The grass felt great under his paws, so soft and lush. His father Sin was going to be speaking to the shade beast soon. Ixen could hardly contain his excitement his ears twitched slightly. Looking over to Sin he saw a yellow and black fox. "Hello, who might you be?" Ixen stepped a bit closer to the strange fox, but was careful to keep far enough back in case the fox attacked. One couldn't be to careful with strange foxes.

Odi eyes darted to the new male when he spoke to him. Odi looked him over for a moment before speaking. "Odi, I'm the new magician. You?" He asked his voice lacking a emotion, something he was thankful he learned from his mother. Made the other person to think what he was going to do.

My name is Ixen Kaldra, I fill any position Sin requires me too. Ixen nodded his head slightly to the fox. I hope that the tribe befits from having us in it. Ixen smiles at Odi. His tone was warm enough that most foxes would feel comfortable around him. Causing distress in the tribe was something that Ixen wanted to avoid. His father would very displeased with him if Ixen drove away potentially useful members of the tribe.

"Interesting Ixen." He said looking at Sin, this fox seemed strange. Normally if Odi meet a fox like him out on the road he wouldn't expect to much of a danger but he knew better. "I hope we benefit from the tribe." Odi said watching to see his response. Odi had loyalty, but only Sin had it. Not the tribe, the tribe was going to have to earn his.

Of course. Ixen could almost feel Odi’s distrust of him. It didn’t matter. The only one that mattered was Sin’s opinion of him. I know without a doubt that I have benefited already from the tribe. After all had it not been for Sin I would still be lost and alone. Ixen was trying to be friendly to this fox; after all they were in the same tribe and cooperation would benefit them if Sin required them to work together in the future. Stretching somewhat Ixen gave a yawn and settled into what looked like a very relaxed to anyone watching. So do you know any of the other members of the tribe?
((If you couldn’t tell Ixen worships Sin. Well I’m gona poof for a while.))

Odi watched the fox, he was so strange but Odi knew he was dangerous. At hearing him speak of Sin his voice seemed to get more...active. he looked sideways at Sin, a fox that Odi would of said could of been a fair fight against before. Now even with his new found power he knew Sin was better and it didn't bother him. Odi knew his place wasn't the leader, but being a right hand was just as influential with less of the politics. "I agree, it's enough to make one stay. Sin must of done a lot for you. " He said casually as his mind drifted to his mate but snapped back.
No weakness in front of others was how he was going to gain a position. "No I haven't meet them yet, I seen them though. Both are fliers." He said, he didn't know their species names nor did he care.
((Yeah I can tell lol. Odi starting to see him as a Zealot though.))

You could say that he has done a lot for me, after all he did raise me and give me a home. Judging by the fact you’re here I’m going to guess he gave you a home too. Ixen watched the magician’s eyes drift off and look dreamy before snapping back to an emotionless look. Thinking of a loved one? In truth Ixen didn’t really care but still it was a conversation topic and he was curious about Odi, he seemed like a smart fox and might make a good second in command for the tribe. Smart, careful.. a good start. If they will be coming to visit you make sure they are careful in the woods. There are a lot of snakes that could do some real harm to an unwary fox.
((ooo Ixen the zealot.. *laughs* sounds funny. Still Ixen isn’t out just to worship Sin or the tribe. Just obeying Sin makes him happy enough. like a big brother complex.))

"I see. Yes, he has. First off he didn't kill, he caught me after I made a kill and had let my guard drop." He started leaving out his condition, luckily Sin didn't see that. "Then he invited me to join him. I took it, nobody wants to have a killer in their lands." He said before getting the next question. "Nothing for the tribe to worry about." He said then let a small smile cross his face at what he had to say about the snakes. "You don't know the half of it...I know about the snakes. I need to deal with their large population. They could easily kill kits...plus I have a few uses for them." He said shrugging a little.
((Lol, I know what you mean *Got two older brothers* My friend read it and doesn't have a older brother and was like does he got a thing for that fox XD))

Ixen tilted his head to Odi’s answers. Clearly the fox was leaving things out. Still so long as it wasn’t anything that would be dangerous for the tribe members it shouldn’t be an issue. Everyone had secrets they didn’t want brought up. It would be best not press, especially with a stranger. Odi would talk about when he felt ready. Ixen’s tail brushed back and forth lazily in the air as he frowned about Odi’s comments about the snakes. Let me know if you want help with the snakes. It would be bad if they got to the kits. Ixen allowed a soft growl that had been building in his throat to escape at this time.
((Your friend doesn't know something though. razz Sin is the only fox Ixen knows! He wandered off from Rynn and Anila before he even learned their names. Sin is the only fox he knows at all, like his entire life... The fact he seems calm around Odi and can talk to him is a miracle. they could go snake hunting together! LOL ))

