There was no response from under the ring for a moment, but as the ref's count reached 5, Brody tried to hit Landry with the edge of a chair, swinging it horizontally to cover the largest range.

Brody rolled himself out from under the ring, surprised that he had made any kind of connection. He worked his way back to his feet, holding his left hand to his chest.

Landry was still dizzy from the last chair shot, staggering around the ring as the crowd xheered uproarously for Brody to take advantage.

Brody took a little time as he could between getting to his feet and rolling into the ring, trying to get in and back to his feet once again before Landry's head recollected.

Landry panicked a bit as he saw Brody recovering and getting back into the ring, so he charged in and attempted a heavy clothesline on Brody when he got back up.

Brody wasn't able to tell Landry was getting panicked, but his head was clear enough to hear him coming. He kept himself down and ducked under Landry's arm. He took a few steps forwards and turned to Mike, waiting for him to try again.

Brody, blood finally pumping for the first time in the match, dodged to the right and let the fist sail past his chest. To counter, he prepared his own fist and sent a right hand of his own towards Landry's head.

Brody readied his fists and closed the distance between Landry and himself. As soon as he was close enough, he started throwing punches, with blatant disregard for Landry or the pain in his left hand.

Brody backed away from Landry as he fell to the mat and simply let him roll out. He may have been beaten on through the entire match, but he still had some of his sense of honor.

Landry looked up at Brody and gave him a crooked look, wondering why exactly he wasn't attacking. When he got to his feet he shoved the timekeeper aside and grabbed his championship belt from the table, looking as if he was going to take his ball and go home.

Brody watched Landry walk off and grab his title, and his face immediately changed into a confused smirk. Just going off his assumption, it was lunacy for Mike to simply walk away. He'd been hit half as much as Brody, and running off would just tell the higher ups that he didn't deserve what he was asking for. That was what Brody had come out here to prove, and he had no problems with Landry walking off. Backing away from Mike's side of the ring, he pointed to the stage and nodded, flat-out encouraging him to run.
