"Well, I'm glad you think so." Vironica looked out the window, leaning back into her own chair. "I'm glad to see that this area does have decent tea houses, even if you have to drive to them." She turned to face Nyx. "So how did you decide to get into this field of science?"

The bulbasaur's face broke out into a big grin. [Great! Up you go!] With that, his vines came out and wrapped around Tesla to hold the baby pokemon firmly. Then, when the counter was completely empty, he moved Tesla over to the first shelf. [Can you reach anything good in there?]

As soon as Tesla had his paws completely filled with the delicious goodies, Dianthus pulled him back and set him on the ground. [Quick, around the corner to where they have the bathrooms.] He then rounded the corner into the little nook, bringing them out of site.

"It was a rebound from a middle school crush." She laughed a little. "Boys may not stay forever, but knowledge is ever growing, as is my love for it. I've always been amazed and intrigued by genetics as well." She looked up as the waitress set down their teapot and tea cups as well as their sweets.

Vironica smiled, seeing that her fruit had been put in a small pound bread bowl, then reached over to the teapot and carefully poured the steaming, deep brown liquid into each of their cups. "There we go."

"Hm, very much so." Vironica picked up her cup and blew on it, then sipped the liquid carefully, enjoying the flavors. "I'm glad you like it. I don't drink coffee at all, I find it too bitter, and then by the time you add the sugar and milk it's too many calories. I chose to get my caffeine through tea instead." Setting her cup down, she took her fork and stabbed a berry, placing it into her mouth and smiling at it's sweetness.

"So, Nyx, do you have any hobbies outside of the labs?" She asked after swallowing her mouthful.


[It is, but only when they aren't paying attention. And it's even better because you're so small!] Dianthus happily started taking bites off of one of the muffins himself, glad to have found such a great team mate.

"You'll have plenty of time to sleep once you're dead, I always say." A soft chuckle escaped her at the remark she had made and Vironica took another sip of her tea, then lightly set it down on it's plate and took a bite of fruit as she listened to Nyx speak about her hobbies.

"Oh, you watch television? I've never really spent much time in front of one, although there are several interesting documentaries that they run on the Nature Chanel." Feeling as if she were rambling, she quickly changed the subject. "Oh, you've taken up baking? How do you like it?" She'd never taken a passion for baking, although she did know that quite a few fellow science students back in college enjoyed to cook and bake.


Dianthus made sure to eat his fill of the baked goods, keeping a good eye out to make sure no one saw them. Once he felt satisfied after devouring down three muffins and a piece of pound cake. [Hmm, this place makes the best baked goods!]

Pouring herself another cup of the tea, Vironica softly blew over the top of her cup to cool it before setting it down on it's saucer. "In my free time? Well, I suppose it depends on what I've got in my planner. Typically, I try to pick up as many extra shifts as possible, however tedious it may be." She chuckled, thinking back to when she'd picked up a shift just to get stuck cleaning. "If I can't find extra work, I usually am either taking care of my plants, running errands, or catching up on the latest Science Journals." She did train a little, especially with Dianthus being her only pokemon, but typically that was put on the back burner.

Picking up her cup, she took a long drink from it before setting it back down again.


[Ooooh, that was good eats.] Dianthus groaned out a little, then grinned to Tesla. [Good idea, someone's going to come back here eventually.] Using a vine, he shoved one last piece of the pound cake into his mouth, then walked down the hall and peeked out. [Ok, it's safe!] He called back to Tesla, then walked out to go back and join the two trainers.

"Yes, he is. He's been a good, close companion for a good number of years now." She looked down at the bulbasaur affectionately, then reached down and gently pet the pokemon's head. "We've been through a lot together, and I'm sure that the future has quite a few surprises in store for us. Isn't that right, Dianthus?"

"Bulba Bulbasaur!" The pokemon responded back happily to his trainer as he tilted his head into the pets. Oh how he loved his human.

"I do feel bad at times though; I don't exactly train him as well as I should. Usually it gets put onto the back burner as I take care of other tasks, such as watering plants. He doesn't seem to hold it against me though, but I know I need to start scheduling time into my agendas for at least an hour of training." She sighed a little, running a hand through her hands to push her bangs out of her face.

"Dianthus is my only one." She glanced down at the bulbasaur and smiled a little, scratching him behind his ears. 'And he's probably the only soul on this earth who truly knows who I am.' She thought it was rather ironic how the only one who knew her deepest fears and secrets couldn't even speak about them.

"I have a proposition, although it would probably seem a little strange. Would you care to do training together? We could schedule a date, perhaps once a week or so between our work." Adjusting her glasses, Vironica could feel the heat rising in her cheeks; she was not used to making offers that didn't include science. Then again, this girl was also in her field, so in a way it would include science.
