Iridian squeaked as he heard the rock hit a wall, but again, it wasn't in any danger of hitting the toddler. For the most part, the rock slid down the rest of the cave wall until it hot the ground, rolling just a small distance further. He blinked a little into the darkness, confirming where this new rock had landed before scampering to pick it up and examine it in the faint light outside the cave. He gasped slightly before smothering the sound with the back of his tongue and frowning, "Is blue-purple."
Cutting in from the darkness, Cheyenne stated bluntly, "Good enough." If nothing else, he could always say that he helped because he didn't want his brother to throw a fit about not being able to find a purple rock and being bored. The albino wasn't good at picking games, and he didn't want that fact dwelled on. Inching a little closer, he confirmed to the bouncing form of his brother, "Pick a diff'ent game."
Yes, Iridian was happy to hear that as well, but he was anxious for Bleez to see the rock, too. "C'mere an' see?" he asked, waving the rock around. After a short pause, still flailing the stone in the air, he asked, "Bleez wanna pick ness' game?" At this point, neither kid would really mind heading out of the cave's confines, though both were based on purely different reasons. Iridian couldn't see in the dark, and Cheyenne -- as much as he liked the cave -- was worried that their guardian would get mad at them for playing in such a 'dangerous' place while she wasn't playing supervisor.

The normally energetic wrath spawn was stuck to the cave floor. She couldn't budge in the slightest. "Um... I'm.o-okay.right.'ere," she lied, less believably. "I.can.see.it.from.'ere. Pretty."
Next game? Crap. Didn't these kids ever just want to hang out? Granted, she never did, but kids tired easily, she thought. But again, she never really did. Well, she was trapped.
A noise came from back behind her, a chirping kind of noise. Her eyes went wide and she turned her head quickly. She could just make out the sound and the shadows of a large mass flying towards the mouth of the cave. Without thinking and without knowing what else to do, the fast spawn jumped to her feet and sprinted towards the twins.
Her heart was racing quicker than her feet. She was scared, to put it mildly. When she reached the twins, she managed to scoop one up in each arm before bolting out of the cave and carrying them a short distance before completely collapsing in the grass outside.
She turned, just in time to see a massive group of bats flying out of the cave and upward into the darkening sky.

Iridian frowned, pulling the rock back toward his torso as Bleez relayed that she could see it just fine. Cheyenne almost believed that his brother could finally tell that the older spawn was afraid of something, but this thought was shot down quickly as he grinned and gasped, "Woah!" Cheyenne rolled his eyes, but knew he could only expect so much out of other people. Iridian didn't hesitate believing her statement, chalking his own inability to see the color clearly in the dark up to visibility only being possible in one eye. After all, his brother could see just fine in the dark, too! Granted, he wasn't tallying up the pale boy's dark vision ability, or the fact that he had to stay in the dark. For now, ignorance was just dandy to him.
Neither of the boys seemed to notice the chirping sound from the depths of the cave, but both seemed to catch on to something being wrong. "Wha's there?" Iridian growled, head turned back into the darkness. He was able to feel the electrical signals given off by the bat, even though he couldn't see the dark body in the shadows. Cheyenne, confused, couldn't see what the problem was, as the bat hadn't made it's way into view yet.
In fact, he wasn't able to see until much later, taken by surprise when he was grabbed by Bleez. He squeaked, too busy focusing on what was in the cave to see her rush up to them. Iridian, wide-eyed, didn't speak another word until they were safely out on the park field. At that point, he burst into a fit of giggles, stopping just long enough to gasp, "Tha' was soooo coooool!" He rolled onto his back as he continued to laugh the event off while Cheyenne was busy watching the bats flood out of the cave they had previously occupied, slightly shaken.
Grabbing at oxygen again, Iridian was able to stifle off his laughter after a few moments. Instead, he replaced the emotion with awe, "I didn' now you could run so fas'! I be' you awways win Tag!" Cheyenne, propped up on his arms, closed his eyes at the comment -- always going on about games, despite the flock of bats still pouring out...

"Uh... yeah..." Bleez's heavy breathing finally began to slow as she answered the Gluttony twin. She was so relieved that she was able to outrun the bats while carrying the two little ones. She visibly shuddered as the bats still came flocking out of the cave. How many could there be, really?
She managed a deep breath and glanced at Iridian. Judging by the question earlier, he was fine; so she directed her attention to Cheyenne. "You.okay?" She scooted a little closer to the pale spawn, trying to comfort him if he was as scared as her, or more.
The clouds had managed to get darker since their little exploration into the cave. They still drifted as lazily, though. If it rained, it'd probably be pretty soon...

