Zeiss, Ephraim:

So the two guild members thought they were safe. The wyvern rider and the lancer did some fancy movements and they somehow thought they were in the clear. Well, if that is the case.... then why is there now a knife sticking out of the wyvern's side?

It had been flung in the blink of an eye. The aim had been for the lancer's heart, but the creature's movements caused itself to take the blow instead. It may not have realized that it had been hit at first, but a pain reaction was sure to come. Attention of immediate danger was sure to have been acknowledged by the two guild members, then. But they would see no enemies preparing to throw any blades. What they would see is the archer that had apparently been forgotten about. Said bandit let another arrow fly towards the winged beast.

The arrow would cause a distraction as it..... should have done the first time. Really, an arrow flying passed the ear didn't even make the rider flinch at all? Maybe he was deaf. But at any rate, there were those ready to make use of such a distraction. Two figures, one in a house on each side of the street, appeared in the window. A few seconds was all that anybody had to spot them before they vanished and a knife came soaring forward. But surely, these two cloak and dagger types... were bound to keep attacking. They would appear in the windows again.

Rajin:

The bandits dealing with the tiger hadn't known about the weakness to fire before, but they did now. The tiger lunged and the others backed off, except the torchless one. Fear was evident in his eyes, but he swung nonetheless. It didn't stop the beast from getting to him.

The bandit was pushed back and hit another one, causing the torch to be dropped. Before the bandit knew what was happening, his clothing had caught on fire. When he noticed the flames, the bandit began to flail wildly until he knocked into the tiger. While that happened, one of the other bandits ran around and held the torch away from himself as he used his other arm to chop down at the beast's back.

The now torchless bandit's legs shook as his axe was held out in front of him. His friend, who had a torch, stayed very close. Neither wished to attack the shape shifter. The brigand who had been set flame was done for. There were three left for the tiger to deal with.

Drake fighters:

The earth broke underneath the crash of the mighty blade and cracks went every which way. Broken off sections sunk and a slope developed from normal level down to the hole that was created. The beast managed to avoid being sliced in two, but he had no choice but to stumble on the ground as he scurried away like a scared little kitten.

The blade was heavy, but Drake had a good handling on it and his grip had not faltered. He mustered his strength and raised it just high enough to swing it before his opponent could get away. The flat side came rushing towards the shifter, acting a bludgeon. It was too inconvenient and strenuous on the joints to turn the blade enough to cut, but the attack would send the cat crashing into whatever it hit. And it wouldn't feel good.

Drake began to dart after his enemy to finish it off, when a sudden flash of light bolted down where he had been standing. "Hrrrk!" The light had missed, but the force behind it pushed Drake away, sending him tumbling to to the side. The sword was used as a prop and Drake recovered in a few heartbeats. "Damn magic... who the ********...?" He looked around to see where it had come from. He didn't see any mages, but he saw a carriage with a glow fading from inside. He glanced to see where the cat was and saw light fading from it as well. ....Drake didn't like magic wielders interfering with his fights.

He kept his feet planted but turned his body, holding his blade as if ready to swing it and knock something out of the way. He then spun around, picking up speed each round. On the third time around, Drake released his blade and let it soar towards the carriage. He couldn't be sure where it would hit, but the carriage wasn't going anywhere too fast. Once he was balanced, Drake ran after his sword. His move was risky, but the damage it would do, whether it hit the horse, the driver, or the actual carriage couldn't be ignored.

Damn thieves...always being sneaky little fellows, and driving their daggers at enemies when they weren't looking. Least the first two were taken care of, and though it seemed like they were safe, they weren't. "Your ally is close to you, soon to be surrounded by enemies. I couldn't stand still and let him be flanked."

Shortly after taking care of the thieves, Rubley let out a bellow of pain, and not wanting him to stay in pain, Zeiss jumped off Rubley, and took a look around, soon finding the dagger on his side, Zeiss frowned...didn't they take care of the enemies? Well...one thing was certain. Staying here wouldn't be safe for Rubley, and yet the fight was here. This would be a tough choice, but letting the enemy kill the wyvern wouldn't be a good idea, since there was an archer somewhere around here.

Speaking of an archer, an arrow was sent towards Rubley, but since Zeiss jumped down, the arrow hit his armor, and caught his attention this time. Now the area wouldn't be the best for Rubley, so it was time for some ground fighting. "Rubley, up in the air." Following the command of its rider, Rubley went up, despite knowing the battle was there. When he would need Rubley, he would call out for him. Keeping his Steel Lance at ready, all he could do was wait for the enemies to come close.

