Having gone on a slightly different path from the others in the area, Shaun was across the street on top of the most stable building he could find. Coincidently, it happened to be the same height up as the floor the group had collected in. He had left the rifle to swing on his back out of the way, instead brandishing a small but powerful shotgun. He had already made a small fire concealed from sight and had a lump of meat slowly roasting over it. The rest of the animal was hanging over the edge of the next building over to attract any ghouls in the nearby vicinity. As such, the only ghouls left were the ones deep inside any buildings that had got stuck. Despite being at the same ehight as them, Shaun could see no traces of the other survivours yet. They happened to be at the other side of the building and not in his vision for now.

((right, who's aliens here? Faraday AND Kara? I'm confused! D: )) ‘Grimm’ Ghoulish Grimm Listened as the man with the dog boldy announced his presence and then as the girl asked for everyone to move into the light. Grimm wasn't too fond of light sourses, the heat given off of most of them tnded to mess up his vision, but what the main problem was is that it would give away his appearance... Mostly his eyes and his hands as they were just about the only left uncovered. His eyes would catch the light anyway, much like a torch catching a cats eyes, Grimm tried to avert his gaze, probably unsucessfully albeit. " I woUld pREffer noT to cOmE inTO the Light, I haVe a dRastic SKin pRobLEm..." He said trying to cover for his appearance. It was then that he spotted the lizard thing, that must have been the smell he couldn't make out from earlier, not to meantion the ears on the woman standing close to it. " NevEr mInD Me, wHat beInG ArE you My DEar, and That BEAst toO... IT DoeSn'T smEll riGht to mE." He said carefully keeping his guard against the fuzzy looking animal, Grimm didn't like things he didn't recognise.

||Oh, nein, Faraday is not an alien. She just has a weird lizard thing with her. :3||
Faraday hesitated, staring at the strange dark figure. His odd way of speech was... well, odd, and his presence sent shivers up and down her spine. There was something familiar about the way he stood, and the way his presence felt, but she couldn't place it. The lizard was going nuts, skittering around the floor, hissing fitfully first in "Grimm's" direction, then in the direction of the one who had just yelled from across the room. It would then return to Faraday, rub against her leg, then run around again.
"Drago, cut it out," Faraday snapped. "You're making me nervous." Drago turned to her and whined, but returned anyway. At Grimm's question, Faraday looked up for a moment, confused. "It's a lizard," she replied. "It's not indigenous to this planet, so I guess you could say it's an alien. He's harmless, for the most part," she added. Of course, he was anything but, but she didn't want to lay all her cards down on the table at once.
Complying with Kara's request, Faraday stepped into the light after checking to be sure the door behind her was sealed shut. She didn't want any more surprises. Drago followed behind her, the light gleaming on his feathers. His pitch black eyes sparkled in the glow of the cube, almost seeming to absorb the light.

((I'm sure Kara's gonna have a lot to do if the ghouls attack at night.))
Kain nudged Bleda's leg as if telling him something was ahead. Indeed there was. There appeared to be some sort of faint light source ahead that wasn't there before. He didn't hear a direct verbal response to his earlier announcement, but he had a gut feeling no ghouls were involved. This most likely meant that other survivors were present. The gray wolf was about to walk in front of Bleda, but he stopped it with a gentle tug of its tail. You might scare them if they see you first, so I'll go first. Kain complied and followed Bleda from behind.
Shadowy figures slowly formed in front of Bleda's eyes as he slowly approached the light source. He was so close now that the unknown figures turned into an adult male, a kid, an adult female, a lizard, a rather sloppily dressed seemingly male figure, and a runaway blue/green haired circus act.
Upon arriving, Bleda stood next to the strangely dressed male figure. He briefly looked at all of them and simply nodded when he was done. They all seemed to be closely scrutinizing each other due to the lack of words. Obviously, this group has only been together for a short time. The gray wolf peeked its head out from behind one of Bleda's legs and stared at the strange lizard as if debating to itself whether the reptilian creature was a snack or friend. "I'm Bleda and this is Kain," stated the young man.

((Uh, Degen, what do you mean by that?))
The lizard isn't from this planet? Are there many aliens here? Kara looked around. Mostly, everyone looked human besides the animals. "Uh, I'm Kara." the green blue haired officer said, introducing herself. "I just recently arrived in the area, and I don't know what happened. If someone could explain..."
Just then, some aroma wafted across the floor. Kara wasn't sure what sort of food these people on the planet ate. "Did any of you cook anything? I smell burning meat."

((Hmm... let's get Articx in somehow. Kara smells the food. Grimm or Kain would probably be able to target where the smell is coming from better, so I'll leave that up to you two. Sorry, short post with not so much detail.))
Drastic skin problem? Brand thought.
Gal seemed excited though and wanted to see it, probably for experimental purposes. "What type of skin problem?" he chirped. At the mention of the lizard not being indigenous, Gal immediately also got interested, but didn't approach the lizard because it had snapped at him earlier, and he was afraid it'd eat him.
Everyone else had stepped into the light. Brand nodded as everyone else gave names, not reacting much to the appearance of a giant wolf dog. "Brand," he said. There were enough strange things happening anyway. His younger brother immediately also gave a name. "Galavinthian, but you can call me Gal!" However, Gal had backed up a little at the sight of Kain.
Just then, the strange alien named Kara mentioned something about burning meat. Brand couldn't really pick up anything. He looked at Gal accusingly, asking if Gal had something in his bag that was blowing up.
"It's not me!" Gal protested.

