One could take a good long look at Pumpkin Spice and see a sweet caring mare that always thinks of other first, but if one looked hard enough they would see a tormented soul. Pumpkin always has a lonely look to her when she is seen from afar, but get up close and you will find an energetic girl looking to learn about her world. Some might consider her sheltered attitude a mark of stupidity, but truly she isn't stupid. She just doesn’t know the dangers of the world she lives in.

She and her twin sister were born to a mare with a weak heart, sired by an unknown father. Their mother died giving birth to them, and they never met their father. Extremely young and alone they wandered until hunger forced them close to a tented area on the plains. They assumed it was a two-legged village but they were dead wrong. They had wandered too close to The Blood Moon Carnival. Two weak confused fillies made for easy prey. They were dragged before the Ring Master and branded. The Ring Master had them fed and given a cage but also gave them manacles chained to the cage bars so they wouldn’t escape. They were then trained in the art of performance. Pumpkin was taught to jump through flaming hoops, and walk the tightrope. Her sister never told her what they made her do.
One night a two-legged by the name of Luna snuck into the Carnival and released the twins. Her sister Bushkin went home with a friend of Luna’s and Pumpkin hasn’t seen her since.
