"It looks pretty cool. If I cared for pets I would think of taking it if it doesn't have an owner.." He knelt down to his heels and gently scratched the button of its chin. Nice fur. Would be perfect for a pillow.. Dark thought. "It has a collar, though..so I assume it belongs to someone. Shame that.." The eyes of the creature were a beautiful color as well, entrancing as he continued to stare at it. He felt almost mesmerized from the power of them, as if something deeper and darker was dwelling beneath its innocence. His fingers were idly playing with hers fur, his hand caressing its head and jaw while it ruffled through its ears. "...."

On closer inspection it seemed more like a little demon than a fox. "I don't think its healthy for it to stay with you, I remember how you treated the last little puppy we took care of way back when". Then again it was reasonable considering it 'marked' most of Dark's belongings. "Well it does look pretty cool, but I wonder where the owner is... maybe hes got wings to like this little guy, hey little demon dude you got a name?" I said to the little winged creature as if it could understand me.

Inukai let his ears droop a bit as one of the people scratched his chin and pet his head, the other said something about a previous pet..then called him 'demon dude'.. Inukai tilted his head at that.. Still, it was obvious that these two weren't normal humans to he decided to take a chance. '..Inukai....or..Kai...nobody owns....lonely..' he said...though not through his mouth..his voice just sort of came from him as he licked the wrist of the one that pet him.

He had practically ignored Dawn's mentioning of their previous pet. It wasn't his but another person/friend. Dog never behaved and always ticked him off. But, he would admit it himself, the only reason he did most of the things was because he wanted to be immature. Hearing a sudden voice call out in a rather feeble tone, Dark's hand almost snapped back when the creature licked his wrist. He was suprised, no doubt, and his eyes were wide enough to reveal that. It had startled him at first but soon after he was moving forward to pet the creature again. "..So you talk." That was all that Dark could have said, or at least thought of. Of course he was startled at first but it never took Dark long to register and accept facts, no matter how insane they were. "Inukia, was it?" He repeated, scratching the back of its ears.

My eyebrow raised in surprise and thought so it talks?. "I'll just call you Kai. If your smart enough to talk then can you tell us where you came from? Theres some nasty demons around here I'd feel bad if we left you and you got eaten by one." I said turning my back to it and leaning on the fence. "Plus its already late..." I said looking up at sky.

As Dark scratched the back of his ears again Inukai tilted his head forward so the person could reach better, '..Inukai..or Kai.....whichever you like.... ..came from the woods..' Inukai looked at Dawn and tilted his head to the side, '..you worry for this one...?' he questioned, though it had been awhile since he actually spoke, they'd soon learn that Inukai referred to himself as 'this one' or speak in third person instead of saying 'I' or 'me'. Why? Who knows...

He continued to listen, finally quitting the affectionate treatment. He wasn't sure if Inukai spoke like that or if it was from some lack of education. But it did say it came from the woods. There were woods outside of Sanctum boundaries and maybe the thing found its way in here, or maybe it was a distant foreigner. Whichever that case it was in Sanctum now. "I doubt it'll have to worry about any demons unless it goes outside..." His voice droned out, as if he wasn't at all sure about his own words. It was true, within Sanctum people were safe but there was always that one bit of him that told him otherwise. "Anyways, it is late. Now no one has a curfew but I should still think you should get a room for yourself down within East Sanctum. And as for you.." Dark continued, looking down at Inukai, "Inu, how about you stay with...Hmm.." He wasn't much of an owner but he thought of a perfect person. Two maybe. Nate needed a companion, or maybe the young Misora. But that depended on Mitsuki. "How about you come with me? I can find you a home."

"Worried?...." I said softly, "...I suppose." I dug my hands into my pockets and took a few steps away from the fence. "A room? nah not yet I don't think I'll need one just yet." I was tired but I doubted I could get any sleep. I could see the city lights from where I stood and it intrigued me "I'll probably see what the night life here is like." "...Kai, you'll be alright with Dark I guess just dont give him any troubles." I glanced down once at the little demon then to Dark, "..and aren't you kinda important in this town? Is it ok for you to be wasting with me?" I asked

Inukai wagged his tail happily, '..Inukai hasn't had a home before.... very grateful..' he said, spreading his small wings and flying up onto Dark's shoulder, he didn't weigh much in this form so it probably wouldn't bother Dark. It took a bit of effort for his to fly with those wings, but for little distances like ground to shoulder height wasn't too bad. Inukai looked at Dawn, '..this one will try not to give trouble..' The little fox looked happy compared to when they first saw him.