||Whoops, sorry Articx!||
Faraday nearly jumped out of her skin as Bleda and Kain appeared, and the sight of the giant canine creature freaked her out. Sure, she had a lizard, but that thing looked big enough to eat her! Drago, meanwhile, had hissed mightily as Kain appeared, his feathers standing on end as he danced from side to side, debating whether or not to attack. He settled down, though, when the wolf made no move to attack. He did, however, return Kain's curious stare, turning his head to better observe the wolf with one eye, his mouth opened in a toothy grin.
"Faraday," she said by way of introduction, gesturing to herself. She pointed at the lizard. "That's Drago. Don't let your wolf eat him, please." She wasn't too worried about Drago's safety, but nonetheless, she wanted boundaries established early on.
Turning to Kara, Faraday sniffed the air.
"I don't smell anything," she said slowly, narrowing her eyes at Kara. Aliens... The girl turned to Drago to tell him to scout, but he was too busy playing the staring game with Kain. Faraday rolled her eyes. Lizard waste...
She wasn't thinking good thoughts today.

‘Grimm’ Ghoulish *drool* Mmmm, burning flesh. Grimm watched all the commotion from just outside the light. He wasn't too bothered having company, it was different. He turned at the sound of Gal answering back to him. " It'S PreTty Bad. I wOuLd prefEr noT goIng InTo IT. LeT's JusT leavE it As RadIatIon FroM tHe bLastS tHaT tooK out tHe cities... AnD on Your QuesTion Of buRniNg Meat. I can InDeed smell it, QUite a PngeNt smeLL ACtuaLy. YoU mUst haVe A stRonG Nose KaRa." He said Adjusting his bandanna to keep his face hidden. The large wolf that accompanied the newest member to join them in the circle looked dangerous enough, and it was beginning to make Grimm feel nervous. It for one would definitely be able to smell the Ghoul in him. But that wouldn't be a problem. Grimm had an escape rout in mind already. " ActUaly. BUrning flEsh norMallY MeanS HUmAns, aS GhouLS dOnT Cook... We sHouLd chEcK IT oUT, thEy miGht bE Able To help in SoMe way." He said trying to divert the attention.

((XP Uh, I don't know if Kara has a strong nose, but oh well!))
Kara blinked when Grimm mentioned radiation blasts and cities being destroyed. Was this planet a victim to nuclear war? If that was the case, there could be many mutations. Did the natives know about other planets? She needed to know.
Wait. No one else can smell it? Kara blinked. But it's pretty obvious..."What is a ghoul?" she asked, but she nodded and agreed that they should check. If this was a nuclear disaster environment, there couldn't be that many survivors, and saving people was good for survival.

((His speech was REALLY annoying to type lol, Decided that everyone gets the idea so back to normal typing :3 )) ‘Grimm’ Ghoulish Nom nom nom Grimm looked over at Kara. He towered over her by at least a foot but her questions weren't all that strange considering her background. " Ghouls... Those things that attacked you outside. They are, well they used to be human until the bombs fell and their bodies were twisted beyond recognition by a terrible virus. A lab made virus that seemingly emitted radiation into it's victims DNA directly... It should have killed in minutes but something obviously went wrong. The Ghouls have existed since then, breeding and slaughtering each other, and anything else they come across. It's been that way for around one hundred years or so now." He said with his rattling voice as he walked towards the stair well. He was focused on the smell of cooked food, something he rarely had time for.

((Lise, it was meant to be metaphoric, but maybe I should've worded that differently.))
Bleda looked over at Faraday. "Very well then," he consented, "but you best keep Drago away from Kain." He gave Kain a firm tap on the head as if telling the gray wolf to quit the staring contest. Kain shook his head and sniffed the air. For a moment, Kain seemed to be sniffing in Grimm's direction, but lost interest rather quickly. All the clothing on Grimm confused Kain's keen sense of smell because all the clothes had scents of their own. The wolf pointed his nose down the hall, and Bleda soon realized why.
"So, who left their food unchecked?" Bleda commented after taking a whiff of the air. "Someone else must be in area."

((XP I still don't get it.))
Kara listened to the weird man's explanation. If it had been 100 years, then wouldn't there be a more organized force? The living beings she had met were disorganized and confused. Because she had been exposed to science and technology as a Galactic Guard, she knew what DNA and nuclear weapons meant. In her birth world, nothing of the sort ever came up. It was a magic based world. Maybe these people came from more organized groups and had just gotten lost?
Kara shrugged. "I saw some cans on the floor below, but I am unfamiliar with the food on this world. We should check it out as a group."

Brand and Gal listened to the words of the others. While Brand was perfectly alert and patient, Gal was busy observing Drago and now, also Kain, though Drago interested him more and appeared more exotic.
However, Brand shook his head when Kara mentioned the cans. Cans didn't burn. If they did, they would have noticed something passing the floor. At least that's what Brand thought. Where the hell did this Kara come from to not know about ghouls? They had been around for too long, longer than Brand and Gal's ages combined. "Not either of us," he said referring to himself and his brother.
"Let your wolf lead then, and we'll follow," Brand suggested. Staying together seemed to be a good idea. Safety in numbers.