"Understood. I find some of them are good at uses. Controlling the mambas are a good way to see from the trees. And cobra's are good at intimidating. And rattlesnakes are good at letting people know that their not suppose to go their." He said with a shrug. He knew that if he could control them correctly he would know what goes on in the tribe without having to leave his place in the tree. "Hmm, you must care a lot about kits." He said, if socalizing was what he needed to get insight on each of the pack members then he go through with it.
((Yeah, he just read the post. I never heard of Ixen till today lol. That would be interesting lol.))

Realizing the logic of Odi’s ideas Ixen couldn’t help but marvel at Odi’s far thinking. Definitely a smart fox that was good after all a magician was supposed to be reliable in times of trouble. Those snakes are only useful if you can control them with precision accuracy and control their numbers, the last thing you want is a stray snake coming in and poisoning someone. Stocking up on snakes to use for anti-venom might not be a bad idea either. Ixen’s thoughts were traveling down the possible benefits and costs of keeping a few snakes near the base to use when Odi asked him about kits. The question brought Ixen around back to the conversation like lightning. Yes I do care about kits quite a bit I suppose. Ixen licked his lips in thought. Believe it or not I am not quite as ignorant of foxes outside this tribe as others who learn that I was raised by Sin might think. I know that some of the kits that end up in this tribe won’t be here of their own free will, or that they too might not know their parents who birthed them. As such I want to be able to protect them as much as I am able.
(Ixen isn't much a secret... he has been in my journal since I made it. no one ever asked about him is all.)

Odi watched the look that crossed Ixen face at what he said. Maybe it was Kana that put him in the mindset of using dangerous things to your uses or just his twisted mind. "True, but I figured out that you can give "them orders". They have a complex mind but simple thoughts so it's pretty easy...well younger ones are. Older snakes don't follow suite though." He said as it brought him back then shrugged. "Anti-venom is to much work. You have to find a animal and then let them get bit. The hole process hurts something else." He said remember trying to use his body to make the anti-venom. "Although we could use some of these rabbits since they're so useless and too scrawny to really enjoy." He looked at the rabbits as he spoke, they were just a waste right now. "Hmm, your lucky. I'm branded so people know that I'm a monster." He said showing his ex-kana tattoo on his shoulder. "Turned me into a monster. Many people who see this either run or attack me if they remember Kana. Now the only people left are me and my mother."

I suppose if you started training them young enough it would be possible. Ixen looked at the rabbits when Odi did. Yes, rabbits would be good for ani-venom animal. They multiply fast enough that some of them dying wouldn’t be much of an issue.
Looking at Odi’s shoulder Ixen couldn’t help but show his confusion. Kana tribe. I’ve never heard of them before. What kind of tribe were they? What kind of tribe was it that just being a member would make other foxes fear or hate you? The irony of this thought did not escape Ixen when his thoughts fell back on to possible differences between this Kana tribe and his own Cruor Tribe

"True." He said before blinking and looking at his old tribe tattoo.
"A tribe full of monsters. Completely different from Curor. Picture a tribe where you either killed the weakest kits or they killed each other. To become a full fledged member you might have to rip out your mates throat. Good example, their elder's mate hated her own kids. My father tried to kill me a couple time. And my brother and sister like to play games to see who could rip out my eye." He said it casually before licking his paw.
"They were like the monster that you never want to find under you bed. Torture and mutilation were favorites. On the plus side their were lots of squirrels to eat." He said with a shrug. "No one talks about it now because they want it too seem like a bad dream that they just woke up from."

Sin twitched his ear's, watching the two exchange information of one another. He was amused by this, and didn't even falter his stance when he was flattered by Ixen, instead cautiously eyeing the two. Either one of them would be excellent right hand candidates, yet he had still much longer to decide. At the mention of rabbits being easy to be ordered he seemed finally interested, glancing over at Ixen.
"The ability to use your thoughts as a weapon and to command others is a gift all receive in this tribe, if they are in favor of the beast. Rabbits are the easiest."
