Chochokpi tried to shuffle away from the female, going so far as to getting up and walking around her to flop on the other side. He didn't mind lying next to her but he was not a bed or nest or whatever else someone might mistake for a place to sleep on. Not to mention he had a fear of being enclosed in spaces which sometimes stretched to mean being entrapped by another living thing. "I'm not a bed, Melody," he muttered low under his breath.

Melody in her sleepy mode did not seem to care of her sleeping arrangements were disturbed, in fact she curled into a small ball using her tail as a pillow as if nothing had changed. Mumbling to herself Melody felt a cool gust of wind flush over her making her shiver, “But… so cold…”

He whined, a low-pitched exasperated sound. Clearly he would've liked to get up and leave but then, hadn't he just said there was nothing wrong with her? Although he desperately wanted to make an argument that crawling on top of him and making him feel claustrophobic was wrong in and of itself. Not that he knew how to do that when his mind freaked out at the mere thought of being confined (regardless of the fact he could clearly see for miles--logic never did work well with fear).
He sighed, flopping his tail over her to keep her warm, though he thought the cool breeze refreshing. He sat up to act as a shield against the wind and hoped that would be good enough. "Warm now?" he asked, thinking to himself that females were weird.

Sighing happily in her sleep Melody cuddled to the tail, her nap continuing on making her swim through oceans and worm her way through dungeons; Melody had a way with dreams. The cool breeze made Melody shiver, cuddling further against the tail she inched her way over towards Chochokpi, she did like the cold weather but that didn’t mean she could handle it. “Thank you…” Was she still sleeping even after a whole conversation with this male? Oh well her mind wondered again, thinking what would she do if it was all a dream to begin with?
It would make sense; no one really likes her so why would anyone stay around like this? Even after forcing him to warm her it wasn’t possible that someone would stay this long. “Dreaming’s nice…” If it was a dream then she might as well take advantage of having a friend for once in her lonely existence.

"You're welcome," he replied. The sun was starting to slip down and he wanted to head home or at least find a place to sleep should the sky turn gray with storm clouds. He frowned, he would let her sleep a little longer before waking her. Although he wasn't quite looking forward to it. She would probably start crying again if he woke her and tried to leave. He would have to think of a way to avoid her tearing up.
"Yeah, dreaming is nice..." he agreed. What was he supposed to say to that? He flicked his ears, life would be easier if he could just watch clouds. They didn't talk back.
