Kotone blushed a little at herself for not knowing what she wanted to say. She searched for the words, the ones that she had heard so many say but thought she herself would never hear... "I... I love you, Jupiter..." her voice was still quiet, she hoped he could hear her. She studied his features, almost shy, gently brushing her hand against his cheek. She really hadn't known what to expect when she had first met him.

His eyes widened slightly at her confession, only able to hear it because they were so close together. Love. The big "L" word. Said by many, true for few. It meandered through his mind, tickling here and poking there. Blood rushed to his head, swelling it proudly. Could there be a luckier syrin out there besides him? As easily as the words slipped from his own mouth, they rang true in his mind. He wasn't saying it just to get the girl. "I love you, too." Fingers running through her hair, he pulled her up for another, slightly deeper kiss than before.

Kotone was almost as surprised about her confession as he was, but she didn't let that show. She smiled when he returned the words, knowing in her heart and from the way he kissed her this time they were true. Slowly, she wrapped her arms around his neck, her fingers gently intertwining with his hair. She didn't want him to ever let her go.

When he finally broke the kiss, Jupiter found it hard to move. He pulled Kotone firmly to his chest, nuzzling his nose into her hair. "Since, you love me, and I love you, does that make it...?" Frowning as he tried to form the word. "I mean, instead of being you and me... does this make it, you know... Us?" Us with a capital "u". Were they together now? So many times he'd just swum into relationships, he wanted to make sure they were thinking the same thing.

Kotone closed her eyes, feeling very at home in his arms. Snuggling close to his chest, nodded at his question, feeling giddy and excited. "Yes... yes, it's Us now.." She wanted to be with him. It made her happy to think that he wanted to be with her as well. Love was such a warm and confusing emotion.

Arms wrapped around her, Jupiter was glad he had agreed to be her body guard. Even if he had only been half joking at first, he knew he would do anything now to keep her safe. It felt like it had been so long ago, those months between now and when they'd met and he'd made his promise... Had he known back then? Was that why he'd done it?
It was an interesting thought as he held onto Kotone. "Us..." Grinning, he held tight to his love with one arm and pushed away from the rock with the other, lifting her into the water and spinning into a dance of sorts, laughing as they moved.

Kotone gasped when they first began to move, but relaxed and laughed softly as he moved with her, her eyes once again traveling over his face. She had a thought. "You don't have to just live near me now, you know... After all, we're going to be traveling together so why not start living together?" She was a little unsure to how he would react to the proposition, but she hoped it would go over well..

Happily dancing away, her idea made him slow into a gentle spin. "Well, I suppose you're right. Besides travelling together, that's what couples do, right? They live together." His tail flicked, sending them up toward the brighter and warmer water closer to the surface.

The more they talked about being couples and spending time together, the more confident she began to feel. She smiled, her arms wrapped loosely around him to keep him close but not to hinder his movements. Gradually, as the water became lighter, she could see his features better. He was stunning, every time she laid eyes upon him, her tail moving slightly with his. "We would be even closer then, too." It seemed almost unnecessary to talk, but also that there was so much to say.

"Closer." He chuckled, giving her waist a squeeze, watching the growing sunlight play in her hair and light her features. "Closer is all I want to be with you."

Kotone blushed, feeling proud that she could be loved by someone like Jupiter. She was glad she had approached him, and even more so that he had offered to be her bodyguard and to sing with her. She reached up to gently brush his bangs. "I could take you there, if you like.."

She was going to take him to her home. But no parents waited, no scrutinizing dad or force-feeding mom. No screaming siblings. Just her... and him. "That would be good. Maybe we should stop at my place first and I'll grab my things?" He grinned excitedly. Moving in with Kotone. Wow.

Kotone blushed at herself for not remembering he needed to grab his things. "Yes, of course. Let's stop by there first. I can help you with your things if you would like." She was excited. It would be him and her.. alone... but she trusted him. They were together now, and she hoped they always would be.

"Okay. Most of what I have we can probably leave there, so it shouldn't be too hard." Holding her hand, he started to swim back the way they had come, passing the old ship again. "You said a labyrinth. Is there a lot of space where you live?"

Kotone smiled, keeping a tight grip on his hand. "Their is a fair amount. Inside the labyrinth it's very easy to get lost," she laughed a little "So I only live in a little piece off to the side." Her mind went to thinking about where she was currently living. "If we needed to, though, we could take up more space. No one else stays there much that I know of. Since I was living alone, it seemed like it would be lonely to live in a much bigger part."