He may have evaded the lethal strike, Sunil he wasn't free from danger just yet. One minute, the ground was level, the next, it wasn't. At least, not where he was standing.

"N-nyaa!" the cat meowed as the ground suddenly gave way under him.

First tidal waves, now the earth hated him? What's next, a tornado out of nowhere? But before he could assess the situation further in his confused state, something slammed into him. It kinda felt as if he were running at top speed and then ran headfirst into a wall. The cat was knocked off his feet and sent crashing into a wall.

Ow...

The cat slowly got up to his feet, shaking his head as he tried to get the water out of his ears so he could at least stop the rustling. His head was throbbing from the collision, his vision had blurred from how he hit his head, and his side ached from the blow. Whatever had hit him had at least fractured a rib or two, with that kind of force. Another hit like that and he'd be done for.

Just then, he felt a strange feeling wash over him. It was light, and warm. It felt odd, as if it was some sort of magic. But whatever it was doing was helping Sunil calm down. His mind cleared, his senses reverted back to normal (so he wasn't deluding about tidal waves and such), and his paranoia faded. The blue cat was back to normal.

With his mind cleared, he glanced up. A man with a large blade was running away from him and heading towards...a carriage? Was he fighting this guy just now or something? Strange. And all this time he thought it was a tidal wave. That b*****d. How dare he attack poor Sunil and the village while he was in his confused and delusional state.

Though he wasn't entirely certain, he felt that whoever was in the carriage had helped him overcome his paranoia for the time being. Sunil wasn't the kind of Laguz to let debts remain unpaid, so he decided to do what he can to return the favor. The headshaking and the collision had managed to clear one of his ears of water, but the other one still rustled due to the fluid. He'd have to take care of that, but first, get that bandit.

He dashed forward at full speed and stopped, wincing in pain. Right...fractured side. His fighting abilities and speed would be affected, but he should be faster than this Beorc, even with this handicap. He darted after the bandit at a speed reasonable enough so that the pain wouldn't hinder his abilities enough to make him stop. The bandit was spinning around and just released his sword at the carriage. Now he was running to recover the weapon. Sunil was close enough now, so he pounced.

Whether or not Drake was aware of the cat chasing after him, he would soon feel a force hit him from behind, and then some heavy weight sitting on his upper back. The hissing should be more than enough to let him know Sunil wasn't going to let him run away from him.

And just to mess with the bandit, he turned his head so that the ear that still had water would be facing downward, and he shook his head a little. The water dripped on Drake's neck. But what would Drake imagine it to be? Saliva? Sunil chuckled to himself.

((Hope this is okay. Lemme know if there's anything that needs to be changed.))

A sickening crunch turned the driver's head, but he didn't expect the violent lurch of the back of his wagon crashing to the ground. The man let out a startled yelp and tightened his hold on the reins as the wagon bounced and groaned, the horse pulling as hard as before, flustered by the sudden difficulty of the task.

Ash seemed relatively unaffected. She did hold to the side of the wagon to prevent herself from toppling off, but she regarded the missing wheel and the splintered backside with intrigue rather than fear. She glanced up at their aggressor from beneath her black hood.

"That's quite the arm," she remarked coolly, the wagon dragging itself away from the remains of its missing wheel and the dislodged blade. Never mind that she or the driver might have easily been hit.

Ash turned to the driver. With only three wheels, she had the feeling that it could end badly, especially since all that running threatened to tear another wheel off.
"Stop now!"

"Women, yer mad!" cried the driver. He did, however, recognize the danger of letting the horse go on, and he pulled the beast to a hasty stop. "Knew this were a bad idea, I did..."

Ash checked to see if she still had her tome on her. The staff remained in her hand, but she set it down and raised her eyes toward the cat and the bandit. She took a quick survey of the surroundings and determined it was best to deal with the scene before them. So, taking her tome and leafing it open, Ash uttered a simple spell and waved vaguely toward the two.

An orb of light gathered in front of Drake, threatening to engulf him—and then fizzled.

"Hm... Nope!"

User ImageHA! It looked like his tactic worked! He managed to make the other bandit dropped the torch. But unfortunately, he had also managed to make that bandit on fire. After the bandit noticed the fire and flailed around, the tiger widen his eyes when he saw the burning bandit coming at him. s**t! Maybe that wasn't a good plan at all!

