemed to be staring at it for a while” Aylin replied and then looked up at the path again. It looked like it would be dangerous, but as long as you kept your balance and paid attention to where you where going it wasn’t anything she hadn’t faced before. Eventually she had to leave the canyon although going out into the bright sun wasn’t exactly very appealing, the other way out was over the waterfall which Aylin wasn’t very incline to follow either.
“Hmm I guess, I mean we already exhausted swimming right?” She replied finally looking down from the path, they had both gotten down here by themselves so she figured he could take care of himself.

Aquila's eyes fell on the waterfall again, considering going over it. "Well, I am feeling a little daring today... But it'd probably best to just go with the canyon," he said. He turned back to face the path ahead. "So, after you, m'lady? Or shall I trek ahead to ensure the path's safety?" Aquila just shrugged. "Up to you, then, Aylin."

Aylin really didn’t care about whether or not something was daring or not but she had enough of water for the moment. She looked back up at the canyon and decided sure she could lead the way. She wasn’t really the type to be a damsel in distress. “I’ll lead the way then” she voiced.

Aquila just nodded and silently began to follow her up through the canyon. He didn't say anything else for a while until he decided to glance back down at the river below. "I'm a little hungry," he announced in an attempt to make small talk. "Kind of wish a mountain lion was actually here now. We could take it down together, I'm sure."

Aylin shook her head. “Mountain lions aren’t worth the risk of injury. Its much better to kill a deer. Plus they are scaredy cats the only reason they would attack is if they felt cornered, they can no longer hunt an….” Aylin trailed off. She had a habit of spouting out information. Probably due to her dad and mother, when the latter was still alive, teaching her to be a shaman for what ever tribe she decided to go into. “Anyways its best to look for other game than a mountain lion”

Aquila chuckled, knowing that Aylin obviously had a point. "Well, sure they're dangerous," he conceded, "but I have always wondered what they tasted like. Still, not exactly a good excuse for an injury, I suppose." Aquila was probably lucky that Aylin was there to reign in his reckless side; something he hadn't thought possible because every part of him was reckless.

Aylin tilted her head to the side. “Probably along the lines of cow and other type of running red meat” Aylin stated. Then again would cats be considered a white meat? Well it’s hardly like she needed to know. She was fine with giving other predators the respect of not eating them unless necessary. “No, not necessary, after all you can just go after a ram during mating season if you want a challenge.” Aylin pointed out.

"Oh, Aylin, what would I do without you and your ideas," Aquila asked, smiling fondly at the idea. "Those guys are way more fun than mountain lions! And way more dangerous, since they never run away from a good fight!" Aquila trailed off, and just continued to walk in silence, lost in his own thoughts of rams in heat, and himself taunting them. So much fun! He couldn't wait.
"Hey Aylin," Aquila said suddenly. "Let's go exploring."

Aylin tilted her head to the side like she was giving his question some serious thought. “Well I would have to say probably going to fight those mountain lions.” She replied. However she was mostly kidding when she mentioned the rams. Living on a snowy mountain did tend to have her in contact with them often. Well if he was serious at least the rams where a bit easier to take down than a mountain lion, at least in her opinion. “Exploring? I guess we could” she pondered.

"That. That is absolutely true," Aquila said with a hearty laugh. There was just something about this vixen. He liked her; she was cool. Way better than the mother of his kids, Skype. She was just angry all the time, and he didn't understand why. Shaking his head free of his thoughts, he turned back to Aylin. "Great! Where'd you want to go exploring? Canyons are nice and all, but you can see everything there is to see about them from almost anywhere that you are.
"Anyways, is there any sort of place you just haven't been to yet? Mountains, oceans, deserts, human places?"
