"Sorry but birds don't get that big around here." He Odi said smiling for a moment then thinking it over. Two days he could easily lie, Sin probably only care if he doesn't come back. "I can make the run." He said smiling at her. He was an endurance runner so he'll be able to semi keep up at least. "I'm for it if you are. Were still looking for new memebers so I'll just say I went searching." He said smiling stretching his legs again.
((Lol, he can try and keep up!))

Ara grinned. Her specialty was short, quick bursts of speed that left other modis tripping over their feet with a mouthful of dust. She had developed an edurance run though, since sometimes fast travel was better. That was the reason she gave, but really she learned how to keep running for long periods so she could win games.
"Let's see how you run then," she said, and, with a powerful shove from her hindlegs, dashed off into the forest.
((If you want you can timeskip them to the ocean, otherwise I can do it in my next post.))

((Sure I'll do it))
Odi didn't know if he was even running in the right direction now. All he was doing was running as fast as he could while relying on his endurance. As he ran he suddenly felt the ground become softer and weird. He slowed down to a jog and looked at the ground seeing the soil was becoming loosely and sandy.
Finally he slowed to a stop as he saw a sand dune and could hear the waves. He sighed silently to himself and forced his muscles to work as he ran up the dune to suddenly view the ocean. His chest heaving he didn't know what to think.

((This is what they'd be seeing now [X] and this is what they'll see if they stay overnight 'til morning [X] Maybe more foresty than palm trees, but close enough XD Just to set the mental image.))Ara had already reached the small hill that acted as a natural water-breaker for the shore. The red and white-speckled female was panting. It had been awhile since she'd had to run so far at that pace. Exhausting, but somehow exhilerating! She turned to look at Odi as he came up beside her. There was something in the way his body language that made her think he wasn't too impressed. She looked back over the waters. "You can't really see the color too much now, this late at night, but in the morning the water is such a beautiful color!" She took a deep breath of the air. Ocean air smelled wonderful to Ara, who lived in forests for the most part. She glanced at Odi out of the corner of her eye to see in which direction his opinion fell.

((I understand what you mean lol. I never seen a foresty beach before XD))
Odi watched the water for a moment his body slowly growning cold as he watched the huge expanse of water. As he watched it he could almost picture giant monsters jumping out of the water and attacking people. "I can't wait to see it with you..." He said licking his lips as he started moving toward it. He caught a glimpse of her looking at him and he wanted to make sure she didn't think he wasn't having fun.
As he moved closer to the water he stopped a few feet from the waves his chest still heaving. "Thanks for bringing me out here." He said smiling back at her. In his mind though the little kit who was told monster existed in the water had fallen in was running back and forth crying.

Ara frowned a little, gently nudging Odi's shoulder. "What's wrong? You seem a bit.........-" She hesitated, not quite sure what word to use. "Tense," she finished, since it seemed to closest to what she meant. Waves gently lapped against the shore, and Ara trotted a few steps forward so that the cool salt water rushed around her fur. She giggled, wiggling her toes and enjoying the cool feeling. She looked back at Odi with a smile as if to say 'see, the water's okay'.

((This is just sad for him lol.))
Odi looked sideways at her as she spoke and gave her a small smile that was tense by it's self. "Just tired from the run. I'm fine really." He said looking back at the water. His eye's took in how the land seemed to be swallowed alive. Seeing her enter the water he felt his body feel like a spring and he kept thinking it over.
Finally he gave himself a pep talk and walked into the water to her moving slowly, he hated crossing small rivers let alone doing this. "Yeah it is..." He said standing close beside her almost frozen in place.

((XD Love makes fools of us all! I'd love hearing Odi explain this little trip to Sin though *cackles* The mental picture is just too funny!!))
Ara frowned a bit. She could tell Odi was lying through his teeth, and was trying to puzzle out why. Most weren't scared of the actual water itself, so much as other things that came with water. Drowning, bathes, critters nibbling on your toes, that sort of stuff. She wasn't really sure what exactly bothered Odi about the water, but it was still a little sad to see him so.....stiff.
She leaned her body lightly against his, hoping the nearness of a companion might help. "You're a terrible liar, you know." She said it quite matter-of-fact, with a hint of amused fondness.

((Lmfao, yeah that would be so funny. Maybe he'll get the chance if Yushika posts soon.))
Odi looked sideways at her for a moment then looked down with a frown on his face. He knew she could tell he was afraid, and it made him angry at himself. He stared that cobra in the eyes before he even controlled it with no fear but now he felt like he was about to cry.
When she leaned against him he felt his heart skip a beat and looked at her his face red. "...I don't normally lie." He said giving up on his bluff.

Ara's smile was gentle and sweet. "I imagine you normally don't have to. It's the water, isn't it." The last sentence, more of a statement, was spoken in a voice just above the whisper. Still leaning against the male, Ara looked out over the ocean. "It's not the water itself, is it?"
A small voice in her brain was marveling over how comfortable it felt to be leaning against Odi, and how nice the warmth felt. She wasn't quite sure what the voice was getting at, but agreed with it.

He listened to her silently then sighed looking down at the water a small fish slipped past him and he locked up worse then looked back at her. He could of lied or just walk off but he didn't.
"It's not all the water...when I was a kit my father would always mess with my head by telling me sea monster stories. And one day I didn't do something the way he wanted and he threw me into the river. When I started to swim something big and scalely attacked me. It hissed and tried to take me with it. I passed out and woke up with my mom curled around me." He said looking down at the water. "Ever since I haven't like the water but I can deal with it. But...going in it I think back to that monster..." His voice was above a whisper.

Ara moved forward a little so she could manuever her upper body slightly in front of Odi. It was more of a reaction that a command. Not that anything would come up out of the sea to grab them, but still.
"Your father sounds quite horrible." She tucked her head so that it wasn't quite under his chin, but rather closer to his chest. She could hear his heart's rapid beating, and feel the slightly fast breath. "Would you like to get out of the water? We could walk along the sand instead. Nothing here can survive out of the water, save a few harmless plant eaters like turtles or crabs."

Odi mind had drifted back to that day and his body could feel the water and the feel of the creature against his body. His young body had healed up the wounds with minimal scaring and his fur grew back but he could almost feel the places he had got bit and the scales against his skin. Coming back he was taken aback seeing Ara protecting him from the sea. Then noticing her close to him like this left him stunned for a moment.
"Y-yes he was. No...I'm being irrational." He said smiling at her.

Ara smiled a little. It was quite nice, feeling his chest rumble under her ear as she talked. The sun has finished it's fall past the water, and now the moon glowed brightly. It was almost full, maybe another day or two until. It turned the surface of the ocean silver and gave everything an air of mystery by bleaching away color. The bright yellow of Odi's coat stood out interestingly in the effect. The scattered white star-looking patterns of her own coat also stood out.
"We'll have to move anyway, the water's going to rise. And I doubt I fancy sleeping in salt water any more than you do!" She chuckled a little.

He watched her silently as a smile appeared on her face. He couldn't tell if she was enjoying his heart or if this was some twisted joke. As he watched the moon cover her his eyes fell on his pelt and he couldn't help but admire it. As she spoke he blinked and looked at her. "Oh umm yeah." He said turning around slowly. He grudgingly turned around and walked back to the beach. Feeling his feet meet dry sand he laid down comfortably under a palm then went back to siently admiring her.
He didn't know why but he wanted to go over to her side so bad.