In all honesty, Cheyenne was still kicked with adrenaline; when Bleez asked if he was okay, he had a difficult time figuring out the answer. He was shaking a little bit, but he didn't know if it was from fear or not. His pointed ears lowered slightly as he watched the bats flock out, almost as if he were trying to lock onto the details of just one through the crowd. They're bats. They have to stay in the dark, too, he discerned. That means he couldn't be scared of them, right? They were just like he was, in a sense.
His barbed tail twitched as he rocked back, sitting on his legs as he brushed the grass free of his hands. "'m fine," he stated, though it was rather quiet and meek, as if it were forced. Straightening the cotton hat on his head, he pushed himself up on unsteady feet. He couldn't be scared. "They... can't fly in the day, right?" his question came a little unsure, and he wasn't positive as to which answer he'd prefer over the other.
Iridian managed to catch his breath, rolling back to sit upright again. He was still grinning, but his eyes faltered a confused glance. It was an empty smile, still there until Iridian decided what face to put on next. His eye wandered over to the bats, thinning out in numbers as the last stragglers made their way out into the opening. "They so small!" he gaped in examination, holding an arm out to try to imagine how big a bat would be in his own tiny hand, oblivious to the greying of the skies.

"I.... uh..." The question actually stumped Bleez. In all truth, she wasn't sure if they could fly when it was sunny out or not. Her knowledge was purely based on vampires movies and she didn't know what was real and what wasn't in those movies. She was pretty sure vampires didn't exist. But how could she be positive of that when creatures such as the 7 of 7 spawn existed?
"I'm.pretty.sure.they.can.come.out.in.the.day,but.only.if.it's.dark.out. 'Cuz.it's.still.day.but..." she looked up towards the clouds as the few remaining bats flocked out of sight. It was getting darker and those clouds didn't look too happy.
"I.think.we.need.to.find.your.parent..." she remarked, not taking her eyes off the growing storm clouds. "It's.gonna.rain.soon."

Cheyenne breathed a sigh, unsure of what the exhalation entailed. His hands were shaking a little at this point, heart pumping icy blood through his body. Just like me... they're just like... He almost rolled back onto the ground, but the support of his tail caught him. Hands reached up to clutch at the sides of his hat again, but this time, he didn't remove them. His fingers were paling more than usual with his grip as he attempted to stop them from shaking.
"Aww!" Iridian whined in response to Bleez's suggestion. In an instant, he was back on his feet and near the older spawn. "B-Buh... the rain ne'er hurt no-one!" he tried to convince otherwise, despite his facts being wrong, "A-An' the bats 're gone now! They no' gonna hurt no-one, neither!" It was always his downfall, to be pried from someone he viewed as a good friend. Unfortunately, everyone was a good friend to him.
Noticing the vicious circle starting once more, Cheyenne was used to working through it. When Riddy had such a sickly younger brother to look over, some things had to be put on the back-burner. It was his fault, it was always his fault, but there was no avoiding it if he wanted to stay conscious. "'m dizzy," he interjected, trying to keep his balance.
Iridian's pout deepened, but there wasn't much he could do to argue that point. He huffed a loud sigh, and after a brief pause, grumbled, "I'll ge' my boots..."

"We.can.always.meet.again," Bleez tried to placate the hyper twin. "There's.always.another.day. But.you.two.could.get.sick.if.you.get.wet.and.cold." She smiled at Iridian, hoping this would be a good enough reason for him to stop pouting.
Without a word to the contrary, Bleez scooped up the shaking toddler and hoisted him onto her back. It was the only way she knew to carry him and still be able to run for shelter from the rain if need be. She figured Iridian would be fine... he looked aquatic, he'd most likely love the rain.
A small rumble of thunder sounded off in the distance. "I.think.that's.our.cue.to.head.to.our.homes." Bleez glanced up and then back at Iridian.

