"Ah, yes. Well, to teach you, I must know the extent of your current knowledge. What do you know about DNA and genetics?" Andrys asked, raising an eyebrow and folding his arms in front of him.

Hikaru thought for a moment. "well i know there are multiple types of creatures and beings, each classified under a certain form, way of life, and mating rituals. Some of those types are Plant, Monster, Humanoid, Avian, Bug, and dragon." she went on to explain that certain species can Cross breed, depending they have a matching type. she finished about an hour later. "Thats about it.."

"Alright. Well, it goes a bit deeper than that. You see, the basis of whether or not two organisms can breed is how closely related their DNA is. If it's very close, they can successfully interbreed and produce a new species, that's perfectly capable of reproducing others of the same species. Like if a poodle and a Labrador interbred, the labradoodle could breed with another labradoodle, and have labradoodle puppies. But, when a horse and donkey interbreed and have a mule, a mule can't breed with another mule." Andrys took a deep breath after that explanation, and then shook his head. "But that's just the tip of the iceberg." He continued, explaining that the closer the DNA was with the parents, the stronger the traits would show up in the child. And then, he began to explain how traits were determined by alleles, and about dominant alleles and recessive alleles, and even traits determined by multiple alleles. The whole thing took about two hours to get through.

Hikaru picked up on the Alleles and parents connections. "Oh so thats why Im mentally Stronger, and much more physically defensive, along with moves I shouldnt know at the moment, All coming from My Parents?" she asked, Making the connection between the Breeding of a pokemon, and the DNA passing of Traits.

"Yes, and it also explains why you look as you do," Andrys said, nodding. "The wings is obviously a dominant trait, as are the tail and these purple back flaps," he said, noting them. "However, the generally human facial appearance and hair are also dominant traits. It's a little more complicated with inter-species breeding," he said, shrugging.

"So its Very odd that my Father, who was a human Survivalist, and my mother, who was the Alpha Female of the Lugia's, Mated?" she asked Curiously.

"The only thing that is odd at all is the size difference. Potentially every living thing on earth shares about 98% of it's DNA. So it's entirely possible that human DNA and Lugia DNA are compatible enough to create a hybrid. Whether or not you could be considered a successful species or not is another matter entirely, however." Andrys paused, this was the awkward part. "You see, the definition of a species is a group of animals that have similar characteristics and can reproduce fertile offspring. That's why mules aren't considered a species... Mules aren't fertile."

Hikaru Blushed Scarlet. "so your saying.. i am successful if i can mate?.." she muttered out. She was never really taught about human mating because she grew up with her Lugia family. she was extremely embarrassed.

"That's how science sees it. Terribly sorry, I can see I've caused you discomfort. I'll just be quiet now," Andrys said hurriedly. He had never truly been one for actually talking to people. Just conducting business, and teaching. All his years of having almost no regular social interaction had led to not only his constantly aloof demeanor, but also his terrible people skills.

Andrys sighed, standing up and starting to put away dishes. "Damn it, Andrys," he muttered, standing in front of the sink and scrubbing. "You always go and say something with that big, stupid, way too smart mouth..." He sighed, and put the dish he was scrubbing in the other side of the sink. "I didn't even mean anything by it. It was a simple statement, made as nothing more than an observation... I'm not even attracted to her. She's a different species." That didn't stop her parents, a voice in his head countered, then returned to silence. "Damn it, Andrys..."

Hikaru Went into his forest and found the Pool he was talking about. should i?... she thought, before diving in. He said some of these things needed to be killed.. she soon found one eating human Bone. she peeked her head up out of the pool in there and killed it with a Dark pulse, Lacerating the creature, the creatures mind wiped of any possible though and action. It reminded her of a Creature in one of the violent games they called "Halo" known as "The Flood." She dove back down and came back up in to Andrys's Forest, and went back into the lab.
