"What I have to say is in regard to the damage to my estate," he said, closing the door behind him, ensuring their privacy.
"I was willing to not push the issue and let you keep your secrets, but it seems that doing so is too much of a risk in doing so. I will need to know exactly what caused that fire," he said. His tone was immediately firm but not completely without understanding. His gaze was it's usual level of intensity, the one visible yellow eye glaring out from under his brim.

So this was a pheonix. Indeed he was taken quite aback.
But wait, it couldn't be... The pheonix was a rare creature of epic power. While it did have the ability to take human form, indefinitely the idea that a creature of such power being captured was unthinkable. It would take an incredibly skilled army... But then again, perhaps this was a younger, less developed or perhaps of a different, less powerful breed. Still, she may be a great asset all the same.
He had to be certain, first. She could be some form of mephit or unusually comely magmin or some other sort of fire-based creature and speaking more poetically. "Are you telling me that you are, in fact, a pheonix?" he asked.

((I'm sorry, hun, but in my world Pheonix's are very rare but there is more than one. We may need to reconcile this, somehow. Also, how did such a powerful being get captured? We can discuss this in PMs, if you'd rather.))

He stroked his chin... She didn't appear to be lying. Fascinating. He'd have to do some experiments with her later, if she was willing to resume her natural form... But that would have to wait. He had to take care of that other slave, first. Before he could begin, there was a knock on the door. He opened it to find his manservant with a parcel containing the objects he'd requested accompanied by a man that he hadn't met before. He accepted the parcel, told the upholsterer which couch to repair, and took Pheonix to the newly completed servant's quarters.
Despite the name, it was a much nicer room than expected. It was divided into three sections with a small cabinet, a nightstand, and a bed. Each section had a privacy curtain that could be drawn.
"You may take your pick of these," he said. "They are identical. Make sure you use these," he said, handing her the parcel. These sheets are fire resistant and shouldn't be damaged by your..."
He smiled wryly before choosing the word "nocturnal ignitions."

"I'll leave you to it, then," he said.
It seemed that she was embarrassed and desired no further conversation, right now. He returned to the sitting room to see to his other new slave.

He smiled, pleased with her mannerisms. Her awkwardness also reminded him of Tori. He had made the right choice.
"Would you like to see your quarters and bath, first, or would you like to have the full tour, first?" he asked.

Phoenix finished putting the fire proof sheets on her bed. sitting on her bed sighing. She looked over at the other beds, they just had sheets chucked onto them. "hm.." she hummed and walked over to the other beds and making them. after she did that she desided she would clean the rest of the room and so she went out of the room and there was a closet out the door she opened it, inside there was a broom dust pan etc. She took the broom and the dust pan and brought it back tot he slave barracks and started to clean up all the dust and the debry left over from when the workers were making it.
