Yua smiled as she watched Oasis play with the dog, and then she walked next to Hatsuma, she smiled as she looked over Hatsuma’s head at the map, it felt odd to be taller than the other girls she was normally the shortest but she was older so it was to be expected that she was taller. Yua was disappointed in the quality of the map, but she wondered if the others where this bad, it looks as though it was someone’s child’s doodle. But it would have to do Yua looked at the map then looked around, there was no way of telling if they where in the right spot or not, or which direction to go, But Yua had experience with swamps and forests where she was sure, the Sand ninja really didn’t. “Ok guys keep this a secret please.” Yua said as she stepped up on a large root sticking out of the ground, and unraveled her scroll then she made two quick seals and slapped her hand down on the scroll, and a very large puff of smoke appeared, when the smoke slowly cleared standing almost seven feet tall in front of Yua was a large fat wooded man, he had long gangly like arms, with long awkward gangly fingers. His legs where made of a type of tube that obviously could compress and shrink to make him jump, he had Razor sharp claws at the bottoms of his feet. His face was shaped much like that of a Buddha statue he had a prominent brow, his eyes sunken back they where beady and small, above his brow right on his forehead was a mark that looked much like a skull but it was slightly off and obviously not a human skull, his only clothing was a thick old mud red scarf that hung wide a loosely from his neck. The Puppet stood tall, and Yua smirked as she jumped up onto it’s shoulder and twitched her fingers to make it’s arm raise and grip her leg to hold her in place, as it moved a made creaking kind of sound.
Yua smirked and then twitched her fingers once more and Senkai bent down it’s legs compressing till it was only standing at about four foot tall, and then she grinned and pointed up with her left hand and twitched two of her fingers on her right and he leaped up through the air, high through the trees, as he got higher her moved his hand with Yua’s help of coarse and gripped her bottom throwing her as high as he could and over the tops of the tress, Yua quickly scanned the area before falling back into Senkai’s arms and then he fell and landed back on the root with a very large tudd, his compression legs absorbing all the impact. “Ok I think I figured out the area we are in, we should move quickly.” Yua said as she looked as Senkai and place her left hand against his stomach and then poked the skull on his head and in a puff of smoke he returned to the scroll, which Yua hoisted on her back.

’I shall fight to honor the name of Kaiten, the name of my father…
Erkamina didn't wait for an answer but she made a 'follow me' hand sign to the other two and started towards the forest. She was looking for tracks on the ground but it was hard to see anything because of the fog. She sighed and shook her head. What she wouldn't give to be a tracker nin right now. At least then she would have a shred of a chance at finding this dog before time was up for this test. She had already been waiting for too long to find this place so finding the dog had to be done quickly. And with this fog worsening as time went on she had to get this done as soon as possible. She listened for the dog scratching as it ran, something that sprinting would cause, and tried to pinpoint where-ever it was based on sound and tracks as she walked around the forest. Periodically she would also look around for traps or ambushes but thus far it was fairly quiet. Maybe the traps were all concentrated close to the goal instead of being spread out like the maze. Or maybe because of the fog she couldn't see the traps until she triggered them. A soft sigh escaped from her lips as she continued to try to find the dog, searching for even the smallest clue that she was on the right track.
… Soon I will show the world the worth of that name.’ Quote: OOC- Seeing as it's been a full day I'm assuming that the other two are NPCs, right?

Hatsuma observed Yua as she pulled a scroll down and quickly released the item that was within. It was a rather unique puppet, it wasn't that surprising since the origins of the puppeteering shinobi began in wind country. It seemed to gain popularity in the other countries over the years so the fact another country gained a puppeteer shinobi or two was likely to happen. "I will not give away your technique to others..." Hatsuma responded bluntly before Yua flew off into the air to inspect their current location before landing again after a few moments and declaring the information she had gather from her 'space expedition'. "Good, and moving out is definitely a necessity now... it might be wiser to find another way to scan the area next time, after all we are against other teams of shinobi and if it's like the maze there will be limited resources for us to utilize..." Hatsuma explained briefly not intending to sound scolding however she likely did anyways thanks to her nature."Where are we located on this map? I'll be able to plot the course from this location assuming the path is at least remotely accurate..." She questioned looking to Yua since she had the needed information to answer this question.