Not wanting to get burned the second time, the tiger tried to run away from the flailing bandit. Apparently, that didn't work either.

s**t! s**t! s**t! Doesn't that idiot know how to drop and roll?! The tiger thought frightening. Seriously, it couldn't be that hard to put out the fire. Either dropped and rolled or jumped to the nearest body of water, which was happened to be a lake. It was too bad that Rajin and the bandits were not near the lake. Damnit, why did he have to battle in the worst terrain place?

As Rajin tried to escape from the burning bandit, he felt the heat increased more in front of him. Huh? What was that? Turning around, the tiger noticed that he was about to run into a fiery wall. ********! Not good!

Not wanting to run into the fiery wall of death, the tiger quickly halted his run, letting him slid a bit toward the wall, before made a mad dash to the right to avoid crashing. He could feel the flame licking against his fur, wanting to burn him up. Damnit! That was too ******** close!

Unfortunately, the flailing bandit had accidentally ran into the wall. It seemed he was in pain of being burned to notice where he was going. To make sure that the bandit wasn't going to continue chasing him, Rajin ran up to the bandit, placed his front paws onto the upper body, and clawed deeply into the bandit's neck as well as clawing over the abdomen. The flame from the bandit's body was flickering against his fur. Smoke was starting to form onto his fur. The heat was burning up so quickly; it was as if Rajin had entered the volcano.

Rajin quickly let go of his hold and moved further away from the bandit, letting the body dropped to the group. The tiger quickly rolled his body around few times before standing on all four and pawed his front paws to the ground couple times. Hot! Hot! Hot! s**t! He thought in pain. Damnit! He shouldn't have do that. Any longer and he would be all burned up like that bandit. Damnit! Where was the healer or water or anything to cool down his burns?

While the tiger tried to tend his burning paws, the bandit crept up to attack him. Although there was fire everywhere and the kindling noise of the burning wood had covered the bandit's footstep, the tiger picked up the smell of iron nearby him. Turning his head around, he saw the bandit raised his axe to chop him down. s**t! He nearly forgot about those bastards.

Rajin sprung to the left as the bandit brought down the axe. The tiger let out a hiss when he felt the axe narrowly cut his side. The cut was long, but it was shallow for the tiger to continue to move. Rajin quickly turned around to face his opponent and let out a growl as he lunged. He dug his claws into the shoulder and the arm where the bandit held the torch, tearing the biceps as he tried to push the torch further away from him. As he moved the torch away, Rajin quickly sank his teeth into the bandit's throat, trying to break the windpipe before closing it tightly. To make sure that the bandit would stayed dead, the tiger shook his head, giving the bandit to feel the jerk in his head before feeling the bones popped.

The tiger let go of the bandit's neck and declawed his claws from the shoulder and arm. He stepped back to get the bandit dropped to the floor before looking around to see if there were more. His breath was getting heavy and his body was aching from being burned as well as from the battle. The cut on his side was shooting pain too. Damnit! How many more did he had to battle in this condition and the terrain?

So far, there were three bandits. Good, that would be enough for the tiger to handle. He could see that the torchless bandit was scared of him based by his shaking legs and the smell of fear lingered onto him. There was another bandit nearby him and he was holding a torch. Damnit! Another one to deal with.

The tiger lowered his upper body down and snarled at the bandits in anger. It was bad enough that he had to deal with them. It was bad enough that he had to battle in a terrain that had his weakness. But to continue battling with fire really pissed him off. Rajin let out an angry roar to let the bandits know that he was not a happy feline.

-Ephraim-

Fate didn't give them the chance to relax. No, it seemed there were a couple bandits hiding among the buildings from their left and right. That knife to the side of the rider's mount had proved they were not in the safe zone. Two? No, there were three. The sound of an arrow piercing the air was heard when Zeiss's Wyvern had took flight once more. Ephraim had more things to worry about, like said bandits throwing knives at him from windows he could not spot. For a moment, things were quiet until something sailed through the air toward his head. Ephraim lifted the spear, knocking the knife away from him but just as he did the other bandit was forgotten. Just as the lancer realized it was too late, a knife pierced him in the back, more specifically his lower thigh area.

