Vidya looked away politely when he took off his shirt; if anything, she understood it was rude to watch someone undress, even if it was just a shirt. She also seemed to understand that this was his house, and he could do whatever he wanted; besides, why should she care if he slept without his shirt? She wasn't going to complain about it at all however...in fact, the thought never came to her to complain about it.
Blinking as the light was suddenly turned off, Vidya fought to get her nightvision working; easier said than done, considering both her eyes worked in opposite ways. When she had it back, she felt him climb in before she actually saw him, and after a moment's pause, she felt the weight of his wing on her; something she was used to, of course. "Don't worry, I will." Her tone was reassuring; after all, she slept with her massively winged brother at home anyway, and she didn't move a lot in her sleep because of it; infact she barely moved at all, once she was out.
After a moment, she reached out and sought his hand, lightly sliding her own underneath his once she found it, her other hand trapped under her cheek. "Just this once...please?" She murmured softly; he'd done so much for her already, and she felt bad for asking this one last thing of him...but she couldn't help it, she had to try.

Tybalt fidgeted for a moment, trying to find a comfortable position and sighing contentedly once he did so. Sea-blue stared into snow-white--his restless shifting had brought him a little closer to Vidya, but the bed was big enough that there was still ample room for both of them.
He started as her hand found his, hesitating a moment before twining his fingers with hers. "Alright," he conceded softly, gently squeezing her hand. "G'night, Vid."
She really was his weak spot. It bothered him that he wasn't bothered more by it.

Vidya had no reason to fidget; she'd already made herself comfortable...but she was careful to be motionless while Tybalt fidgeted, because if she were to move then, she might lose the comfy spot she'd weaseled herself into. Luckily, she didn't lose it. When he finally rested, she gave him a small smile, but whether he could see it or not was another question. Right now, she didn't mind being so close to him, because right now he was the only thing around her that seemed stable, and that stability was what she needed. On top of that, she found she liked merely being close to him, though for the life of her she couldn't understand why.
Her smile grew when she felt his fingers entwine with hers. "Thank you..." She murmured as softly as she had before. "'Night, Captain." It wasn't until then she allowed her eyes to close, and not unusually, sleep crept up on her rather quickly. Unfortunately, sleep wasn't as peaceful as she had hoped.
In her dreams, she saw the ocean...but that wasn't unusual, for most of her dreams -the ones she remembered, at least- always took place near the ocean. Like it had when she'd found that orb that gave some 'sight' to her left eye, images flashed through her mind, though much slower; the first few were pleasant, of course. She was walking with someone she cared about, but the blurred figure at her side was nothing more than a mix of colours. The figure looked at her and said something; but like the image, the words were blurred; and handed her some scrolls. Various images flashed again, and when they stopped, she felt a sense of disappointment in herself, and though she couldn't understand what she was saying in her dream, it was plain to her that she was begging the blurred figure for forgiveness, just by the tone she had. The images flashed again, only when they stopped this time, she was met with a sharp, stabbing pain against her stomach, the figure standing over her as she fell...
Vidya awoke with a start; it was still night out. Her hand was still comfortably trapped under Tybalts', and she was still on her side, just like when she had first fallen asleep. With her free hand, she felt her stomach; there was nothing there, just a receding throb. With a troubled, but relieved sigh, she chalked it up to her imagination and gave his hand a soft squeeze -for personal comfort, more than anything- and closed her eyes once more, drifting back into sleep until the morning.
Morning, of course, would find her closer to Tybalt than when they had first fallen asleep (after her dream, she had unconsciously shuffled closer to him), her hand still in his, but her other arm was held tightly against her own chest. Naturally, she was still on her side, still facing him.

Vidya's smile was barely visible in the dim light, but Tybalt spotted and returned it, keeping it even as Vidya's eyes closed. He held onto consciousness only moments longer than she did before finally succumbing to sleep.
He slept deeply, a rare and not-unwelcome occurrence--he'd usually wake from sleep if the dust motes stirred from their home under the furniture, and the dreams he had told stories of a time long past. More often than not he awoke to find his fingers clenched desperately in the covers and in a horrendous mood that set the tone for the rest of the day. Luckily for himself and his bedmate, his visions gave him a night's respite. Even Vidya's nighttime movements provoked nothing more than a sleepy sigh and squirm.
Tybalt woke with the sun, as he almost always did, in a state of confusion. Why was he so far off from the center of the bed? What was his hand tangled in? He squeezed his eyes shut before slowly opening them, memories of the previous night returning once he caught sight of Vidya. He sighed softly--this was his favorite time of day, in the moments between sleep and true wakefulness when everything was fresh and new and comfortable and sleep-warm. Tybalt didn't mind the intrusion of another person into his happy time...not this morning.
He took the opportunity to study Vidya's sleeping face, her new proximity wonderfully enabling him to. His eyes traced her features; snow-white hair and sky-blue skin reminded him of a far-off beach with crystalline waters. She was pretty, he decided after a few moments of quiet, drowsy contemplation. Not pretty in an attention-grabbing way like most of his treasures were, and not pretty in a poetic way like an ocean sunset...but pretty in her own right, certainly. Tybalt smiled sleepily, content to drowse and ponder.