Oasis took a deep breath feeling something about the water around them, she turned and looked at Yua when she said something about a secret, she couldn't help but giggle lightly when she saw the puppet, why did she want it kept secret, cause it was fat? "Uh, Okay Oasis will keep your secret, but... why would you want to hide it? You should be proud of your techniques, unless you are jus tryin' to be sneaky with it sos you can surprise people with it, then I gets it." she states with a grin. She turned and looked back into the swamp, she was happy to be with this group, but she was unhappy about failing the first test so she needed to be more serious this time so she could pass this one, not to mention she was actually given a group this time and not some oddball senseless invisible requirement. She watched as the odd looking puppet launched into the air with Yua on its shoulders and tossed her even higher, it seemed she went really high up, it was a good thing that the puppet was there to catch her. "Okay, I don't know which way you guys intend on going. However, a second ago I think I felt something in the water around this area..." Oasis states as she turned and looked at the swamp quizzically for a few moments. “I think it might be the most direct way to travel to the base... See I feel the water everywhere except for a few tight areas, and the one I feel right now, it seems to relatively speaking match up with the place pointed out on the map.” she states as she pointed at Hatsuma referencing the map. “So... I think the way to go will be easier if I do something.” she adds as she closed her eyes for a moment and knelt to the swampy ground she pressed her hands against the wet earth and closed her eyes. “Heh, here's something for you to keep secret Yua.” Oasis states teasingly as her eyes began to glow, though they were currently closed so it wasn't visible, what was visible was the blue marks on her body as they began to glow sky blue like her eyes. She eventually lifted her head, she opened her eyes and stared out at the swamp in front of her. “That way.” she states in a uncharacteristic serious sounding voice. What followed next is what was most interesting however. Oasis pressed her hands into the ground water spilling up over her hands then with a strange jerking motion she brought her hands up out of the water and a massive wave of water followed the gems on her sides glowed slightly as well as the water wave grew massive and from the end of the wave multiple dragon shaped heads appeared and raced through the swamp as they came to a tree the dragons crushed through it, Hatsuma was right that they were against other teams, but it wasn't a competition of sneak away from the teams it was a competition of speed and getting to the goal and completing it as quickly as possible. She held her hands up the water obviously connected to her and the length of the dragons feeding off the extending water at their feet and as the water began to thin the dragons slowly collapsed back into the mud. Once her attack came to an end Oasis shook her hands out and the glow faded from her entirely before she turned to look back to her group, a large path was now presented to them through the swamp. “Lets go that way.” she states with a smile before turning and walking down the path she had created.. Oasis quickly darted down the path she created knowing full well her team would be right behind her. It wasn't a completely straight path it curved some but the nature of her attack made the path all to easy to follow. Oasis zoomed along the path making notes about a few things she saw before skittering to a halt when she took note of some strange vines that she was approaching.

Yua smiled when both girls said they would keep Senkai a secret, but then Yua went to point out where they where on the map when oasis began her stunning display, Yua watched all of the attack, she stood there with her jaw open staring at what had just happened when she realized she was staring she shook her head and pointed at the spot on the map, then followed Oasis. Yua hadn't gotten a chance to say she would keep it secret, but she would, there was no reason why she would betray her new friend. Yua quickly followed along behind Oasis, she hoped Hatsuma would follow, as she moved as fast as she could. Yua was completely in shock at whats she had just seen little Oasis perform, what was that technique and what was with the glowing lines. Yua didn't have time to question it as she stopped near Oasis and looked at the odd vines.