Catching Bleez's answer to his pleading, Iridian couldn't help but perk up at the option. "Really?" he exclaimed, hopping to trot sideways toward where he had so carelessly discarded his boots outside of the cave. Okay, so if he could see her again, that would be okay. Not the best choice, but it wasn't as if they could all stay out here in the middle of a storm. His cheerful grin was replaced as he practically skipped over to his boots, laughing to convey his happiness on the decision.
Cheyenne hadn't even realized that Bleez had been walking over to him, his focus almost entirely wrapped up in keeping himself awake. He squeaked with the action, though it had definitely managed to get his mind off of his condition. As he reoriented himself, he was probably hanging onto the preteen tighter than he realized. Peeking over her shoulder, he marveled at the height as he tried to get his heart to stop beating so swiftly.
"Kyaaah!" Iridian called in excitement as the thunder seemed to shake the whole area, boots in hand as he ran back toward the other two. He'd never been outside during a storm before! Twitching his tail, he turned his head to the sky despite it also being a bit of a challenge for Bleez as well, "Race you, rain!"
Otomeza, meanwhile, had jumped to her feet immediately after hearing the thunder roll in. She paced a little, worry furrowing across her face almost as instantaneously. "Riddy!" she called, hands cupped on either side of her mouth, "Cheyenne!" Where could those two have run off to? She hadn't been anticipating a storm today; that was a problem. However, it was always a risk to go out when it was overcast, and she couldn't very well keep the younger of the twins cooped up for the rest of his life.

Bleez could feel Cheyenne's unease. She cocked her head to the side, looking over her shoulder at him and smiled sweetly, something a little uncommon for her. "You.okay.back.there?"
After a few moments, she was satisfied that the albino would be comfortable enough for her to start off. Face-forward, she followed Iridian as he ran off, nothing more than a long-stride walk for her, really.

Cheyenne blinked, a little unsure, but her smile proved to be contagious. "Mm!" he nodded in response, relaxing. After a few moments to gather his thoughts, the toddler added with a suppressed laugh, "Feel so tall now!" Spotting his brother as the boy goaded Bleez and the storm to a race, the frail toddler was too thrilled to flash his normal scowl. Instead, he anticipated it by making sure he had a good hold on the spawn that was carrying him, which inadvertently ended up looking more like a hug if one wasn't paying attention.
Of course, Iridian had to laugh the entire way; it was a wonder his throat wasn't sore with all the racket he had been making during the whole excursion. Perhaps he was being much too assumptive that Bleez would actually follow close on his heels, but he didn't need to look back to make sure. "Thin' we can beat i'?" he called back, as though the stifling cloud cover were able to screen his voice.
However, it didn't take much time for Otomeza to come into view. Iridian may not have been a very fast toddler, but they also had not wandered off too far -- Cheyenne made sure of that. Riddy waved a boot at her, which earned him a simultaneous relieved and irritated look both from the draconic woman. It was short-lived, however, as her expression was immediately replaced by a smile and a wave. "Tha's my momma!" Iridian introduced before they reached their destination.

Bleez smiled as Cheyenne seemed to be more at easy, maybe even having a little fun as she carried him towards the twins' mother. "Hello!" Bleez called to the woman as they approached, careful to keep her balance with the little one on her back as well as trying to keep her stride slowed. When they reached Otomeza, she gently knelt down, allowing Cheyenne to slide off at his own pace. She was careful to keep her arm spines away from him, didn't want to poke him after all.
"Looks.like.we.made.it.just.in.time,Riddy!" She smirked as a few drops of water began to fall from the sky at a rather lazy speed. "I'll.see.you.guys.around!" She gave a little salute to the kids and turned. "Nice.to.meet.you," she nodded to Otomeza and with a few skips off, bolted towards home before the rain started to pour.

To say the least, Otomeza was a little surprised at the spectacle that greeted her. It wasn't something she had expected -- the twins had managed to find an older girl from the same facilities, and it seemed they had all managed to have fun, despite the glaring differences. If nothing else, she couldn't have been more pleased to the result. She flashed a wide grin and a chuckle as she waved the trio over.
Cheyenne was slow to get down from his perch on Bleez's shoulders, feeling slightly disappointed that it was already over but likewise a little glad that he'd be able to get some rest. It wasn't every day that he felt so torn on a matter. He made note of where Bleez's body language was trying to direct him to land, following it like instruction. The grin plastered on the albino's face was rather out-of-the-ordinary, but all too sincere.
"Yaay!" Riddy exclaimed in response to their triumph, only to moments later be stunned into silence by the feeling of a raindrop on his own nose. He hadn't thought the rain would come in that quickly, and he was proud to note that he could outrun the rain. The feeling was muted somewhat by the preteen's farewell, bittersweet, though he was able to remind himself that they could see each other again before he began to pout too severely. "Bye-bye, Bleez! See you later!" he called over with a hyper wave.
"Well, wasn't she a polite one," Otomeza mused as she watched the older spawn take off. And so responsible, too! She couldn't help but find herself colored impressed. Leading the twins to the car and out of the sprinkling of rain, she asked the two, "So, you guys have fun today?"
She could hardly get the question out of her mouth before the two of them began, excitedly, to recount it.