Vidya gave a sleepy sigh as she began to wake up, though she didn't open her eyes to see where she was; she assumed she was back home, in her own bed and probably by herself, as Adonis so often ended up on the floor from his tossing and turning at night. The arm that had been pressed close to her uncurled itself, and without hesitating, she attempted to stretch out her limbs. Of course, after a moment or two of attempting to do so, she found there was something in her way...something hard, but still very soft to the touch...not to mention the fact one of her hands was trapped by that same sort of 'thing'. With her eyes still closed, she gave a confused, but still very sleepy sigh...what on earth was that soft, and was in the bed with her?
Well...sleepy Vidya wasn't about to complain about being near something soft, and, by association, something comfortable. Because soft and comfy always went hand in hand. Apparently Vidya wasn't much of a morning person in the ways of actually opening her eyes for the first time, because she reached out with her free hand and curled it around the nearest fuzzy object (Tybalt's arm...Infact, the same arm belonged to the hand that still held hers...not that she knew that of course), and shuffled closer, cuddling only happily against this soft thing and the warm, soft body it was attached to. With a sleep-tinted, cheery coo, she nuzzled her face into this new soft object. Wait. Body? Finally, she blinked open her eyes, and found herself staring groggily into a red upper arm, and with that same, almost sleepy-kitten expression, she followed the upper arm to the shoulder, then the shoulder to the neck, and finally, to an all-familiar face. "...Nn...Cap'n...?" She murmured, then waited a moment or two for it to actually sink in. Her reaction could probably be counted down. In Five...Four...Three...Two...One...
"Nyeh, Captain!" She gasped, pulling away from him with her white eyes wide in surprise. "I'm sorry~!" Was her first instinct to say, once she realized who it was she had been clinging to and nuzzling. A moment later, Vidya had been about to ask what he was doing in her room...but upon a quick glance around her, she found that she wasn't in her own room. Once she realized this wasn't her room, she recalled the previous night. "...Oh." She breathed out both mentally and vocally. "Well...Uh...Mornin'?" A nervous grin fitted onto her lips.

Tybalt tensed as Vidya started to wake up, sleep clearing from his eyes only to be replaced by cautious alertness. She seemed to be reaching out for something, and though he knew he should pull his wing back just in case, he refused to do so; foolish pride, perhaps? He sighed softly as she seemed to find what she was looking for--hey, that was his arm!
He looked down at her as she made herself comfortable, not stopping her, but not making any movements to impede her progress. Aw, she was so cute. It made him want to go out and kill kittens just to make up for admitting that to himself. He watched with growing amusement as Vidya seemed to wake up and notice what, exactly, she was doing, quirking a brow and smirking arrogantly. "G'mornin'," he said, voice rough with sleep. "Sleep well?"

Well, for that moment, it was her arm, not his...until she woke up, of course. When she did, she remembered where else it was she'd felt something that soft; and that was, of course, the first time she'd met him after she grew, and she nuzzled into the back of his neck when she tackled him. Duh, she should've remembered that! Silly Viddy.
"Uh huh, Very well! You didn't hit me with your wings!" She let out another cheery coo. Apparently, she forgot about the dream she'd had earlier on in the night...but that wasn't unusual for her. "Donny usually hits me with his by accident." She explained, feeling the need to clarify why she was so happy the first time. "I'm used to it, but its nice to not get hit!" The previous day's events seemed forgotten, partially because she seemed back to her old self, even so early in the morning. Tinted in her ever-expressive eyes however, rested the wearyness left over by stress; but nothing would be able to take that away until the family's issue had been resolved. Other than that, of course, she was her naturally cheery self!
"You're very warm, too! I was nice and comfy." She nodded as if to confirm her own words. Her sweater and his blanket kept her warm, but she found she liked the weight of his wing on her for the night...all things considered, it was probably the best sleep she'd had in a long time. "And you? How did you sleep?" She nuzzled the side of her face into the mattress, still content in basking in the warmth the bed still gave off.