((roll vs vine trap, will post maths and such as well as a IC post which will be determined by the roll I get :3... failed 40% chance lol... ))
Hatsuma had caught up with the other two and took note of the strange vines writhing along the ground... not just writhing but moving towards them... similar to snakes, only plants. Suddenly one burst to life towards Yua who still seemed a bit aw struck by the whole ordeal. The vines shot to life and flew forth like whips lashing with frightening precision. The glossiness on them was more then likely a secretion rather then the water that riddled the swamp floor. Without saying a word Hatsuma bolted forward and shove Yua away with the force of her two left arms. The vine whips lashed with quite the force causing Hatsuma to spin about with a uncharacteristic yelp of pain as she crumpled to the ground after the whips retracted to strike again later. Hatsuma's senses felt fogged she could already tell something wasn't right... it might be best to wait a moment and see if her head could clear.
((there a reason why Yua didn't dodge yet XD; interception > w> ))

Notwen was thinking of where Yuki had gone when the blonde Yamanaka appeared. Now that the whole team was briefed, they began to move out. Notwen was re-rolling the scroll when he caught Yuki's 'follow' signal. He stashed the scroll in his bag and followed quickly after them, then remembered the little intrusion on Yuki's part when they met. Notwen caught up to the Yamanaka, taking care not to make physical contact with him. From what i have learned from Soba-sensei, the Yamanaka's are skilled in using mind control, as well mind-tracing techniques. So Yuki most likely tried to read my mind. Why do people have such a hard time trusting me? he thought sighing. Back in the maze, he tried to help the white-uniformed kid get a stone, but that backfired since someone had gotten it before him. That mishap cost him the stone. Notwen was not going to let trust issues cost him another test. He moved closer to Yuki, and keeping his gaze forward, Notwen spoke his mind. "Look, Yuki. I know what you did back at the meeting point. I personally have no reason to lie to anyone. So by you betraying my trust, and trying to pry information from me by force, you have lost trust points in my book. I don't know if that's how you go about meeting people, but there are some things best left unknown." With that, Notwen shot off in Hisaki's direction. If anything he would discuss the subject with the Yamanaka later, but now was not the time. The going was steady. Notwen tried to compare the swamp to the Makry Island forest. Here, the trees were gnarled and slippery due to the fungi that thrived on the moisture and lack of light. Traveling on the ground was dangerous because if one was not careful, the bog would suck them in. The smell of decaying matter was heavier now since the group had ventured inwards, away from the clearing and the gate. Notwen couldn't see far due to the branches, so to restore his visibility, he closed his eyes and activated the thermal scan. Immediately Notwen was seeing in infrared. Much of his sight was a dull red color. There were two bright blips in the thermal map, Hisaki directly ahead, and Yuki a bit behind. He continued to jump from branch to branch, using his chakra control to keep himself from falling. After a while Notwen began to see a change in his surroundings. The trees thinned out and the ground began to get warmer, which probably meant it was getting firmer. "Hey Hisaki, we'll be out of the swamp in a few yards. Start making for the area with the weakened thorns." he called ahead, turning around to address Yuki, "We'll be getting to the thorn moat soon. Hurry up!"

Hisaki looked backward as he leaped from tree to tree taking some consideration into what Notwen was saying to Yuki. Apparently, Yuki did a quick probe of Notwen's mind when they shook hands, causing Notwen to think that Yuki didn't trust him. Now Notwen didn't trust Yuki either. Hisaki looked forward again, his rage subsided by the quick eavesdropping and thought, So much for teamwork. I'm glad everyone's trying so hard... I can understand Notwen's mistrust after getting his mind probed, but Yuki's initial thing was a bit over the top. He'd better work on some stealth with that stupid thing before he tries it on somebody again. As long as they both trust me, I guess everything should be ok, but their damn issues better not screw up this mission on me. I want to at least get a single point from this stupid place.
Hisaki saw with his three-hundred sixty degree vision that Notwen had left Yuki in the dust and put himself in between Yuki and Hisaki. Hisaki accepted the relayed information, and concentrated momentarily at the vanishing swampland.
Hisaki grunted, "The moat, that's right..." Hisaki stopped on a treebranch has he said the words. He held out his hand to signal a stop, "It's just outside the next few trees. We aren't sure yet how far these vines can reach, or whether they're aggressive at range. To be honest, we don't know much other than the fact that they are vines and that they do genjutsu."
Hisaki hopped the next few branches forward, and got to the edge of the moat. Just like the map said, there was a huge area full of root-like vines. They made up the entire forest floor up until the walls. Hisaki saw the rotted area not far off, so he signaled to his teammates to travel clockwise around the moat. As he traveled from tree to tree, he announced, "I'll head down first. You guys follow after, ok?"
Upon reaching the dead zone, Hisaki jumped down onto the murky water, and suspended himself with the Water Walking Jutsu. The water was very still, so it was extremely easy to stand on. Hisaki watched the motionless, vegetation covered shoreline. It was very quiet on the shore, and almost eerie. The vines were knarles and twisting, like a huge pile of giant snakes. Little dots of purple shined in the light. Each dot, Hisaki noticed, was an ominous violet thorn.
So far, there weren't any attacks to speak of, so he called over the other two in his normal half-kidding tone, "Hey guys! Jump in! The water's fine!"

