Nathan didn't mean to look lonely, and he would never own to it out loud, but he was. Growing up, he had only known the 'other kids on the block', the kids he got in trouble with, or picked fights with. It could be the same person, one day 'friends', the next 'enemies'. It didn't really matter: everyone was just doing the same thing, looking for ways to pass the time. They had nothing going on.
But at least there he had a reputation for being the tough guy. The man. Everyone knew him, or of him, and that was good enough. Here? He had no one. No friends, no contacts, no enemies. He wasn't anybody.
And that was lonely.
"You... oh. Well, Fluffy was cool," he said, grinning and trying not to show that he had been thrown off by her saying she liked him. He liked her, if they were saying it out loud, but he couldn't get the words to come out. If he said it, it would just sounds stupid. So he let her cover the topic for both of them, nodding in agreement so she at least knew he was on the same page as her.
Following her lead, he looked where she was pointing, toward the park. He nodded as he listened. The park. Nine. "Every night? So I could just bum around there and we could bump into each other again?" he asked, looking at her with some hope in his dark eyes.
He had more of his father in him than he even knew.

Technically, he'd initially shot at Fluffy, but he'd later decided it was cool, so that counted, as far as Scorpio was concerned, "Every night. Most night - I don't go out when I'm sick, or got injured," the later happened more than she liked to admit. The city was rough and rather dangerous. Any night without a Youma or a negaverse attack was a good night, in her book. Such nights were so rare and in between that Scorpio had really started to miss them.
She was still surprised that instead of one of the above mentioned threats, she'd found Nathan, seeing as how lately the city seemed to be crawling with monsters. Some of them didn't even wait till sundown, "But yes," a pause, "I really like the park. It's not that big. You don't have to bum around - if you're there, I'll find you. I'm good at that. I'm the senshi of Mysteries!" yes, she'll have you know that she's good at them! Technically, she was more fascinated by them than good at them, but that was beside the point.
After a moment, she sobered and looked at him seriously, "Be careful. And take care," that said, she walked over to the side of the building and dropped to the ground, landing almost as soundlessly as she had when she'd first entered the scene. She turned around briefly to wave him good bye, and then ran down the deserted streets - she really, really hoped no one had opened her door. She was counting on the fact her parents trusted her.
Ehhhh...