Feathery brows furrowed in sleepy confusion as Tybalt tried to make sense of Vidya's words. What did Donny have to do with anything? And why was he hitting her? "Y' don't...sleep with 'im, do ya?" That would explain it--it would also be somewhat weird, yet totally fitting for Vidya. She did, after all, love her brother.
His feathers ruffled happily at the "warm" comment, the third joint of his wing shifting, allowing the longest feathers to fall against her back. It wrapped them in their own little cocoon of warmth and sleepy softness. The morning sun added to that, turning the vibrant colors of Tybalt's outstretched wing into glittering jewels. He found that he was comfortable and happy, and had the urge to laze about in bed all day. "I slept like a baby," he admitted, eyes half-lidded and drowsy as if he might just fall back into his comfortable slumber.

Vidya gave him an odd look, one spurred simply by the way he was talking. "Of course I do! Since he first came home, actually! Its kind of a habit now." The odd look was lost, beaten back by one of curiousity. "Why? Is that wrong?" She couldn't figure out why it would be, for the life of her.
With a content coo as his wing nearly closed around her back, Vidya snuggled into the warmth; which naturally brought her closer to Tybalt. This time, however...she wasn't mostly asleep, nor did she actually cling onto him. Being close enough to share warmth was good enough for her, really! "I'm glad you slept well!" She blinked a few times as rather shiny colours seemed to make themselves known to her right eye, the one that could actually see colour, and once she realized that it wasn't her eye playing a trick on her, she turned her head to the side to investigate the cause of these pretty colours. She breathed out in awe, closing her left eye to better see the range of colours (colours were difficult to see when you can also see smoke-like whisps dancing off of everything around you). "Wow, So pretty~!" Vidya complimented, moving her free hand to lightly brush through his feathers, but not moving enough to get out of this lovely, nice and warm cuccoon he'd brought her into.
After a long moment of silence and absently playing with his feathers, Vidya pulled their hands closer to her, and once his was close enough, she lightly nuzzled the back of it. Strangely enough, she was eerily serious, if not a little sad. "I really can't thank you enough for last night...It meant so much to me..." She started; apparently, it'd bothered her since she woke up, and the silence caused her to dwell on it. "...And I don't really know where to start to pay you back for it. So...If you ever need anything...you can just ask, okay?" For one reason or another, she couldn't lift her eyes to look directly at him; instead, she stared at his hand, out of the corner of her eyes. "I really want to pay you back, somehow..." It felt unfair to her; she'd completely broken down against him, and he actually tried to make her feel better. Little bouts could be repaid easily...but that kind of breakdown was much, much harder.
Not to mention it was her very first breakdown.

Hmm, how to answer that? None of his siblings slept together so he really had nothing concrete to base an opinion on; at the same time, wasn't she a little too old to be sleeping with her midget of a brother? Or perhaps he was just a tad jealous. "'S not...wrong, I 'spose. Jest...a bit different." Lucky little b*****d, he thought to himself.
Tybalt smiled broadly at her compliment, feathers puffing out proudly, causing the light to shimmer and dance along them. He stifled a shiver as she played with them. They were sensitive in the manner of all feathers and the feelings she provoked were somewhere between too good and too ticklish. Her fingers were gone before he had decided whether he liked them or not. He sighed, a sleepy, content noise--were he more feline, he might have purred.
His smile was drowsily relaxed as he watched her nuzzle his hand, his thumb moving to stroke her own. "I'll remember that," he said seriously. The high regard he held her in wouldn't stop him from calling in this verbal marker somewhere along the line, should he need to. "An' you jest remember that ye can come t' me fer anythin'." Especially if it put him in such a good mood the next day. If he had been more conscious, he probably wouldn't have extended such a gracious offer.