Cheap move

So they were planning on limiting his movement were they? Well Ephraim would not go down that easily! He took hold of the knife in his flesh and ripped it out, ignoring the sheer pain that ran through his body. Silence came over for a moment before another knife came at him, this time directly in front of him. The knife Ephraim had was thrown to repell that of the bandit's, next was the one who would attack from behind. He quickly turned around only to find glass shards thrown at him. Ephraim gasped, raising both hands to cover his face. The sheer sound of fabric ripping and the smell of blood was clear but now was not the time to rest..most likely....the knives!

It took Ephraim a split second to react to the two bandits that and simutaniously thrown their daggers at him and a quick side step to barely dodge his good leg from being stabbed. Cheap low life no good b*****d bandits! Cowards! All of them! Out of anger, Ephraim threw his short spear at one of the windows in which he spotted one of the cloaked figures..but only for a moment before his attack was rendered useless. "Tch!" calm down, anger will get you no where. Ephraim knew this very well and tugged on the cord that held the short spear, yanking it back into his right hand as he searched for their location once more. You can't attack, what you can't see.

...Can't....see...?

Something clicked in the back of his mind, something Duessel taught him long ago. Ephraim never had a chance to try it..because there was never a situation where it was needed. Should he risk it? If the lancer just stood around, aimlessly trying to attack them, then it would be pointless and he would simply be using up his supplies. He hesitated for a moment, took a deep breath and stood up straight. His spear held in front of him, slowly, Epraim closed his eyes. What you can't see you can't hit, but possibly if you can hear them..it sounded crazy but it might work..Ephraim had no doubts about it. As silent as those bandits were, they obviously couldn't contain their cloaks from making slight whoosh sounds as they ran window to window. Their soft footsteps were located as well....however..their pinpoint location was still a little difficult to make out.

Realizing something coming at him from behind, Ephraim quickly spun to his right, the blade grazing his hair. Next, from behind once more only this time the lancer ducked and leaped toward to his left as two more came flying at him. Problem one solved, the next he had was actually knowing where they would land. He couldn't just keep doding like this..it'd just be wasting his energy. As he was thinking, the bandits thought it would be a good idea to attack him while he was still, thinking he won't realize the daggers coming at him. Ephraim tilted his head to the right, hearing the two knives that flew past him stick to the wall behind him. He raised his spear, and threw it at the window directly to his right, simply guessing that is where one of them would lead. Who would have figured he was right, however it only grazed the bandit before he ran off again.

Ephraim jumped out from his location once more and was once again in the middle. Their movement....where...? Why couldn't he hear them anymore..? Did they stop moving..? The lancer paused for a moment, still knelt down on the ground. For a moment they stopped, and after a moment they picked up once more. This time for sure..the lancer knew where they were. Not giving them any time to throw the knife, Ephraim threw his short spear toward the window on his left, shattering the glass and piercing the bandit directly in between the eye. However, rather then the usual attack from the back, a knife came at him from his right side.

Without any second to even dodge that, Ephraim, out of reflex raised his right arm and blocked the knife from hitting him in the head. In the process, causing him to yell out by the sheer pain he could no longer ignore. Did they know he was going to attack? Did they PLAN this? Ephraim opened his eyes once more, lowering his arm he reached for the knife. A chill ran up his spine as he took hold of the small knife punctured in his arm and ripped it out, a loud muffled cry showed how much of a b***h that hurt. The blood rapidly started to flow town to his brown glove and he looked up. Bandit was being merciful huh..? Now that he can't use his right hand he's gonna show mercy? Bullshit.

Bull. s**t.

Like hell that bandit would let him off easy.

(Holy hell that ran longer then I thought X_X )

When Alihi stopped mid-sentence, Abel slowly turned to look where she was. He blinked a couple of time, then dropped his jaw. As Alihi ran inside, Abel ran outside. He raised his hands and planted them to the side of his head. "...Fiiiiire!!" His mind was becoming dizzy, but he could still clearly recognize things. Villagers, people Abel knew by face and name, came running passed him, shouting about bandits. "...Bandits?" He looked out and eventually saw the axes with his own eyes. He staggered back and shook his head, but as much as he wanted it to be, this was not a hallucination.

Somebody then zipped passed the boy and it turned out to be Alihi. "..Hey!" He called out to her, but there was no answer. Abel wasn't in his right mind, but he would never let Alihi run out by herself into a battle. He ran back inside and grabbed his sword, then came right back out. The soldier was helping Amara away, so Abel didn't need to worry about her safety. The soldiers were moving the villagers and wounded away, while others held off the bandits. Amara would be safe.

