i looked at the knife then quickly put my hands up.

i sat down and smiled.

The sister places her hand on the brother
to get him to settle down. The sister
gives a blank stare and opens their mouths
to reveal that they're tongues have been
cut off.

at first , i didn't know what i was seeing. then i understood.
"your tongues... who would do this to children?"
i suddenly felt angry, i wanted to find the ones responsible and...
and what?
i couldn't fight and they would probably have guns.
"alright. i think it's time we left this place, what do you think?"

They happily nodded yes. I noticed the combination lock
on the door. "Hmph, I didn't think they would make it easy"
The sister tugged on my sleeve and showed a number tattooed
on the back of her neck. The brother did the same.
"...don't tell me." I pointed to the back of my neck, so they
could see if there's a number.

they looked at my neck foor a few seconds then the brother held up six fingers.
"six?"
the brother shook his head, then held up one finger then five.
"fifteen?"
he nodded.
"alright, time to get out of here."
i entered various combonations of our three nembers until the door was unlocked, then we quickly left that room.

I looked around and found myself in a clean brightly lit corridor.
"Finally, a place that doesn't seem like a nightmarish room"
An alarm sounds and 3 men armed with taser guns appear at the
end of corridor.

"...that's not good"
I grabbed a fire extinguisher from the wall next to me.
Hopefully, it might actually make a good improvised weapon,
but it was still going to be a challenge to take down all 3
without getting tasered in the process. All of a sudden
the brother ran toward the men. "No! Don't do it!"
Two of them shot him with the tazer.

the boy seised up and fell to the ground, i was right behind him.
i swung the extinguisher at one of the guards and managed to knock him ito the other, they both fell in a confused heap.
acting quickly, i hit the guard on top in the forehead as hard as i could so i could take his taser and turn it on the third.
unfortunately, as soon as i picked up the taser the third guard shot me with his taser. i dropped my taser and was about to fall when the girl ran up, picked up the taser i dropped and shot the third guard.

As the Taser finally wore off on me, I grabbed the fire extinguisher and knocked out the guard. For good measure, I smacked the other 2 guards to make sure they were down. The brother got up and yanked the prongs from his chest. The sister seemed concerned, but pats her had as if not to worry. I could hear more footsteps on the way, so I started grabbing what ever I could get me hands on."Come on, we need to keep moving."

one taser for each of us and a nice fire extinguisher as a back up. while they would prove useful, it was more important that we first escaped, so as soon as we had gathered what we needed we ran. after a few minutes i could no longer hear any footsteps behind me, but i also had no idea where i was going.
the hallways were a maze, every turn looked like the last three. i soon got tired and had to stop to rest, the boy and girl were able to keep up nicely, but they looked worse than me.
when i got my breath back, i spoke.
"this is useless. we need to get out of here."

What surprises the most is the fact that I haven't seen a window. Could it be possible that we're underground? If only there was some way to be sure. Perhaps it's time to start opening doors again.

i walked to the nearest door and turned the handle. it opened easily and, as i walked in, i realised that opening the door was a bad idea.
the room wasn't lit well but i could see them, i could smell them.
bodies.
at least two. i backed up and shut the door before the siblings found out.
"lets try another room."
five more rooms were the same, each better lit and more
ripe than the last. and just as i felt this would never end, i found a locked door.
nothing a fire extinguisher couldn't fix.
three good hits to the handle and the door swung open to reveal a staircase.

"Excellent, just what we needed." There was a slight problem though. It leads both up and down. If we really were underground then the most logical way to go is up. However if we weren't actually underground we might actually just end up on the roof,
making things even more difficult to escape.

If we're going to go it has to be now. "No time to Dawdle. Let's try going up." We went up a flight of stairs and tried to open the first door we saw...locked. We climbed another flight of stairs. It was locked too, so we tried the next one and the next one. Still no luck.

this was getting annoying. while i could just break down the doors with the fire extinguisher, i was tired. and there were alot of doors.
i decided to just go up until i found an unlocked door and, four floors later, i found one.
the only problem was it said 'ground floor' above the door and no other floors were labled.
"it's a trap."
the twins seemed to agree, so we went up two floors and tried the door. locked and soon to be broken.
i figured if that was ground floor then this was only third, and we could just climb down to freedom.
