As he suspected, Tobi didn't quite get it. Patting the dog on the head, he tried to either reword or at least rethink this certain plan.
"Hm... Nevermind that," he said while contemplating things, "Maybe act like a guard dog? Be all tough and stuff? That might get his attention. Don't attack him though, you could get hurt."

Tobi merely grumbled and looked away as if to say that was a bad idea. He wasn't exactly big so who would think he was a guard dog? Little thoughts ran through his brain as he tried to think of what to do in this situation. When a thought finally popped into his head he wondered how to convey it to Blade. Quickly the bandit dog ran off in the direction of the alley they had been in earlier. It took a few moments but when he finally returned he had the purse in his mouth that Blade had thrown aside before.
Maybe he could act like he was bringing something to them? In question he tilted his head trying to bark around the purse.

Blinking as the dog bolted off, Blade waited while wondering what he was up to. When he returned with the purse, he picked it up while looking back and forth between it and Tobi. After a few moments, it clicked.
"Ah! I see. Bring this to the guard like you had found a lost purse. Is that what you're trying to tell me?" he asked.

Tobi gave a resounding bark, his tail wagging to confirm Blade had gotten it right. It seemed like a much similar plan to trying to find a kid in a well or being a guard dog. Pssh....silly plans. Tobi looked to the thief expectantly as he jumped up placing his front paws on Blade's knee. He was certain he could make this work.

Grinning, the thief patted Tobi on the head and said, "Alright, let's do that."
He gave the dog a good scratch behind the ear once more before handing him the purse so they could get this show on the road. Standing up after doing that, he looked at the guard, spotting the location of his coinpurse.

Taking the purse Tobi trotted his way over to the guard. It was a lot of maneuvering under feet but Tobi finally made it. Once there he started to paw at the ground by the guard's feet giving a low whine. Once he thought he had the man's attention he dropped the purse at his feet. Now that his mouth was free he gave a slight bark, sitting in front of the purse and placing a paw on it.

The guard on patrol was keeping fairly vigilant, though he didn't pay much attention to what was at his feet. When he heard a soft whine, however, he glanced down to see a dog with a purse.
"Hm? What's this?" he asked while crouching down. The purse seemed rather fancy, so it likely belonged to some rich lady. "Did you find this somewhere?"
For now, Blade kept a fair distance, thinking that it wasn't quite the right time to strike just yet.

Tobi barked a bit standing back to his feet, one paw still on the purse. His tail began to wag as the man crouched down toward him and he moved a bit closer as if to be pet. If the man tried to grab the purse Tobi would be sure to grab hold of it and play tug.

It seemed that the dog did find the purse, though the guard had to wonder if it was a coincidence that it pick him to show it off to.
"Well aren't you a smart lil' thing?" he said while petting the canine, "I'll go ahead and take this so we can figure out who to return it to. I'm sure she'll be very happy to hear about this."
When he grabbed the purse, it seemed the dog wasn't quite ready to relinquish it just yet. So he stood up to try and get more leverage to pull it away.
It was then that Blade decided to make his move. Walking by casually, he made his swipe to transfer the guard's coinpurse into his own pocket. The guardsman was none the wiser to it happening.

Tobi gave a light tug on the purse, his tail moving a mile a minute. It seemed he wanted to play. When the guard stood up to get better leverage on the purse, Tobi was merely lifted with it his back feet the only thing still planted on the ground. He gave a playful growl as he shook his head lightly though not enough to pull the purse from the guard's hands.
"Alright now, I'll be sure to get right on this." Another guard stepped out of a coffee shop, giving his goodbye to whoever was inside. Once the door was closed he shook his head turning toward the street to find his comrade. "I swear, dogs running off with purses? Who ever heard of such a-" His eyes then settled on his fellow guard trying to wrestle a purse out of a dog's mouth. He seemed fairly busy and didn't appear to notice the young lad coming up from behind. "Oy, watch out!" He started to hurry over, though there was some distance to cover. He would be sure to go after the boy, hopefully the other guard would get the dog. "Don't let them get away!"

Not knowing there had been another guard in the vicinity, Blade jumped as he heard a nearby man shout. Cursing under his breath, he went to shove the first guard to distract him further before breaking off into a run.
Hearing his comrade, he looked to the side just in time for himself to be pushed over. Letting out a startled cry, he made his way back to his feet, and promptly noticed his lack of a coin purse.
Narrowing his eyes, he suddenly knew what was going on here. As the thief was far off into the crowd now, he just made a grab for the dog.
"Why you mangy mutt!"

Tobi had let the purse drop and he took a few steps back as the guard fell forward. Once the man was back on his feet and tried to make a grab for him Tobi did what was probably unexpected. Instead of making a run for it he leapt toward the man. He jumped a bit higher than need be and dug his front feet into that man's shoulder. Once his footing was secured his back feet followed and he propelled off the man in the direction the thief and the other guard were running off in.
Making his way through the crowd the guard pushed people aside to help advance his footing. He may have been older but he was physically fit and it was an ease task to keep up. "Stop where you are!" He yelled at the thief.

Blade shot a glance behind once just to make sure Tobi was alright. When he spotted the dog in the distance, he faced forward again to try and lose the guard pursuing him. As the adrenaline pumped through his veins, he had a devious grin as he weaved through the crowd.
One thing he never understood was why guards always shouted at him to stop or other such silly commands. But it was amusing nonetheless.
"Pst! Over here!" said a soft, meek voice from somewhere nearby, "Follow me!"
Glancing towards the source, the thief spotted the girl that had attempted to pick his pocket earlier. Not hesitating at all, he went and ran after her as she ducked into an alleyway. When he entered, he lost sight of her but heard her voice once again.
"Down here!"
In between some of the garbage bins was a hole in one of the buildings; just large enough for him to be able to crawl through. Quickly, he ducked down into it, where he landed in the basement of the structure. He quietly peeked out to see if there were any signs of Tobi or the guard anywhere.

Tobi was quick to follow and he just barely saw Blade duck into an alleyway. He wasn't far behind the guard that had been pursuing the thief so when he passed the guard up he slid in a sharp turn to go down the same alley. But once he got there he stopped in confusion. Where had Blade gone?
The guard had the same idea of making a sharp stop though his wasn't nearly as graceful. He almost passed the alley in doing so but regained control of his footing and followed the dog. The thief didn't seem to be anywhere in sight and the dog seemed just as lost. Approaching the canine now that it had no where to run, the guard reach down to grab him by the scruff of his neck. "Come here you."
Turning to face the guard Tobi began to back up, his teeth bared as he started to growl. It was amazing how different he looked when he put on an angry face. He never actually attacked anyone, despite how much his previous owners had tried to train him to do so, he just couldn't do it. He could, however, put on a show. Hackles raised as he focused on the hand trying to grab him, mouth open like he was prepared to bite.

From the hole in the wall, Blade was able to see a fair amount of what was going on. Briefly, he shot a glance at the girl beside him before looking back out. He was about to call for Tobi but the presence of the guardsman stopped him. His dark red eyes widened as he saw the guy grab the dog, but what surprised him more was when Tobi bared his teeth and growled.
The thief had never seen him like that, and despite his size, he looked fairly intimidating there. Still, it'd be better if he helped out his little canine friend here.
Slowly and quietly, he climbed out of the hole to basically appear behind the man. Grabbing his dagger, he made a swing to attempt to bludgeon the guard in the back of the head with the hilt. Why go for the kill when it could be avoided after all?