At first, Abel was helping villagers get away from the brigands. He had lost track of Alihi, but he knew that she couldn't have gotten too far. Vayrin wasn't all that big. In his mind, the fighting seemed to go on forever. While the battle had been going on for a while, it was merely a fraction of what it seemed to Abel. His high was affecting him greatly- and it was showing in his fighting.

But the boy was able to manage, and was saving the lives of the villagers as he could. The more he fought, the further into the village he got. Eventually, he came upon a carriage in the streets and saw a sword break off a wheel. If he had been more sharp, he would have recognized the blade. But when he saw the man it belonged to... his eyes blared wide. Flashes from his memory poured through Abel's head. Anger swelled up in him. His heart began to race. The rage built up until he could no longer take it anymore. With his own broadsword, Abel lifted it up, then swung it down and sent the windy blades his sword could produce straight for the sandy haired man.

When the dirt settled, he looked vigorously for where the man was. He was already breathing irregularly. The street danced around in his sight and the boy could barely seem to stand at times. "Why?! Why are you alive?!" he called. "I saw you die with my own eyes!! ...DRAKE!!"

Zeiss, Ephraim:

Now that the- Oh.... no, sorry, the archer is still alive. ....Huh. Well then, I guess he uh.... fires at the red-haired guy who didn't attack him yet and keep doing so until the guy actually comes to fight him.

Around the lancer, things got quiet again. His movements were impressive, but it didn't seem he was really aware of what he was up against. To underestimate his enemy would mean death. One does not easily fight against Sentrian rogues. Even before the era of the bandit, Sentria was famous for those gifted in the skill of assassination. When the royal family was murdered and Sentria became overrun by banditry, there remained a group of full-blooded Sentrians that fit in well with the change of leadership. It is known as the Shadow Guild- a group of assassins for hire. And Drake just so happened to have taken some from that guild along with him.

A body suddenly fell out of the window, easily being able to draw one's attention. The knife between the eyes distinguished it as the assassin the lancer had been able to fell. From behind the lancer, a point would be felt in his back. "Don't move." the assassin sneered. It was over. Inside the building, the enemy could not move to strike up close, but the death of the other assassin allowed the other to get close. His dagger was pressed to the back of his enemy, ready to be plunged if the lancer decided to do something stupid. "Do not feel ashamed. You were most formidable. But now... you will have to die." But what the assassin didn't see was a growing shadow behind him. (Now if only there was something that was in the sky that could help Ephraim out.)

As for the archer, he kept running from the rider every time the man got too close. As he was about to fire again, he looked passed his opponent with a horrified expression and began to run for his ******** life, having seen a terrible danger coming from the distance.

Rajin:

The torchless bandit gulped, then whined, unable to check his fear. He was, simply put, a coward. But it could also be said that he wasn't stupid the way other bandits were. Take your pick. As for the bandit who had a torch, he didn't fear the tiger. He kept thrusting out the torch to try and force the beast back. He knew the beast would have to change back eventually, he just didn't know how long shifters could keep the form.

It was very much the stalemate until same crazy warrior can spinning through, axe twirling around him, right at the tiger's side. He came fast, unexpectedly, and with an attack not easily blocked. Was there no ally that could help him?

Drake fighters:

"Heh heh!" It was pleasing to see the wheel torn off of the carriage, though Drake had hoped for much worse damage. That driver was a quick thinker, it seemed, or maybe it was just the horse. Drake had also expected his sword to actually lodge somewhere aboard, but it was much easier (and faster) to reach it since it had not.

He figured he would go and finish the job, since whoever could wield magic probably still had the ability to cast. With blade in tow, he began to take off, but was suddenly forced to the ground. "Guhhck! The hell?!" Drake turned about wildly, partly trying to see who was on his back. His sight gave no indications, but the sound of hissing let him in on his attacker being that damned cat again! The aggravated blademaster growled, then sent several powerful jabs with the back of his upper arm. The stupid cat had failed to actually pin his limbs down. Some jabs would hit the already hurting rib cage, while others would hit the oh so vulnerable and tenderly soft underbelly. The natural pain reaction would give more than enough wiggle room. If the beast had actually bothered to start clawing, instead of shaking his head, maybe he could have stopped Drake from being able to attack.

Now able to actually move about more, Drake turned over, swinging his blade with him, flat side out. The cat had already been acquainted with the attack and he would get to meet it again. Have fun, p***y.

