"That," Tori said with a shrug of her shoulders as she pointed behind her, with her thumb, at the waiter. "Go it when I get these," she flashed her fangs. "I've always been able to get my way, but now even more so."
"I won't do it to those I care about..." she said with a giggle. "And, all I asked for that I couldn't have otherwise was a glass of wine. I am not technically of age..." she winked.

He stared at her for a long moment before he shrugged and simply nodded though he did tease her a little, "Lush," he muttered quietly. What business was it of his what she did? It was her body she could technically do whatever she pleased with it and didn't need his permission to do what she desired.
For the most part he fell silent and it didn't take long before drinks and meals both came out at the same time. He sat up a bit and nodded his thanks. He was really hungry by now and was thankful for the quickness at which the meal came. At least no one argued with them about how 'unhealthy' it was or whatever. Screw 'em.
"Looks good," he said with an actual small smile appearing on his lips.

"Very good," Tori agreed as she fluffed her napkin and spread it across her lap. She picked up her glass of wine and swirled it before sipping it and setting it down. She was one of those to do it correctly. Cut a bite, eat a bit, and actually chew it... but more or less she was actually savoring the flavor. "You're right this place does have good steak," she grinned. "Amazingly so it is just right."

He also laid his napkin out across his lap and got everything settled so he could enjoy his meal. After a few moments he was cutting in and taking a bite and enjoying it and the hint of flavoring that was on it. He nodded to her, "Damn straight, I don't go to shitty steak houses, you'll learn that quick," he replied quietly as he resumed eating. This was pretty good.
Dare he say it...? He was actually having fun with Victoria.
Quint paused once in a while to sip his water so the taste of bloody meat didn't overwhelm him too much.

"So, what other good places to eat do you visit," she asked before taking a sip of her wine. She was sure their tastes varied, even if just a little. She was use to 'fine' dining and 'pretty penny' restaurants. She had never thought a steak house could be right up there with where she liked to dine.
She was still having a hard time believing how nice of a man Quint actually was. She had defiantly misjudged him that day at the aquarium. Then again back then they were still young, and she was 'stupid'... not that she would admit it.
She had changed. Whether for better or for worse... the jury was still out.

He shrugged a bit, as he took a few more bites, "I like burger joints too and sometimes I go to ice cream shops," he replied simply with a small shrug. Quint wasn't terribly picky eater so long as it didn't have a terrible flavor he would eat it. Also? Burnt food sucks.
Quint quietly ate a couple more pieces from his steak, "What kind of places do you usually go to? You don't strike me as a steakhouse and burgers type of girl."
Okay so he wasn't too oblivious.

"If I dine out it is usually just for the wine and company of a friend. But I prefere five stars," she giggled. "I also like coffee shops, and the occasional chocolate shop. But I only got to the chocolate shop for chocolate covered strawberries... Oddly enough I prefer to cook. I love to cook. I just don't eat enough and don't have many to cook for."
Tori ate the last bite of her steak and carefully arranged her silverware just so. She ran her finger around the rim of her glass. "I'm very glad we met up this evening. You took a lot off of my mind."

"I see," he said with a small chuckle and he nodded. "I never really been to a coffee or chocolate shop. Never really appealed to me I guess?" he shrugged and continued to eat quietly up until he was finished. He quietly set aside his utensils and napkin and then folded his arms over the top of the table and stared at Victoria for a moment when she spoke up again.
"Sure. I'm glad we met up, too," he smirked a little and shrugged, "seemed like you had a lot on your mind. Glad I could help I guess?" Quint responded a bit awkwardly.

"Perhaps one day I'll get the chance to take you some place you've never been," she grinned. She wasn't sure if he would like those places but it never hurt to try something new.
"I cannot stop thinking about what's gone and what I've done," Tori said as she looked Quint in the eyes. "I am trying so hard to start over and hasn't been easy."

"Maybe. We'll see when that day happens," he replied after a moment.
He shrugged a bit at her response, "Sometimes thinking about it too long keeps you back," he replied quietly, "gotta go into the present and not think about the past otherwise you'll never change anything or be able to start over."
It made sense to him anyways. He lifted a hand to get the waiter to come with the check. Not that he minded sitting and chatting at Victoria but there would come a time when they would have to leave, plus he needed to go home soon.

Tori nodded her head. Her friend did offer some good advice. It was certainly worth pondering over... at another time when she was alone and not int he company of others. "Thank you," she smiled. "I'll keep that advice in mind."
"At least let me cover the tip," she said as she dug around in her bag for her coin purse.

"Welcome," he muttered a bit and then when the check came he dug out his wallet and made the waiter stand and wait as he paid for the meal that they shared and when the waiter left with cash in hand he nodded a bit to Victoria, "Sure, haha. Just figured it'd make up for when I was a little p***k," he shrugged.
Not that he was able to help himself at the time, still he wanted to make it up to her.

"I cannot honestly say that I was much better," she chuckled as she sat the tip on the table. Her tip wasn't the average percentage. Having lived above a cafe and knowing a few waiters and waitress' she felt obligated to give a little more. "Maybe not what you describe yourself as but something just as bad if not worse."
"And, in any case you are nothing now like you were then. Then again I am not who I was either and not nearly as judgmental," she winked as she slowly stood up.
"How about I give you my cell phone number and we can do this again sometime."

Quint chuckled lightly and nodded a bit and waited for Victoria to finish with giving the tip. He moved to stand as well and he nodded a bit, "I guess that's the part about aging. You learn things and you figure out how to deal with stuff better than when you were younger? I don't know. Thanks for giving me another chance though."
"Eh? Sure let's exchange cell phone numbers," he said quietly as he took his phone out so she could recite her number and he his so he could program it in right away. He carried it around just in case his family needed something while he was out or whatever.

"And, thank you for giving me another chance," she winked. She dropped her coin purse back into her bag and dug around a bit for her phone. Once they were back outside, and away from the noise she gave him her number.
