Bloody Rose Essence

(Mutter)
Masters of Horror Volume 2 appears to have vanished into oblivion. I've been happier.

On the plus side, just acquired Brotherhood of the Wolf, and watched the excellent (and ever-so-slightly Lynchian) Angel Heart.
Hardboiled detective horror's a new one on me in film.

My beautiful Call of Cthulhu DVD arrived, and it's perfect. A spot-on adaptation of the original short story.
I feel happy.

I picked up "Remembrance of the Daleks" a few weeks ago. Ace v Daleks = great. Plus the deleted scenes and the outtakes are great. So much more than just a Time Lord...

Now I'm waiting for a) another DVD sale so I can pick up "The Curse of Fenric" and b) the Beeb to release a few more Seventh Doctor DVDs. At this point, I think I'd take "Paradise Towers" or "Time and the Rani" - haven't seen Bonnie Langford on TV in ages (I missed celebrity ice dancing).

I'd agree wtih you on Paradise Towers being one I wish they'd release, but Time and the Rani is... a little lacking in quality.
Now Greatest Show in the Galaxy, that I'd like to see.

Seconded smile You never know, the Beeb might get bored and release a few more.

Come to think of it, box sets of the E-Space trilogy and the Trial of a Time Lord are just crying out to exist.

Q: the winged serpent.
Quezacoatl attacks New York.
It's meant to be much better than it sounds.

The use of Quetzacoatl piques my curiosity in itself. I'll have to look that one up...

It's basically a classic monster movie, but with some quality in acting, script and direction, which makes a pleasant change.
Done by Larry Cohen, who I apparantly ought to see more by.

Just picked up, on my meagre budget, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer and the recently-released Dust Devil.
Both cult classics, both well spoken of. I'll have to see.

Also just watched my copy of Profundo Rosso, which is excellent. Atmospheric, haunting and unusual. Lives up to its reputation.

Having watched The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover at long last, I think I've just become a fan of Peter Greenaway.
Now I just have to deal with the urge to go out and buy another 10 or so of his films. Darn my lack of money...

I didn't picture myself doing this, but:

heart Thank you, Disney! THANK YOU! heart

For with this (with the exception of further season releases of series already available or upcoming), I believe that my Disney nostalgia needs may just've been fulfilled.

The UK magazine DVD Review claims to have heard that Twin Peaks Season 2 is finally getting a DVD.
Here's hoping they're right.

Just got my hands on Batman Beyond Season 1, a little bit of a belated buy, but I got there eventually.

It's a fairly decent purchase, for £13.

13 episodes, 2 commentaries on the pilot and Shriek episodes. Score Only sections in features, to highlight the effectiveness of the show's music, and a meet the creators feature.

Pretty bare and boring, nothing spectacular. I'm more concerned about the series 2 release, scheduled for October 24th, which includes 26 episodes.

Not a big recomendation, but fans shouldn't pass up the chance to get it on the cheap.