Dark watched Inukai fly onto his shoulders, blinking just a little dumbfoundedly once his face was right next to the creature. Being so close made him a little uncomfortable but he just smiled goofily. Somehow it reminds me of having a child..Before he got any comments he looked towards his friend, "I'm an idol of Sanctum but I wouldn't necessarily call myself important. Like all great statures they fade, and people move through with their life. The only time I actually act is when the Mayor sees fit, or troubles me for trivial problems.." He sighed. "Sometimes it's really unncessary for me to get involved but I can't find myself to say no." Such goes with his name: 'Suke'. "Well, anyways I'll be heading out of Sanctum. Patrol for the day is off and I doubt anything will happen during this time of night - so I'm hoping at least. Stay out of trouble, Clown.." Dark advised with an almost pleading tone. His flames unfurled beneath him like a pair of wings, blending in decently with the night sky. Of course, with his cerulean vision his flames were as clear to him as they would be in day time. His Dragonboard phased out of the ground beneath him, being the actual and only thing that was lifting him up; the flaming wings were only for show. Without any more words he kicked the tail and broke through the sky, making sure that Inukai didn't fall off his shoulder. "..You said you lived alone? Did you come from outside of Sanctum or further?"

"I'll try, no promises tho..." I said and began to walk away, guess I'll head to the Park I saw earlier for a walk then to the city Streets. "Maybe I'll pass by that tavern... I am kinda hungry.." I said to myself while rubbing my tummy

Inukai was amused by the face Dark made after he landed on his shoulder, then just listened to the exchange between the two. He was a bit surprised that Dark could fly, but managed to stay on the shoulder. '..originally from near here...but long, long ago...this one traveled far...' Inukai said as he glanced at Dark's flame wings and the thing that was under Dark's feet. He might be strange to some people, but alot of things that people did was strange to him...like cooking meat before eating..wearing a second skin(clothes)...fussing over their head-fur(hair).. Dark's flying board was definitely on his list of odd things. '..many places..not many people nice like Dark... lots chased this one away..' The differences between people's actions confused the fox many times, he'd tried to learn about them, but it didn't help. He liked being with wolves and other animals because their actions were more easier to understand.

Nice..that was a word he heard way too often. He sighed in his head; no matter how many times he wanted to say he wasn't he knew that he was. Probably the worst thing about him, so he thought. "This land corrodes under the feet of scum outside of this land, and for them you are just either a danger to them in some form, or look like a money emblem when they see you. Not to mention you look rather cute in that form. But as long as you stay in Sanctum you'll be alright.." He hovered over both Central Sanctum - which was mainly a single tower reaching higher than any other buildings in Sanctum. Around it was just cement and islands of grass with a single fountain at the very front. But unlike the other parts Central Sanctum was small. In no time they were already moving between the desolated Northeast Sanctum, and Northwest Sanctum. But he made a stop in between and turned towards Northeast. With the rubble of buildings here and there it looked like there was absolutely no one living there. Of course, that was not the case. An invisible barrier would purify demons and repel those who weren't for good reason. It may look empty and destroyed from the outside, but inside - in the other side of that barrier- they were most likely being watched right from the front by several other demons. They couldn't get out and Dark did not wish that. ....I'm going to get dreams if I stay any longer.. He thought, turning on the board and continuing on. He had forgotten about Inukai and just barely right now wondered if it said anything. "Sorry, Inu, did you say something?"

Inukai constantly glanced around as Dark flew, taking in the new sights, he honestly loved flying, but usually couldn't because his adult form made people nervous and he still wasn't that good at holding a humanoid form for a long period of time. When Dark stopped in view of what looked like a run down building Inukai narrowed his gaze slightly, he could feel the presence of other demons and made a mental note to stay clear of that place. '...this one is not dangerous...not to humans.. Inukai likes people and tries to learn better.. but it's hard..' he said as Dark continued to fly elsewhere.

"That's good to know. It'd be a shame I had to kill you." With little more travel Dark finally left Sanctum's boundaries and zipped up and over the mountains. From above he could see the animals quickly scurry about once they saw him. The mountain areas were shy with humans, and scared of other things that were not. In this case, a flying thing in the sky was noticeably a common visitor, but a scare to them anyways. Their flight took them to the center of the mountains where during the daytime nothing was every found. But now, as the half of the moon rested on the sky and the sun was nowhere to be seen, a deserted and disheveled village took the empty space that once carved the blank of the mountain. With huts burned -aside from his own hut- as well as the blackened ground, burned with long past flames and a gate that towered at least twenty feet, with a rocky structure that could have been confused for a mountain chamber at the far back, near the back of the village. This was the Village Under the Stars. .