Fuyu looked over towards Aya and sighed again. Teams weren't suppost to be like this but he guessed that their were a few teams like this out and about even though he pondered on their success rates. He mentally shrugged and walked with his new team-mate as she tracked the dog. This wasn't his style though, just walking to his target wasn't normal. He normally would be looking for tracks in the ground and such but with a differnent team there was a different strategy. He turned his head over to Aya as she started to speak. " I'm not sure the phrase 'He seem really into this' is the phrase I'd be using." He was just going to leave him comment there and let her ask if she wished later on. He nodded to the rest of her comment though as they both ended up walking until they got to the dog in which they paused for a moment. He watched Aya go and obtain that scroll from the dog. He looked over her shoulder for a moment and knew that he couldn't see it. It was just a blank white space to him but he though he would get some help from Fujin. " One moment their Aya, I just need to touch this..." Fuyu reached over and around Aya as she held the scroll and placed his hand on the corner .With that, a strong wind blew across everyone and struck Fuyu as the main focus of this wind blast thingy. Suddenly the images on the scroll were implanted into his memory. Thanks Fujin, I'm guessing that's my help for this part?. There was no mental responce but he knew that it was. He looked over at Aya and sighed. " This map sucks.... you know that right?" he stated bluntly as he took his hand back and pondered for a moment. " I am also a tracking nin, but being in my condition you're better suited. My advice? I'm thinking do a slow span on the route that is given. Just wide enough so that we can see eachother but close enough to let everyone know about the traps that are around us. Plus, if we go slow, there's a better chance that we can spot the traps before we get caught in them." That was his idea anyways, but if there was something else that they had in mind he'd take those into mind as well. Quote: Stage 1 - 100/100 lines Stage 2/3 - 59/100 lines

Oasis Had been rather enthralled looking at the strange vines and sensing the strange fluids in them, she could tell it wasn't water, but what was it really? She blinked a few times as Yua came to a stop by her "Look, the vines are moving." she states lightly as she pointed at the strange vines upon which seemingly on cue the vine sprang to life and launched at Yua. Oasis turned to do something yet was unable to do anything in time as Hatsuma shoved Yua away and was struck by the vines. "Hatsuma!" Oasis shouts suddenly and instantly she retrieved a small medics kit from her side unrolling it she pulled out something that was supposed to help with strange venoms. "Hatsuma-tan, Oasis is going to remove the toxin. I can tell the plant attacked a toxin of some kind, so just sit still." she states in a very sturdy tone as she descended on Hatsuma her medic shinobi side shining brightly as she moved on her downed comrade. The shawl around her neck seemed to shimmer with her sudden movement. "Yua, try to be extra careful with the vines, we need to go through them to get to the base, there doesn't seem to be any path around or over..." she states as her hands began to glow slightly. She then lightly slid her fingers across the top of a shallow green container putting a light skim of the substance on her finger tips before moving her hand to the blase where the vine had slashed Hatsuma sliding the substance across the wound she sent chakra in with it to remove the toxins. Oasis had a strangely stern look on her face, most of the time she was spastic and seemingly aimless, however when it came to her true calling in life she was a genius, Oasis was surely a genius healer.
Oasis held her hands still for a long period of time until finally moving her hands from Hatsuma pulling a strange substance up from the wound she pulled it through a bubble of water that she summoned up and then through the water sent the substance into a little vial at her side, all things in life were a chance to learn, she had just learned something interesting with these plants.