Drake rolled with his sword, then got to his feet in a more or less smooth motion. He was about to go attack again when, what do you know, he was hit with another attack! The sudden gust lifted him off the ground, but he plunged his sword into the earth and held on with both hands, to stop him from being sent tumbling back. The wind blades broke upon his own blade, and sent broken off pieces whirling passed him on both sides. They cut his arms and even managed to drag the blade through the ground, leaving at least a thee foot slice from where the blade had first been plunged. When the wind passed, Drake winced as he looked out.

He was still in pain, but started laughing at the sight of Abel as he got into stance. "Well, well... this surely is a surprise! And shut up, kid, you didn't see anything! You saw me fall into the darkness. You didn't see me actually die." He shook his head. "I was saved. As I fell, a portal opened up beneath me and I was engulfed in it. The next thing I knew, I was in Sentria." He stopped to laugh more. "That's right, kid. The same power that took you and all these guild members from their world and sent them here is the same power that saved my life! You may have beaten me last time on a fluke, but now things are different." He crouched a little. "Because this time... I'm in charge!"

Dust was flung into the air as Drake sprinted towards Abel. Another leap attack wouldn't suffice and it wouldn't feel all too good anymore. Plus, he had fought the kid before- he was probably prepared for that move. Instead, Drake gave a simple, yet powerful swing of his mighty blade. He was curious about just how much better the kid had become. It was a reunion of blades.

Battle erupted once again. Even though the were suppose to be getting away from the battle by fleeing to this village, but it seems as though the brought that battle to this village. Before the battle erupted, Oujay luckily had one of the clerics heal his wound that was created on his back from one of the bandits that attacked him at the desert. He was going to make sure that the same thing wont' happen again.

Being a swordsman makes things easier for him again. Axe wielding bandits were something he was able to handle. Oujay waited for the bandits to charge at him until he made a counter attack. The axe was easily parried and the mercenaries' sword soon sliced at the bandit, taking him out. Basically Oujay was beating the crap out of the bandits then cracked open a beer

Oujay noticed one of the laguz was having trouble fighting against the bandits. It seemed as though the laguz was having some of trouble with the bandit that had a torch. Maybe that laguz was afraid of fire. Either way, it seemed like he needed help. There seemed to be a bandit without a torch that was acting all scared as he looked at the laguz. However, there was suddenly a warrior that zipped past him and charged at the laguz, whirling his axe at him. He had to think fast, he would have to take care of the torchless bandit later.

The swordsman ran and leaped over the bandit. In one split second, Oujay landed next to the laguz and at the same time, he blocked the fatal blow of the axe from the warrior. Oujay's eyes locked with the warrior. The warrior was obviously not happy that his axe did not pierce an enemy. Oujay couldn't help but put a slight grin as he foiled the enemy's attack.

Suddenly he heard a crack. A crack was never usually a good sign. His eyes looked down at his sword that was still blocking the axe. His eyes widened when he saw the small crack at the point where the axe was touching the sword. It seems as though the heavy axe blow did a lot to his sword. He wasn't sure how long his sword was going to last much longer, but it he continues this clash, surely his sword will end up breaking. This situation was not looking good at all.

Oujay parried the axe to the side and attempt to counterattack at the warrior, but the warrior dodged the sword swing. He held his sword with both hands as it pointed towards the direction of the warrior and the two bandits. The laguz was also next to him, so it seems like a two on three battle now. He just hoped his sword would last long enough through the battle.

((meh post, but it got the job done.

Edit: suddenly got a "brain blast", but still not that much))

User ImageThe tiger let out a growl as he stared at the two bandits in front of him. Which bandits should he attack first? The cowardly one or the b*****d holding the torch? It would seemed obvious to go after the coward one. He could smell fear dripping out of him. However, that would leave the tiger vulnerable to that other bandit, torch readied to be burned him. So if he attacked the b*****d, not only would he had to deal with the torch but also let himself be opened to the coward. Damn. So hard to choose. Which one would be easier for the tiger?

Although his instinct told him that he should go for the coward (predators couldn't resist the sense of fear coming from the pray), his conscious was telling him to go after the other. Sure, he would have to figure out what to do with the torch, but receiving an attack from an axe was better than receiving an attack from the torch if being left opened.

Finally deciding which bandit he would go after, Rajin lowered himself to pounce. But before he saw a blur leaping over the bandit, surprising both the tiger and the bandits. What the hell? What the hell was going on?