"Is it?" Vidya breathed out, though her supposed question was more like an afterthought. Was it really that strange to share a room and a bed with her brother? She was still a kid, and he was still a toddler...so really, she saw why not. Of course, she could do with less wing-hitting, and more of that comfortable weight that comes with a wing being drapped over you. "Ah well." She concluded with a care-free shrug.
Naturally, she stared longer at the dancing colours of his wings when he ruffled his wings. Part of her realized he was showing off, but like before, the other part of her told that first part to shut up, that it didn't matter if he was showing off because it was pretty. In the end, thats all that mattered, apparently. An almost amused chuckle had escaped her lips then, having realized she'd mentally been fighting with herself.
"And I'll remember that." She assured him, a thin smile coming back onto her lips. Now that he knew she'd do anything for him if he wanted her to, she felt better somehow...kind of like she had no worries in the world. Oh wait, that wasn't true! Something was nagging at the back of her mind...it was almost as if there was something important she'd forgotten to do. What on earth could it---Earth. Hm...the Earth looked blue and green from a distance! Green like...Lance, Lance had green skin! Wait, Lance? Aunt Dee...
"NYEEEH! I forgot to call Aunty Dee last niiiiight~!" She cried out, suddenly propping herself up on her elbows, but not actually sitting bolt upright. Her expression was best described as a wide-eyed 'oh s**t', naturally. Vidya looked as though she were about to weasel her way off the bed, but alas...the moment she began to shift her limbs, a sudden loud, almost broken whirr came from her bag, like it had when she and Tybalt were in the tree.
Called, Called! The faulty blue communicator sang, bursting forth from her side bag, and fluttering closer towards the bed. Anty Called! Yupei told where was. Good Yupei! It congratulated itself with a churring noise of joy. Vidya, looking thoroughly relieved, began to allow herself to fall back onto the matress again. TREAT For Good Yupei! Bounce around room now! Apparently, it decided that its just reward was to bounce off the walls of the room. Naturally, this is what kept Vidya from laying down again.
"Yupei!" She cried out sternly, a surprising tone for her. Her tone brought the communicator to a fault, and the metal and blue plastic round thing with wings merely stared wide-eyed at her. "Don't. Thank you for telling my Aunt! Shut down now, please?" She pleaded with it, and it seemed to consider her proposal.
No. Bounce around room! It decided with a churr, though it stared at her a while longer.
"No, Yupei!"
Yes, Yupei!
"Yu---" Vidya warned as she leaned down long enough to take a small object from one of her pockets.
BOUNCE around the room! It cut her off, deciding things for itself. Just as it began to flutter to the nearest corner of the room, something small, round, and metal bounced off the top of the communicator, then bounced harmlessly to a stop once on the ground. O.K. Yupei shut down~ It whimpered disappointedly, then fluttered back into her bag, and into silence.
Vidya huffed, sitting up fully now, her right arm still extended as if she'd just thrown something. "Stupid thing..." She grumbled, lowering her hand, then looking down at it. Yupei had made her put an end to her holding Tybalt's hand! Not fair. When she looked back down at her multi-coloured Captain, her eyes had darkened to a soft grey, instead of their usual snow white. "I'm sorry about that...It's...hard to handle." She admitted slowly, her eyes closing in a nervous, eyeless smile. When she re-opened them however, the silver had faded, and they were white as they always had been. "Well...might as well get up now, eh?" She tried to sound cheery; but she'd have been lying if she said she wasn't a little disappointed. She liked sleep-warm beds and people, after all!

If there was one thing Tybalt loved, it was showing off. He reveled in the attention he got from others, as long as they looked, but didn't touch. Vidya's staring fueled that fire and also reassured him that he'd made a wise decision in placing her in such high regard; more often than not she acted like everything a pirate wasn't, but her interest in his shinies assuaged his worries. Momentarily, anyway--they would likely resurface the minute she yelled at him for being his usual charming self.
He was jerked out of his sleepy haze by Vidya's distressed exclamation, eyes shooting open and muscles tensing. Aunty Dee? What the hell was she going on about? His unasked question answered itself as Vidya's communicator made its presence known. Tybalt glared at, good mood swiftly vanishing at its unwelcome intrusion. He remembered it, in any case, as an annoyance. "Th' hell y' are gonna bounce around th' room," he muttered, but was otherwise quiet; he wanted to see how Vidya would take care of it. He found himself more than a little surprised that she took charge of the situation rather than let it take charge of her, watching with avid interest and a hint of pride as she forcibly shut the thing up.
"Y' handled it well," he commended, rather liking this side of his usually air-headed best friend and first mate. "Nice shot." His brows rose in interest at the physical change that accompanied the mental one, and he filed this particular event away for later ponderings. With a disappointed noise, he nodded and retracted his wing, sliding sideways out of bed and shaking the covers off. He yawned and stretched once he was free, arms heading upwards while his wings extended outwards to their fullest, trembling tensely in a parody of flight before he relaxed with a gusty sigh.
Claw-clicks accompanied his steps to the door, where he shrugged on last night's shirt. "What're yer plans fer th' day? Y' gotta go back home?" he asked as he reached back to snap the buttons that held the back of the shirt closed.

