it wasn't all that great...the actors didn't seem that devoted...it might aslo have been better if it wasn't in that type of setting...the city would have been a better idea to have it in...

It was based off a short story though. So if the short story was about a country town and herding sheep, then that's why the movie was shoot in that setting and not the city.

i never seen it and don't the actors are hot in the first place so... i dunno if i'll like it but hey they're gay guys why not? yeah.... i'll have to rent it sometime. ^^U

I saw it a while ago and really didnt like what they did to it.
They hacked the main story of the book, and then decided to kill the ending with just that little bit extra...I hate when movies do that.

Don't kill me for saying this, but I was very disappointed with the short story and the movie.
Here's a list of the biggest problems I had with the story and movie:
1) The author of the story had a fetish for body hair. She mentions arm-pit hair at the worst times and it just totally kills the mood.
2) The two main characters (Jack and Ennis) are very hard to like for the first half of the movie and story. They're gross, macho, annoying cowboys and they drove me NUTS.
3) This is one of my strange little quirks, but I can't stand southern accents. I'm really sorry if anybody here has one, but there's just something about reading a book with the word "warsh" in it that turns me off.
4) The idea/plot was amazing, but it was lost on characters I couldn't quite care for. The story just didn't grab my attention like I'd hoped it would.
5) The sex scene...man, what can I say about it? It was too desperate. It seemed like they had just started to get to know each other and then suddenly one night "Look, I'm hot, you're cold; I'm drunk, you're drunk; I'm in serious need of a shank and I bet you are too. It's BUTTSEX time!" To be honest, that scene bored me.
Believe it or not, I didn't hate the movie. The setting was beautiful, the score was amazing and the Jake Gyllenhaal/Heath Ledger kissing scenes were hot. And, in all fairness, even though I wasn't really into the characters, I still cried when Jack died. A lot. Okay, I confess; I really liked Jack sweatdrop
And lastly, this isn't something I didn't like about it, but rather something I noticed while I was watching; Was anyone else reminded of "Walk the Line" while watching BBM? For some reason, after I'd finished watching it, I sat there going "...was this filmed by the same person that did Walk the Line?"

That already came out. it's on DVD and VHS.
I saw it in the movie theathers and cried!! It was just so good crying
The sex scene though, hot in it's own way, was too short!!! No one finishes that fast, NO ONE!
It was short in the short story too.
::sighs:: Though it was definetly sold out, first day it came out. Sold out to the max.
I eventually got my hands on a copy. And let me tell you, the sex scene is so much better frame... by frame. Hahah ~_^

I saw it and my friend bought it for me. I LOVE the first half but the second half got kinda artsy fartsy. Which I don't much like, and the ending was very perdictable. All and all I give it a 4 out of 10 for a good beginning.

Wensday1986 I sooooooooo can't wait to see this movie, it looks so good, and it's about Gay Cowboys! ^^ I have heard about what's happening in America though... how many people can't see this movie because their cinema has band it? I am so seeing the movie, but don't know when........ It is true some theaters have band the movie.. I peronally think it is bull s**t that they have done that considering they have allowed worse movies to be played in theaters....