Quote: Rolling to get across the vines: (agi (10 + 10 (side step))x2 vs. 150 40 vs. 150 = 39% Failed. Big surprise. Hisaki waved off his teammates before saying, "I'll try to get across first." Hisaki dashed in, and as soon as he touched shore, the vines sprung to life. Hisaki drew his Sword of Oblivion, and slashed and slayed his way through hoards of wiggling vines. With each slash, a splash of pressurized green goo would spray just like blood. It didn't take too long for Hisaki to reach the other side. Hisaki turned around, and said, "That was a snap! You're guy's turn!" However, instead of the woods and swamp, he saw a swirling mass of colors. There was a tear in the kaledoscope. Something that made him think of his leg. Instantly, Hisaki's muddled mind connected the experience with the thorns of the plants. Hisaki looked around and found himseld trapped in a nightmarish swirl of running colors, emotions, feelings, and sounds. As everything began to make him dizzy and light headed, he sighed, and simply said, "I friggen hate genjutsu..."

Hatsuma felt the toxins get a strangle hold on her mind. Hatsuma saw many strange things running about as she sat there stuck in the toxens. She'd have to escape. "Hm how to get out of this..." She stated to herself as she stood in a swirling vortex of confusion. Black shadows beat their wings as they swarmed about in the swirling colors. One might become sick from the vision before them however Hatsuma had gained a strong stomach to rapid changes in scenery and motions. She began to walk about looking around the endlessly repetitive plane which she assumed was her mind, that or it was merely an illusion and she was going to be wandering the swamplands in which case her team should be able to support her unless they had been hit by the toxin drenched whips as well. after a few moments she began hearing voices overlapping. they were voices from her memories both present and past, they were indecipherable as they blended together. Hatsuma would rather not have the voices separate as it might mean she was drifting away from reality even further. she heard a rather familiar voice echo out over the others and it seemed to cause the swirling scenery to fluctuate. "Hatsuma!" it shouted... it was Oasis. as soon as she took note of who the voice belonged to a light began to appear amongst the swirling colors. the interrupting light was like a hole and it began to spread wider. The light began to level out and the area that she had been before the vines struck came into view. she was looking up at the sky and through the trees hearing only a mumbling from Oasis who was hunched over her using her skills as a shinobi to bring Hatsuma back to reality. soon the swirling colors seemed to leave her vision completely and the ambiance of reality returned once more. Hatsuma propped herself up and nodded in thanks to Oasis still a bit groggy from the toxins. After a moment she felt the ability to speak clearly return to her. "The toxins in those vines cause hallucinations and disorient the victim, don't get hit by them..." Hatsuma stated in the stoic tone that matched her seemingly permanent expression. She looked around rather glad to have gotten a medical shinobi on their team.

Oasis smiled as she saw Hatsuma coming back around. "Oh, good. My medic training paid off yay!" she cheers as she listened to Hatsuma tell her about the toxin. "Oh... Hey, I know, this shawl maybe you can use it to protect your arms and stuff from the vines, and like, its really warm and I've felt extra lucky since I started wearing it." Oasis states lightly as she pulled amaterasu's shawl from her shoulders and unwrapped it from around her neck. "So, if you are going to try to pass through those vines again why not try with some added luck?" she states as she held the rather golden colored item to Hatsuma. "See if it helps, I bet it will. Apparently my aunt Ammy made." she states with a big grin. She turned to look at Yua, "Maybe let her try going through first, then we can follow?" she says curiously to her second, and temporary team mate.