"Huh?" Vidya partially asked at Tybalt's comment of handling it well. Handled what well...? "Oh. That. Practice, I guess...And Momma's been training me!" His proud comment clued her in. She added the last part with a hint of pride, though mentioning her mother made her remember why she was at Tybalt's in the first place. Then she couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness. "Just a little bit more practice with the fan, and she said I can move into polearms, which is what I really want to use." She admitted. A sword was much better suited for a Pirate, but there was something about a polearm anything that was just so familiar to her. In fact, she still carried around the stave she had as a toddler, the one that could change its length at her will; it was actually sitting in her bag right now, oddly enough.
Slowly, Vidya climbed out of the bed right after him, though instead of standing and stretching like he had, she merely sat on the edge of the bed and stretched there, lifting her arms above her head and arching her back backwards in a rather feline manner. Then, lowering her arms to shoulders length, she stretched forwards, this time lifting her legs to stretch them out, too. Once she was finished, she pulled her long hair over her shoulder and freed it from its braid, running her fingers through her long locks to attempt to de-tangle it; which wasn't hard, her hair rarely tangled itself up.
"My plans...I don't know, really...I didn't really plan to come here at first, either...but I couldn't help it." Vidya admitted again, before seperating her hair into three equal pieces. "I can't go home, not until Momma says we can--" She paused for a moment, clearing her throat before continuing. "We're staying at my Aunt's house. I guess I could go back there now. Oh, my Aunt...She's...Uhm...Dragonfly. Yanno, Lance's Ma?" While she was talking, she had taken the three equal pieces and began to braid them seperately; the idea was to give herself three braids today, instead of the one. She'd started with the third of hair against her back, as it was the most difficult; she didn't have to think about it anymore, she just let her fingers go on autodrive to complete the braids. She'd then gone on to braid the lock of hair over her left shoulder (the second hardest place), and just as she was starting the last braid against her right shoulder, she realized what she had said and gasped. She shouldn't have mentioned Lance, those two were on bad terms! Oh well, too late now. "I'll figure something out." She said quickly, attempting to brush off ever mentioning her Scaled friend. "D'you have any plans for the day?" She inquired as she finished her final braid, hoping to distract Tybalt from fuming over the Dragon-Boy.

Tybalt quirked a brow as she responded to his rare compliment. A polearm? Her? His bubbly little first mate was going to wield a large weapon? How would she even be able to carry it? An image of Vidya trying to drag around a halberd and failing ran through his mind, and a corner of his mouth kicked up in a grin. "Good luck wi' that."
He stood mostly in front of the door, feet partially splayed and arms crossed over his chest as he watched her stretch. The morning light lit Vidya from behind, the sunlight forming a halo around her where it shone off her hair. His eyes idly followed what movements they could, and he nodded in the manner of all inattentive men until she mentioned her temporary residence. "What?" he asked, eyes tightening and snapping to her face, nostrils flaring, fingers clenching. She was staying THERE? "Y' know y' can stay here as long as ye like," he said tersely in lieu of responding to her question. The stellar mood he had awoken in was rapidly vanishing. Ah, well; it never took much.

For one reason or another, Vidya jumped to the defensive; actually, the reason was once she saw Tybalt's grin. As her personality dictated, she stuck her tongue out at him. "I don't need luck, because I can do it!" A moment or two later, once she'd brushed off that bubbling need to defend herself, she gave a meek smile. "But thanks."
It was foolish of her to think, even for a moment, that he'd brush off the fact she was staying with Lance and his family. Thus, she flinched at his first, single word; and wished desperately for the ability to turn back time and shut herself up. However, she seemed to have been expecting more of an outburst from her Captain...and the momentarily baffled expression gave a hint to that. "...I'd like that." She admitted without much of a thought; spending the rest of her time away from home here with Tybalt was definately something she wanted. But at the same time...wouldn't her family need her, too? Wouldn't staying away from everyone else make her selfish? She thought about it for a few minutes, her gaze downwards, staring at her clasped hands which rested delicately on her lap.
"...But I want to go back to my Aunt's house--" She started slowly after her awkward silence, trying to figure out how to best word her thoughts. "--For just a little bit. To see how everyone is doing, and to get changed." She finished just as slowly as she'd started, obviously thinking everything through, and wording it the way she had wanted to. She wanted to also apologize to Lance, because he'd no doubt be fuming over her staying at Tybalt's house like she had. "So...I'll do that, and I'll come right back here." She reassured him as she lifted her head to face him, but her eyes were still lowered, staring at her hands. "Unless you wanna come with me?" Well, it wouldn't hurt to ask, would it? Now she lifted her eyes slowly to face him, silently waiting for any sort of answer before she did anything else.