Before the tiger could figure out what was going on, the blurry figure landed next to him. In a split second, he heard the loud crashing noise of the weapons clanged together. Looking up at surprise, the tiger saw a good look of what the blur was. It was a swordsman and he was blocking the attack of a warrior. s**t! Where did that warrior came from? Rajin didn't sense the warrior was coming after him. Damn, it must be the fire that was screwing his senses. With all the burning, smokes spread everywhere, and the kindling noises of the wood popping, it was no wonder why the tiger didn't sense the warrior. Damn he was lucky that swordsman had blocked the attack and wasn't fighting against him. He would have became a tiger rug if that fellow dared to attack him.

Suddenly, Rajin heard movement coming toward him. Nearly forgotten about that b*****d, the tiger moved to the left, evading the flames of the torch that the bandit swung. Annoyed with the tactic the bandit used, Rajin sheathed his claws and swung his arm at the bandit. The bandit had managed to pull himself away, but he received the scratches on his arm as he moved back. Damnit! The tiger had barely missed it and the bandit was still holding onto the torch.

Just then, Rajin saw the warrior moved away from the swordsman. Damn, that fellow didn't finish him. He could see that the battle was now leveling up the playing fields. Although it was now two vs. three, the tiger was still in a disadvantage with flaming buildings surrounding him. And now only that, he could also feel his energy was getting low. Damn, it looked like he could only finish it by attacking one enemy. Well, it was a good thing he had someone to watch his back. Sure, he would never thought he would be working with a beorc in battle. But hey, that beorc had saved his hide by blocking that warrior's attack. He wasn't sure how that beorc did it, but damn, at least he wasn't being skinned by that attack.

Looking back at the enemies before them, Rajin let out a growl. It looked like they had to pick the enemy. One was the warrior and the other were the bandits along with the torch. Sure the warrior looked powerful and tough, but it looked like the tiger could evenly match against him. As for the bandits, even though these bandits were less powerful and looked readied to battle, there was the b*****d who still held onto that damned torch. Now which one would he choose? Hmm...

Well, it was damned obvious.

Rajin lowered his upper body before he sprinted, letting out a vicious growl. Ignoring the pain throbbing on his side, the tiger tried to quicken up his pace as he was heading straight for the warrior. There was no way he was going after the bandits. He was already been nearly burned enough. It was a good thing his ally was a beorc. Surely, that guy could handle his weakness for him. Well then, let's see how well the warrior could handle with this tiger after him.

((I would write down more about the battle with the warrior, but I don't want to make a TL biggrin R post... Well, LONGER than it is... .__.; ))

That bloody archer was getting on the nerves of Zeiss and the best thing for him to do was give chase after the archer that started to flee once he was getting close. The nerve of that archer...couldn't stay still to accept death. Oh once he would catch that archer he would die.

A shame that he decided to book it after the third time of Zeiss getting close. This truly pissed the wyvern rider off, and the only weapon on him was his Steel Lance...oh bloody hell, why didn't he get any other ranged weapons? That archer was lucky enough that he ran from the battle terrified of whatever was behind Zeiss, so he started to retreat back to where Ephraim was, only to notice that an assassin had a knife to his throat.

Although while Zeiss wasn't the one taking action to attack the assassin, Rubley was still in the air around his ally. When the assassin got close to Ephraim and put a knife to his throat, the best thing to do was attack the enemy after the ally. So while the assassin was talking about his this was the end of Ephraim, the giant shadow was stalking its prey. Finally the chance showed itself, and the wyvern swooped down and brought down one claw on the arm with the dagger to Ephraim's neck, and bringing the other claw down upon the assassin's neck.

I feel like I can face the day...
...and I can forgive.

♦ ◄ALIHI► ♦

The more she stood around, attacking the occasional bandit that went her way but was otherwise virtually ignored, the more she realized how hopeless and idiotic it was that she was there.

She couldn't command others; they wouldn't be able to hear her over all the other sounds, and that would only draw attention to herself.

Fighting was an option, but how long could she last? She was only human. She didn't have super strength or stamina. Eventually, she would have to back down and hope that it wouldn't get her killed.

Biting back a curse, she glanced around. They had to stop this group. If Learania lost here, then they could easily get to Eyris and, in the worst case, take over. She wanted to be by Amara's side, to be sure that she was alright, but she didn't want to abandon the battlefield. The pressure was on, as usual, and Alihi was handling it well. Her decision was shaky and hesitant, but she intended to trust the soldiers that Amara went off with and fight.

