Continuing with her evaulation, Haruko mentally checked off stuff from her checklist on Shisu's performance. 'Good, she let the student choose the location. This can also be considered a slight judgement test to see if they can decide for themselves which area will work best for them. It never hurts to have the homefield advantage.' Tilting her head slightly in curiousity at her student's sudden sigh, she wondered if he was getting cold-feet about the fight. 'The first fight can always be nervewracking. I know I was when I had to face off against Death-sensei, even now I still get a bit anxious of the unknown.'

Nodding her head in approval of Shusou's choice of location, Haruko wondered just how well this will actually work to his advantage. 'The field is a big space, theres not much space to hide but for someone who perfers fighting close range, this would be most ideal. Not to mention his element is also Doton, he'll have an endless supply of earth at his disposal.' Keeping her back turned towards the group, Haruko began making her way towards the windows. "Alright then, lets head out, I'm interested to see how you'll do. How both of you will do." Inconspicously indicating to Shisu that her examination is still not over yet and to keep doing her best. Opening the window completely, Haruko hopped onto the windows ledge making sure to hold on to the side with her right hand while her left went towards the pendant hanging from her neck.
After applying some of her chakra to it, a cloud of smoke appeared right outside of the window and Haruko confindently jumped towards the cloud. As the smoke cleared, Haruko was sitting calmly on the back of a large orange swallow. "Well, Rei and I are gonna head over there first to make sure the field is all cleared for your sparring section. Make sure to close the window Shisu, I would hate for the paperwork to get messed up." Saying the last bit as a sort of tease having noticed Shisu's 'need' to keep things in order. Lightly tapping Rei's side with her feet, the two of them took of towards the training grounds.

{Sry bout the late post. Been crammed with summer school quizes and test for the past week meaning that I wasn't really in the right train of thought needed to come up with a post (basically, writer's block). Once again sorry for the delay.

@Vermillion: Great to hear. Its always good to take a look at others roleplay style/format if your not sure where to start. I do that sometimes too but its always good to develop your own personal way of posting. Its not like anyone can complain much unless the words are just all stuck together and you can't tell what is speech and what is plain writing.}

'She can fly,' was all Shusou could think as the smoke cleared on the orange bird. Ka seemed to pick up on his thought, as the dog-like chimera whispered something about trying to kill an ant with shoe, and missing. Shusou glared at Ka for a minute before resuming his normal brightness.

He looked up at Shisu and gave a small bow. "I'm ready when you are, Shisu-sensei!" Despite his nervousness, he was looking forward to a test of his skills.


{No problem about the delay. And the Wandering Plains sounds good. Seems to be about the same as the Field Setting; just hillier. ^__^ Also, sorry for the short post, having a bit of writer's block myself. It's too cloudy out to think. Lol.}

Shisu nodded at the student's choice. Ah... back to the Wandering Plains, she thought, remembering her spar there with Death-sensei. Lost in memories, she missed Haruko's walk over to the window and was startled by a puff of smoke. Shisu spun towards the window, a kunai already in her hand, before she relaxed when all she was was Haruko on a giant orange bird. Glancing around, she hoped no one had noticed her ninja tool and stuffed it back into her sleeve, but considered drawing it again at Haruko's jab. Yeah yeah yeah, make fun of the OCD, she thought, grinning though.

Looking back to Shusou, her grin spread and she said, "Race you there, young grasshopper."

Bending down she pulled her special wakizashi out of her boots and winked at Shusou before jumping out of the window Haruko had just exited. Digging her wakizashi into the wall of the academy, Shisu slid down the side of the building before landing safely and running off towards the village gates.