That is, until she saw Abel fighting with Drake.

You have got to be ******** kidding me, mind. She snapped mentally, turning away for a moment. But nope, her mind wasn't playing tricks on her. Abel was fighting somebody who she could tell would not be easy to beat. There was something . . . interesting about it, though. It wasn't a simple battle between strangers; she felt that it was more than that.

She didn't trust the hero to fight, but at that point, her own feelings didn't even matter.

If I'm wrong about this, I'll regret it later. If I'm making the wrong decision, I'll regret it later. It's an established fact that no matter what I do, I'll regret it later.

But for now . . .

Alihi turn and ran, heading in the direction of Amara and the departing soldiers.

I have to act.

(( ooc :: Until further notice, consider me out of the event. I've got just way too much on my plate to deal with to feel obligated to participate in something like this. I'm not going into specifics here, but if you really want to know, bring it up with me privately.

DO NOT PUPPET MY CHARACTERS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION FIRST. I am serious about this. ._. This, of course, means Alihi, Amara, Akihi, and Nils. ))

And I'm not ashamed to be...
...the person that I am today.

"Go! Go, go, go! To safety, sir, but not too far—I must be able to catch up with you after I give my assistance!"

"And what makes yeh think I'll stay?!"

"Another payment of three times the normal!"

"...Horsefeathers! This ain't worth sticking my neck out for..."

While man steered his horse away, careful not to go at such a pace that would cause his wagon to fall apart, Ash took up her tome and staff and surveyed the current situation. That swordsman had gone off to cross blades with someone else, and that cat was probably somewhere off to the side.

First him, then the others.

She hurried to find the laguz. From what she'd been able to tell, his ribs were ailing him. He didn't need any further impediments on his performance.

"Hold still!" Ash ordered the cat. She approached him as a healing touch gathered at her fingertrips.

((And...Sunil ended up with very horrible luck tonight. He had ten rolls that were less than 30 on the 100 dice before getting something slightly higher.))

Now that the water was out of his ears, he could finally settle on the matter before him. In this case, the bandit he was sitting on. But before he could swipe at the man's expose neck or at least pin his arms down, Drake began to elbow him. Some strikes his muscles ended up absorbing, but the elbow to the ribs and his underside did some considerable damage, especially the hits to the cracked ribs. The cat stumbled off of Drake, hacking up a bit of blood.

When the pain subsided for the moment, he glared up at his attacker. His tail and ears drooped when he saw that the bandit had already reclaimed his weapon and was preparing to catch him with flat side again. He tried to crouch down and get as low as he possibly could to the ground to evade the strike, but the pain in his ribs returned in full force. The cat staggered mere moments before the sword collided into him again.

Sunil was sent flying once more, crashing into a building and further damaging his body. The cat slumped onto the ground. He struggled to find the strength to get back onto his feet, but his ribs were screaming in pain. Hell, after that hit, the cat was surprised his ribs hadn't altogether shattered and delved into some serious internal bleeding. Or maybe he was and he just too numb from the hit to notice it.

After some effort, he found his feet and was standing again. The slightest touch, however, would knock him over, and it was very unlikely that he would be able to stand up again in his condition. Blood flowed freely from his head from where his head had connected with the wall, dying his blue fur a shade of crimson. He was feeling very lightheaded now. Faint footsteps coming from his side informed Sunil that someone had approached him, but he was at the mercy of whoever it was. It was taking all his strength just to stand right now.

A female voice spoke, telling him to hold still. A faint warmth coming from her hand. Was she a healer on their side, or a bandit with fire magic? Well...it didn't matter. The pain was unbearable. He did as he was told, his eyelids drooping.

His fate now rested in this woman's hands.

Morgan

After disappearing from the Christmas event, Morgan had spent even more time wandering about this world. While war had broken out, he found this tiny village to lay low in for a while. However, it seemed that now, he would be dragged into the fray.

The bandits charged into the village, setting houses on fire and killing citizens immeadiately. Even though some Learanian troops were here, but they were all wounded from previous battles. Against his self-preserving instincts to stay out of it, he decided to help whomever he could. These guys would need all of the fighters that they could get.

An Elfire tome in his hands and a couple of vulenaries on supply, Morgan assesed the situation. Damn, there were bandits everywhere, weren't there? Trained assassins among them too...The merchant's son had never experienced a battle like this (not that he had experienced many battles, heh). He supposed he should just stay out of the main fray and assist anyone that he could.

But who?
